Always wake up to your outage!
What do you like best about the product?
It is the only tool out there that has the ability to email, call, and text. It is very customizable on escalation for alerts as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, the only thing that would be an added bonus is the ability to have two active schedules and a quick easy way to swap the active one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for outages and call tree escalation.

PagerDuty Reduces MTTR and Alert Noise
What do you like best about the product?
One of the most useful features of PagerDuty is the intelligent alert grouping. Along with providing previous or current incidents that are related. The intelligent dashboards also help provided insight into team and environment health.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to provide some customizations to operational review reporting so that I can re-run reports or create a report of more than a quarter worth of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We experienced problems spinning up an incident, getting the correct people to work on the issue, and communicating the status to stakeholders. We can not spin up an incident and begin communicating within minutes. Along with we can now measure our operational fitness through the use of the out of the box reporting.
Tried and true, tested and proven. Looking for the best in immediate alerting? Look no further!
What do you like best about the product?
It's a solid, comprehensive, and reliable tool. From the configuration and setup, down to the mobile application (if you choose to use it), you can immediately see that it's a tool that does what's it's supposed to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some scheduling limitations (i.e., there's no ideal of groups or teams, it's based on individuals) and I have found that as they continue to grow, they move features (i.e., API integration for something like ServiceNow) from one tier to the next forcing you to graduate to the next tier, which is an added expense for each user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use PD for immediate response and alerting as an extension for my enterprise's monitoring.
Gotta love PagerDuty!

There's not really much that I dislike, they're doing great with what they're going.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They're helping to solve a lot of problems! The benefits outweigh the problem, and I wish I'd have found them sooner.

24x7 Critical Alert and System Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Timely alerting and flexible scheduling. We used to maintain Alerts, On-Call Schedules which are business-critical in different products. This application critically helps our products to improve proactive actions over the failures.
We have integrated our Monza alerting system with a pager duty to trigger alerts when it received a warning and critical alerts from Monza. PG is able to give us live feedback on any failures as quickly as posible. However, we have maintained our on-call schedules in pager duty. It is giving extra flexibility to alter schedules with an overwrite function over existing schedules.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes voice alerts (calls) cannot be acknowledged through mobile and it's not responding by clicking on keypad number 4 key.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a time-critical application and very useful during off business hours and when we are on-call to get alerted on critical failures. As Product Technical Operations we are working on a shift basis. In addition, we are providing 24 x 7 customer support on our inquiries and do the monitoring as two teams. Especially during the night shift on-call resource is fully dependent on the pager duty.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm recommending Pager Duty. Compared to the tools available in the market Pager Duty application is in the top 5 rankings. It is user-friendly, customizable, supports multi-users without any system issues, and it has an attractive user interface. I recommend this tool for Technology companies to implement and that cost will not waste. The main plus point in pager duty is zero downtime.
