The best way to start, is to plan in LucidChart
What do you like best about the product?
Showing clients the basic or complex layout of a proposed system/strategy is best done with Lucid Chart. Better than a doc or a spreadsheet in almost every way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes using CTRL+Enter vs Shift+Enter to go down a line can be a bit of a frustration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If I am ever designing a system, and it is too much to just keep in memory or I need to evaluate my structure, I immediately go to Lucid Chart in the Lucid Visual Collaboration suite and draw it out.

An elegant way to view and collaborate with data and ideas
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid provides a beautiful and elegant way to view and collaborate on data and ideas within a team. Thanks to the many templates available, within minutes of first logging in I had a Lucid Chart up and running and ready to share with my team. My personal favourite being the sticky note boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first it can seem a little confusing to navigate and move around the board, however I quickly found the resources available to teach me the "ins and outs" to help me move around the platform faster. It is only a minor criticism as it did not take me long to catch on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting lost in disorganisation and multiple projects to track and coordinate. Having a clear, and colourful board to work on has helped me keep track of the many tasks within my role.
Very good, more friendly user than other similar tools
What do you like best about the product?
I found it very easy to use it. Within 30 minutes using the tool I as already able to use a template to create a Kanban board and share it with colleagues to collaborate.
The implementation of the things we create was also a highlight and now we have been using it almost everyday to either create new items or to work on existing templates.

What do you dislike about the product?
Thus far, nothing. The tool is pretty interesting and the fact that you can collaborate live on the same file is super good. I'm still new to it by I'm quite interested in seeing how far we can go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is boosting our team capacity to collaborate remotely and breakdown the problems we have into deliverables and track them in a Kaban board.
Literally can't imagine making workflows without it.
What do you like best about the product?
It's super intuitive to use and very easy. It allows me to quickly and easily go structure out whatever visual I'm thinking of and easily communicate with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I actually strongly dislike. Overall, the tool is pretty good at what it does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Largely helping me map customer or workflow journeys to understand how we need to build our software.
Excellent tool for drawing architecture diagrams

Super easy and reliable for anything visual—from college to work
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, I’ve been using Lucidchart since undergrad, then throughout my grad school at CMU for research work, and now I use it at my job almost weekly. What I like most is how simple and intuitive it is—it just works. I don’t need to mess around figuring out controls or settings. Whether I’m making system diagrams, workflows, or quick planning docs, it’s super easy to drag things around, make it look clean, and share with teammates. It’s one of those tools that stays out of your way and lets you focus on your actual ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much I really dislike, to be honest. If I had to nitpick, I’d say sometimes the auto-layout or alignment tools don’t work exactly how I want, especially on more complex diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid solves the challenge of communicating complex ideas visually—especially when working across teams with different backgrounds or when collaborating remotely. Whether I’m designing system architectures, planning ML workflows, or breaking down research concepts, it helps me quickly sketch out a shared mental model that everyone can see and contribute to.
Before using Lucid, we often relied on static slides or ad hoc drawings, which were hard to maintain and didn’t support real-time feedback. Now, Lucid makes it easy to iterate on diagrams collaboratively and asynchronously, reducing friction in team communication.

Excellent tool for real-time collaboration and visual workflows.
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite makes it incredibly easy to create flowcharts, wireframes, and diagrams in a visually intuitive way. Its real-time collaboration features are a game-changer for remote teams, allowing seamless input from multiple users without lag. The interface is user-friendly, and the integration with other tools like Google Drive, Jira, and Slack adds significant productivity benefits. Templates are also a huge time-saver and help maintain consistency across teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Lucid is a powerful tool, it can sometimes feel a bit limited when dealing with more complex design or diagramming needs that require advanced customization. Also, performance can slow down when working with large documents or multiple collaborators. The pricing may be a concern for small teams or startups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps solve the challenge of aligning cross-functional teams by providing a centralized platform for visual communication and brainstorming. It eliminates confusion and miscommunication by enabling real-time collaboration on diagrams, workflows, and system architecture. This is especially helpful in remote or hybrid work environments where in-person whiteboarding isn't possible. For me, it has improved project planning, sped up decision-making, and enhanced team alignment across departments. The ability to visualize complex ideas has made onboarding, documentation, and stakeholder communication far more efficient.
Helps teams work together in real time.
