Very easy to use

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All the categories of charts are well defined, one can easily create a diagram with minimal effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more categories of charts samples for every category from where one can copy samples and create one for then as per requirement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just need to define the requirements visually with minimum effort, and I find the same in LucidChart.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product for charts!

I couldn't imagine working without it

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart makes creating and sharing content effortless. Being browser based makes it incredibly easy to access and work can be shared with colleagues in just a couple of clicks. Prior to this I used desktop based programmes (Visio) which in comparison are so clunky to work with, I can never go back to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use Lucidchart for basic flow diagrams which often include delivery timelines. In particular I've found the timeline feature to be somewhat limited in terms of the range of vectors, types and editable features. When dates are added to the timeline it can also be a little buggy and duplicate text.

I've not really scratched the surface with the product yet and would like to understand more about how it could benefit me but i've not seen any online tutorials. Weekly webinars going through different features or videos would be a great use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use lucid chart for two main purposes:

1) Creating process flows. It's quick, easy and responsive. Also, it looks great! When I'm presenting processes to stakeholders that always helps.
2) Timelines. Again usually to update stakeholders on progress of my projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give the free trial a go!

Good Tool for Org Chart

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to import an old org chart, and work with it in the software between many users. I also like that you can create folders to work on special projects and keep it clean.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tools to make lines and org charts can get frustrating to work with until you get the hang of it. We've also had issues with the site crashing which can get frustrating when it doesn't save changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to use it for a large (850+) organizational chart with pictures, which no other software has been able to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of all the training tools offered.

Gets the job done from anywhere

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Scalable solution for small business -- It's fairly easy to pick up with no charting experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Should be able to embed output a little easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process documentation and constant updates as we rapidly scale our business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One seat/license per user SaaS model. Consider the number of users when buying the software. It IS possible to have one person do all of the updates, but it probably makes more sense to have a few core people on it if you are a small or growing biz.

Everything I require to visually communicate business ideas and processes

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Actually, works towards organising my thoughts, as I put them into the frictionless UI it allows me to see new opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the new features that have been added, for example, export to Powerpoint, not because I don't like the idea of it, just that it doesn't seem to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The communication of my ideas to all departments whether it's a new sales process or a technical product map.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For product or process design, Lucid offers everything I need.

Awesome tool for flow mapping!

  • July 25, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The gridlines on lucid chart and predefined flows are awesome. It's so simple to drag and drop and get things perfectly sized. It shows you mirrored measurements on the items you're charting so that you don't have to worry about certain items being larger, smaller, too close together, too far apart. I absolutely love the tool and use it every chance I get. It's also easy to copy and entire flow and paste it into a document as an image (instead of having to worry about formatting from source to target).
What do you dislike about the product?
I really like Lucidchart. It would be nice if the free version allowed for more flexibility. I used the free version for about two weeks and couldn't continue without buying the subscription. I think a free version that doesn't have advanced features, but also doesn't force you to upgrade would be super helpful and awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've worked on a lot of solution design documents and it's always nice to quickly throw together flows for a visual perspective. Lucidchart lets me do this quickly and easily. It's easy to get frustrated with other tools and spend a lot of time on formatting, but I can draw something out in a couple of minutes that's perfectly balanced and looks great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool with a bunch of flexibility. I think it's absolutely worth the money if you're building flows out often enough.

Lucid Chart -easy to use diagram and chart creation.

  • July 16, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I typically used microsoft visio when needing to create org charts and other work related digrams. One day I needed to do a chart and did not have access to the microsoft software. A quick search of the web brought me to lucid chart. With no previous use I was quickly able to create the chart I needed. The program is web based so i can access it from any internet connected machine and it is very easy to use. Minimal instruction was required for me to create what I needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if more templates were available, especially for wireframing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Org chart, wireframing, diagrams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Built in collaboration makes this an appealing software.

Decent but not great charting

  • June 29, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that its web-based and has some collaboration tools built within the system. It also has a decent amount of templates to get you started.
What do you dislike about the product?
It definitely doesnt have a UI to write home about and can be a little buggy sometimes. The spacing is really manual and even when it does snap into place, its often not the same distance between items (yes, I know that's nitpicky, but it drives me crazy). Also, while there are tools to share a chart, it seems like they could bump it up a notch in this area perhaps with version control or something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a project manager, I have a pretty big need to be able to product charts and graphs to get my point across and get my team on the same page in regards to user stories, data flows, timelines, etc. The benefit has been that I can create most of the charts I need in my position. I also occasionally use it for wireframing when working with the design department on a new app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a decent charting software for a good price.

Easy collaboration for process diagrams

  • June 08, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Aside from being extremely intuitive and easy to use, being able to collaborate with colleagues on diagrams using a web-based diagrams application is extremely useful in a consulting environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
No integration with Salesforce CRM that I'm aware of. This would greatly benefit service and support teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process diagrams and data modeling.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend this solution. There are integration capabilities that make collaboration seamless.
