Great for conceptual maps

  • February 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This website allows our research team to conceptualize findings in a visual way. It is a great way to gain insight into how our main themes relate to each other, and makes it easier for us to see the implications of our work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidchart stops working when we use a bigger screen to see the maps that we have created. It just freezes and then I have to re-start it. Sometimes that leads to work being lost, so it's not the best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Lucidchart to conceptualize research findings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for qualitative researchers.

Pretty good, at least free version

  • February 01, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was free, quick to learn in a pinch, user-friendly and FREE.
What do you dislike about the product?
Took a few times to learn, but mostly very easy to pick up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I did not have Visio installed by my IT dept, and needed a flow chart diagram. This worked in a pinch.

Great Diagramming Tool for Process Flows and Sitemaps with Features that Streamline the Process

  • January 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I create a lot of process flows and sitemaps. I really like the ability to quickly create my diagrams on the page within the diagram without having to continually go back to a tools panel to select something. Lucidchart makes it eas to quickly type out a sitemap structure in text and build it automatically with connected symbols. Creating process flows allows you to drag from a shape to the next shape with a contextual shape picker in the diagram. No dragging and dropping from a sidebar and connecting lines between shapes, Lucidchart does that automatically and intuitively for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
I create fairly involved sitemaps and love the sitemaps tools which let you type your hierarchy into the diagram in a popup and see that hierarchy anytime you click on a shape. However, the popup is small, and when I click on a shape in my wireframe, the popup doesn't jump to and highlight the item I've selected in the hierarchy. This makes it challenging to find the item I'm trying to work with in the popup hierarchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create complex process flows with multiple decision trees for healthcare insurance products as well as web application sitemaps. Lucid chart provides great contextual tools that allow me to work quickly without continually jumping to other tool panels. Lucidchart also lets you automatically layout your diagram, so adding new items, like a new page deep in a sitemap will redistribute the icons to make space on the page in a clean format.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Like other SAS products, you have to be aware of the pricing models and what permissions you have to share your work with others so they can edit it too.

Best Tool for Flow Charts

  • January 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love this product because it’s easily available online and makes it easy for below purpose. With my need for flowchart, wired framing - That’s biggest part of my organization. With colleagues working in different time zone- We can easily work against each other version effectively. This tool is also pleasing for UML and sequence diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing can be attributed as dislike feature because it’s simple and efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flowchart , Process Diagram, UML

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Wonderful tool for user flow creation in a straight forward easy to learn manner.

  • January 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I am able to create boxes and arrows, while inputting text to map out processes, as well as integrate my notes on the subject. You can personalize your LucidCharts with colors and shapes. It also just makes complex things easier to understand for all stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes it is hard to drag items or move arrows without them moving drastically. Sometimes lines cross and it is also hard to keep shapes consistent. The templates are sometimes helpful, but they can also be hard to work with unique projects that require customization and personalization. It is also quite expensive per month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the business problem of mapping out my user stories and task scenarios for usability testing. I am able to see how users flow from one action to the next, as well as communicate this to the stakeholders I am interacting with, so that they can better understand the process. You have to have UX flowchart, so that you can compare successful completion of tasks with unsuccessful attempts at tasks. It also helps me to better see how information should be grouped or organized, and is much faster than using post-it-notes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that others considering Lucidchart use it if they do not have a design background or not familiar with more advanced programs. This was simple and to the point with very little learning curve. I appreciate not having to spend a lot of time training myself, and instead making a decent product for work. I also think people should consider Lucidchart if they have a team setting, where they need to work on projects together and interact to change diagrams.

Amazing for ERDs

  • January 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid chart is pretty great for creating ERDs and other types of diagrams. I mainly use it to plan out an app and its entities/ fields that I'll need in the API.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's kind of a basic interface, and sometimes dragging and dropping the boxes can be hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create ERDs for relational databases which I use to create APIs. It's a nice visualization and planning tool.

Amazing diagramming experience

  • January 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has many options of templates to make process flows, presentations, diagrams, mental and conceptual maps. You can work in real time and in collaboration with everyone involved, it is an easy to use application and very flexible, it adapts to any scenario you need
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be difficult to move objects from one side to another, if the diagram is very extensive and how many objects can make the application slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a very useful tool to structure the processes of the office, but also gives structure and form to all our work, together we have managed to make collaborative work much more productive

Good for flowchart prototyping

  • December 29, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and easy interface, and good cloud integration
What do you dislike about the product?
The ease of interface sacrifices some finer control
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's best for simple flowcharts, either for simple processes or for summaries of more complex ones. For highly detailed/custom/atypical flowcharts we'd use Vizio.

Incredible tool used for breaking down large scale processes and workflows

  • December 28, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We love that we can get absolutely and totally creative with this system! We use it all across our company, from pre-sales to training to implementations and even product and engineering! It allows us to see how we break down our large scale projects into smaller measurables.
What do you dislike about the product?
We can get super granular and in the weeds on this, which can be tough to manage. It's very easy to use but also easy to get way too deep into the details and lose sight of what we're really trying to accomplish. But that's our own problem to solve for!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much better visibility into large scale projects and workflows that often slow us down when the vision isn't fully realized!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Across the entire company, we've found ways to put some action and workflow around our big ideas. This has been a truly great product to help us bring more focused momentum into our start-up!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Lucidchart for mapping out several websites! I have even used it to map out folders on shared drives on our computers at work to help new employees locate different materials that they would need!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes at the moment! All I have used this for is making sitemaps and folder maps and this site has fulfilled that task completely!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization! as well as helping other employees to navigate through our business website, folders etc...
