Great new tool for virtual ideation

  • December 16, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to work together with other remote teams on an active board with much of the visual similarity of an in-person session is great. We have already run a number of sessions where the visual has helped tremendously.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tools are still a little clunky so making edits can be difficult and frustrating sometimes. It doesn't link to other Lucid products well, so there are export and disconnect issues sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With an inability to be onsite, we have used this tool to conduct ideation sessions. We have also used it to structure some abstract process flows and thoughts from different teams and merge together. Without the tool, I think our work would have taken twice as long and may not have even been able to happen.

When it come to create architecture think Lucid

  • December 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am using the tool for almost two years and created many architectures
The tool supports very good editing support for documents that have shapes in many varieties and support many use cases.
Creating and editing a diagram is made very user-friendly and it is quite an intuitive experience.

Presentation mode is a very good function to present without exploring the documents, It is also great to view things page by page is an amazing functionality
What do you dislike about the product?
After connecting to Salesforce I was thinking to get the ER Diagram of Objects available in Salesforce ORG but it is not possible.
Also
It should allow the user to export to Word where we can edit the document to add more textual information
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create architecture diagram and present is to the customer, internal stakeholders

Looks powerful but commercial terms deter adoption

  • December 08, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the similarity of interfaces with LucidChart and, from what I can recall, different options to group responses by different people. I would like one interface to access both charts and a tool for generating ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
After a quick look, I returned to the product to find my free access had expired. This made following an online demo particularly hard.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to use the product for a few trial exercises and then subscribe or pay per use. A subscription model more like LucidChart where you can have a few free documents would be more attractive. Better would be a cheap combined subscription.

I don't feel I can justify the cost to give this product a proper trial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven't been able to use the p[product for anything other than a quick test before access was prohibited.

Very good diagram creating software, but overpriced!

What do you like best about the product?
For any beginner, lucidchart is very helpful as they have many nice templates available for different process/flowchart, and it is straightforward to use.
I also like the feature that it is possible to integrate with MS Teams and share the diagram with teammates to collaborate.
Users can import/export the diagram with data in csv format. This feature makes it very easy to build large diagrams with many tasks in much lesser time.
This is available on cloud and applicable for windows and iOS both.
There are a range of other features which are useful like offline mode, creating slides from the diagrams, able to manage status of each design etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The package is overpriced. There is other software available which can get the job done at a lesser price. So it is difficult to convince the management to buy this one particularly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Lucidchart to create business Process design and workflow.

Easy to grasp collaboration software

  • July 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the live editing feature as it allows me to collaborate with my team in real-time during a meeting. I also like the sticky notes that give it a whiteboard-like feel.

For wireframing, I like using the different flowchart related shapes that are easily accessible through a left panel. Also, I like how Lucidchart can handle more than 50 users at a time as seen during our meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the scroll and zoom is not as smooth as it could be. I have trouble moving around on the board. Also, I feel the UI to be rudimentary and not aesthetically pleasing. The editor has a clunky and old school interaction with dull grey colours used. I also think it takes more time to load than the usual collaboration software. I am unsure if its because of the size of the file or the number of users collaborating or general experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We give consolidated feedback for projects with Lucidchart in realtime. It really helps to have everyone's comments together in the same place.

I also create flowcharts to help my team understand the flow of applications. I also work in conversation design and use Lucidchart to create dialog flows for chatbots. Using this software has helped me bridge the gap of brainstorming when working virtually. I am able to collaborate with my team and have whiteboarding sessions on Lucidchart without having to meet in person. It is definitely a useful tool from a distributed team collaboration standpoint.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the templates a lot, which enable me to figure out what I want.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like video training, but I do not find it so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used the Lucidchart to create two workflows - one for our annual performance evaluation, another one for our new hire folder process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I also use visio for the organization chart
