Great for colaboration. features continue to evolve
What do you like best about the product?
Great for collaboration with team members. Great for documentation. it can convert other types of standards into Lucid. capable of role based authentication. covers most basic functionality needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue I find with this SaaS application is how slow it can be to download a document with heavy graphics or multiple pages. it is painfully slow to download a document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the problem lucidchart solves for my team is the collaboration gap usually created when a team member creates a document and is able to share it with other team members. it centralizes documentation and makes it easier to update it.
Pretty decent. Gets the job done.
What do you like best about the product?
Works great for creating the flows that we need for our company, to ensure everyone is on the same page. We primarily use lucid for flow mapping. Just wish it were a little bit more updated in look and feel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just seems a little outdated in style, but it functions for everything we need. Also, the user administration piece of the tech seems pretty complicated and isn't easy to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross department communication of company flows and procedures. Seems to work really well when we want to communicate what we're doing and why (flows) internally and with external organizations.
Comprehensive functions, could be easier to use
What do you like best about the product?
Good for entry-level product/designers and sharing functions is good. Even free users have access to very comprehensive functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is good number of choices in terms of shapes/flowcharts. However, as a junior product analyst, I do not know the real difference between them. Maybe add some tutorial?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I want to build a workflow for a consumer-faced App, and Lucidchard helped me well as I go through everything with devs and designers.
Lucid v Visio
What do you like best about the product?
The aesthetic appeal of the icons and the functional ease of use within Lucid give Lucid the edge.
What do you dislike about the product?
The import functionality from other products does not seem to reveal the exact details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work on Network and Process high-level diagrams within the Technology Projects.
The benefits are weighted around a more visual output than Visio, which provides an easier visual understanding of the drawing.

What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the cost to use lucidchart is bit expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving casestudy/project-related problems.
Computer programmer new to formal diagramming with BPMN 2.0
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use! It provides a lot of templates to get started, integrates with other cloud-based systems like AWS and Azure, including shapes to represent each of the individual services, and has many shapes to represent both BPMN 2.0 processes and software processes. I like being able to collaborate in real-time with colleagues without having to use online meetings for screen share.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't an offline version to use when the internet is lagging. It would also be nice to have more software tool logos: it provides AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Cisco, Kubernetes, SalesForce vendor plus Android and iOS icons, but nothing for Github, Linux/Windows development environments or tools such as bash, Powershell, C#, etc. to show what tools are used for software solutions. There is a way to import shapes to custom libraries from images though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting software processes both in production and proposed changes using conditional formatting makes it very easy to demonstrate the impact and scope to management.
great for collaborating!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share with teammates and inl I've time see edits everyone is making
What do you dislike about the product?
A little small the text and not much option to adjsut

Building a wire frame
Great concept, clunky execution
What do you like best about the product?
The finished look of the chart looks great! > love that I can add photos, departments, locations, and managers to each person. I love the drag and drop ability as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Manual information input is clunky and time consuming as well as a headache. Did not have a spreadsheet of information to merge, so was adding individuals manually. Would love to see a more user friendly and streamlined approach to manually entering in the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating the company associate diagram. As we grow quickly we want to be able to see how each person fits into their team and the company as a whole. It is strictly for in-house informational purposes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Merge data, don't do manual input
Good Place
What do you like best about the product?
Let us create a representation of thoughts in a simpler way. charts creation is what I like plus they have abundance of things for creations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fewer shapes and a library to explore...

Business Problems, complex business process
Great tool for online quick diagramming with room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The overall experince with lucid chart have been great. It offer tons of template that can get you started with almost any project of multiple type (not only computer related) . It also have a great selection of shapes, images and icons such as microsoft azure for cloud, cisco switches, and security icons. Bellow some other thigns that I like:
1. Very easy to create a design once you have watched the tutorial
2. Can share using the link, pdf, and export to Visio
3. Real-time collaboration,, whice excelllent for remote work

There is definetly room for imrpovment for example some time durng the meeting and collaboration It's a bit slow sometimes when more than one person is working on the same page. It also happend whenever you are collaborating without a meeting. I have aasked my teammate to see if that was only me but they are having the same issue. Please not that it is now super slow, its just not smooth as if you were working alone on the page.
I think the worst part of the overall experience is dialing with connecting arrows to other objects. I am relative new to the program so it may be my fault but sometime it is a pain to connect arrow when you have multiple obeject in area. For example a process flow with multiple if statement can become a challenge to maintain the arrow in the righ place after you want to add a new object. Connecting arros can become a nightmare for complex diagram since thae arrows may disconnect and connect to the wrong objects changing the entire diagram.

We needed a tools to design network diagram, process flow and that can be crossplaftform ( some of my teams members work with mac and other with linux) Threfore, Visio was not an option for us. We use the tools to quickly collaborated and explain to other team section of the proccess flow that they have to work on. Doing this have expidicte the collarobarion whitin teams. Usually we are at least two people working on the same diagram at a time while sharing the ideas over a call.
In short we use it for diagramming network interface, program process flow, and quick illustration during meetings. It helps communicate the problem and solution visually to the the customer and team memebers
