it allows you to customise the boxes and change the sizes of them. Also allowing to export them to a PowerPoint is very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?

Great for simple diagramming on free plan

  • November 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the wide variety of templates and shortcuts that make sketching diagrams very fast. Learning shortcuts can take a little bit to fully remember, but then it becomes second nature. I enjoy the additional content that makes collaboration with others more effective, like emoji reactions, comments on specific shapes and sticky notes. The ability to use containers to create a table of contents makes navigation much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the free plan, you can only have 3 charts and 3 boards editable, but there are still workarounds to keep working with more, so I think it's reasonable for being free. The major downside for me is limited shapes. You can't keep on building more complex diagrams. Also, on big Lucidspark whiteboards I noticed significant lag and loading times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can create diagrams of undocumented processes much faster than with other tools. I mainly use it to build flowcharts that make source code understandable for non-technical people. Since it’s a highly iterative process, the ability to draft quickly, rearrange space, and easily modify or completely redo parts of the diagram saves a huge amount of time.

Great for Visual Collaboration, but Embedding Needs Improvement

  • November 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As part of a cross-functional team that drives the lead management workstream at the company, I frequently rely on Lucid in order to visualize and share knowledge effectively. I like that Lucidchart allows me to share information about systems, movement (e.g. lead flow), and end results, while also representing our company's brand colors and fonts. I also am able to embed Lucid visuals into other tools, such as Confluence pages or Slack channels. There is a bit of a learning curve when you first start using the tool, but our IT team (managing the Lucid relationship) has done a great job of setting up workshops and training sessions with Lucid experts, including a recent session on Lucid AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when Lucid can be kind of clunky or inconvenient to use, especially when embedding into other tools. I previously mentioned that I am able to embed a Lucidchart into a Confluence page. However, this ended up quite large on the page and it was difficult to resize given the restrictions of the Lucid-Confluence integration. Since the whole point of my Lucid usage is to share information with the organization (e.g. sharing via a Confluence hub of pages), that was not ideal, and I did end up using a screenshot and link to the original Lucidchart instead.

As I am a user and not an admin, I cannot speak to the ease of set-up or implementation for Lucid, but I know our company has been using Lucid for some time now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps us solve the need for visualizing and diagramming business workflows. As a main driver of our lead management workstream, I use Lucid to demonstrate how leads flow from one system to another, how we determine which leads are scored and routed, etc. This information is quite technically complex and most marketers at the company require additional education, so Lucid is key to allowing us to provide that education.

Intuitive Collaboration, Powerful Features—But Watch for Learning Curve and Pricing

  • November 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to quickly visualize ideas and collaborate in real time with team members. The suite offers robust integration with other productivity tools, and its wide range of templates and flexible diagramming options streamline complex workflows, boosting overall productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is that some advanced features can be difficult to discover without thorough exploration, which means new users may face a steeper learning curve. Additionally, occasional performance lag when working on large, complex diagrams can slow down workflow, and the pricing for premium features might be a barrier for smaller teams or individual users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps solve the challenge of communicating complex ideas across distributed teams by providing a central platform for real-time diagramming, brainstorming, and architectural planning. This greatly enhances team alignment, reduces misunderstandings, and speeds up decision-making. For my workflow, its integrations with productivity and cloud tools make system design, process mapping, and collaborative documentation seamless, ultimately improving project outcomes and developer efficiency.

Intuitive Flowchart Creation, Room for Improvement

  • November 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciated how the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite allows for easy creation of flowcharts, an essential part of my job. The platform stands out for its customization capabilities, enabling me to tailor flowcharts specifically to my needs. Unlike other tools I've tried, Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite lets me incorporate all nuances to create charts that effectively communicate complex topics and simplify them for students. It’s the only online platform I've found that supports this level of customization. Additionally, being a cloud-based tool makes it accessible and convenient. The free trial version, though somewhat limiting, allowed me to gain enough value to be satisfied with my experience despite its constraints.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the setup process for the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite initially difficult to navigate. Creating marks, aligning lines, and coloring or resizing boxes wasn't intuitive, and figuring it out required trial and error. Additionally, the free version is quite restrictive, allowing only editing of up to three flowcharts, which limits flexibility in my work. I also feel that the process for creating certain boxes or elements is somewhat cumbersome as it must be done manually, and it could be improved by incorporating AI and voice commands to streamline and tailor creation to personal needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to create customized flowcharts, simplifying complex medical topics for students, enhancing understandability.

Versatile, But Complex Than Competitors

  • November 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite enhances our communication with nontechnical team members through its diagrammatic capabilities. It's valuable for explaining complex technical concepts, timelines, and structures effortlessly to those unfamiliar with the technical side, which is indispensable for our team. The platform's versatility in offering a variety of interchangeable tools suits the dynamic needs of our fintech company, where we constantly navigate rules and legislation. The level of capability it provides is notable; despite not excelling in specific areas compared to other tools, it performs well across the board and is cost-effective. It supports my team effectively, especially when working with a large group of 50 or more, which is crucial for our current requirements. I find that using it for creating technical logic and roadmaps alongside compliance reviews consistently works well for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the initial setup of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite slightly harder compared to its competitors, which could be smoother for newcomers. Although it remains manageable, the setup could be more streamlined in line with other tools. Additionally, while I appreciate its capabilities, I feel there are better tools available for specific use cases, such as Excel Draw for simplicity and Draw.io for being open source. Moreover, I wish the software had better integration with technical aspects, such as hooking into a codebase to understand differences between code versions and help create technical insights. This improvement in technical support would enhance its utility significantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to simplify communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences through diagrams, making onboarding and compliance discussions more effective and efficient.

What stood out to me was how easy it was to get started. I was able to jump right into the product and begin creating diagrams without any hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is definitely a learning curve to this. I feel that some tutoring sessions would be helpful for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to display the various levels within a concept map, and this product made it possible to visualize them clearly. Additionally, it supported the extra collaboration features I was looking for.
