Very smooth, collaborative brainstorm

  • November 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think the experience works very smoothly when I'm jolting some thoughts on a visual form and allow others to complement. The conversation then shifts from a vague concept to something more substancial. It also allows you to shift the discussion to certain aspects of the solution instead of the last one that was discussed because without visual support not everyone feels confortable to go back to something that was discussed 20m ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think, based on my experience on two separate companies that use(d) Lucid was the licensing. It was always a theme of subject and some chose to switch to other products like Figma that had a easier licensing fee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simultaneous colaboration from others on what my mind is thinking.

First time user after being asked to review a document created by an external company

  • November 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a first time user with no experience of the app, the user experience was extremely easy. The flow of accepting the collab request/invite, to using SSO and getting immedaite access to the document worked perfectly. The UI was easy to understand for the basic use case I had to carry out (reviewing, not creating).
What do you dislike about the product?
It wasn't immediately obvious how to move around the project, instinctively I mouse scrolled to move up and down but discovered the zoom in/out funtion. Then shift + scroll was obvious to scroll left/right, as is native to other apps/browser behaviour, but it took me some time to discover ctrl + shift + scroll to scroll up and down. From a UX perspective I would expect zoom in/out controls to be switched with the scroll up/down controlls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to share and collaborate on diagrams

Good tool for Scrum Masters

  • November 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to create with Lucid. I'm very visual & the tools available within Lucid help me to create eye-catching whiteboard tasks, retros, and team-building events.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucid definitely comes with a bit of a learning process. I know there are more functions available but it takes time to learn how to use them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for my teams to actively participate without always speaking. It also is a record of meeting that everyone can always reference later. Using Lucid always causes my teams to fully particiapate.

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid is intuitive and very easy to use. It does what it is supposed to do in a very straightforward manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI design feels kinda "old" and less fancy than some competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating diagrams showing business or software flows.

Reviewing Lucid: A Productive Tool

  • November 05, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the few best things of Lucid is that it is ideal to draw diagrams, for data visualisation, and to collaborate on the same platform, that too in real-time. It maks daily frequent meetings like Scrum much easier! Interface and UI is also clean and great.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing would be that the more advanced features would take more time to learn and implement especially if you are a new user. Also, the premium subscription prices can be a little high, which may not be good for teams within a smaller budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid makes it easy to solve problems like making complex ideas and projects, which is easier to share. With Lucid you can create diagrams and charts that everyone can see at the same time and work on it together thus saving time. It is also beneficial as it makes teamwork and planning smoother since anyone on the team can their input.

Nice features, centered on usecases with ample choice of different templates

  • November 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to start by chosing visual features based on task/product/project, easy to share and collaborate with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be hard to start creating new diagram if usecase does not follow one of the proposed templates, not obvious how to make team to use consistent types of visual representation (need to agree off-line to use certain subset of visuals), need more generic templates
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration is very easy with Lucid, especially for teams with remote workers and offices in different locations.
Easy to use charts to create, and what's more important to keep updated as systems change.

What do you like best about the product?
Enhancements over Visio, specifically collaboaration abilities and overall UI for symbols.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exporting via PDF or Visio format sometimes has compatability issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid solves problem with sharing diagrams with internal and external users who may not have Visio.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the user friendly tools and features
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating from creating the charts to managing files is not always the more intuitive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My colleagues really appreciate flowcharts to understanding requirements and Lucid enables that

Intuitive and easy to get started

  • November 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are simple but very helpful and thoughtful features for diagramming. For example, the arrows stay attached to shapes even when they move; building a key allows you to easily drag and drop new shapes using the same design; there are a lot of shapes and diagram templates to choose from.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be overwhelming to get started. Starting a new account with a template to demo different features would be helpful. Changing the arrow type is really confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative digramming

I love how customizable the tools are, which lets us tailor visuals exactly to our needs, making it easy to share complex ideas in an accessible way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can sometimes feel a bit laggy with larger files, which disrupts workflow during intense brainstorming sessions.
