What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to get started and great to have information about all critical incidents in one place. It's also very useful for users to be able to configure their preferred contact route: mobile app, phone, email, etc. so the systems generating alerts do not have to concern themselves with how to get in touch with people.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit of time to find your way around the web console, but then that's the case with any feature-rich product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use PagerDuty to manage an on-call rota and route alerts generated by multiple monitoring systems. Great that many of these (e.g. Prometheus, Panopta) have integrations that "just work" out of the box. We also have some scripts that use the PagerDuty API directly, which we found to be well documented and easy to use.
Great product with a few quirks
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is that it just works..
We integrate PD(thats what we call Pagerduty) with service now and though there are few glitches in it, it works for the most part and more than anything it just works and serves the purpose.
I loved it when the TV show Silicon Valley mentions about Pagerduty :) It was amazeballs.
And the number of alerting channels such as phone, sms and email and everything that is there so that we dont miss the alert is awesome.

I don't like it when it wakes my up at 4 AM in the morning. lol. JK.
its not that I dont like this.. but it would have been a good thing to have the way to test the integrations. In case of AWS integration, we had a trouble checking if the webhook was invoked or not. Would be good to have some logs to see them, or is it something thats there.. but I am not aware of?

Its great to know immediately that your servers have gone kaput in prod the moment something goes wrong.

Its a great tool that makes your life very easy, be it a dev or a systems guy or a admin.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use combined with the possibility to receive notifications based on personal preference.

No immediate downsides, obviously you need to spend some time with it to get the most out of all the different options and configuration possibilities.

Unified notifications, regardless of the monitoring platform used.

That I get to know immediately if there is issue in the system

Sometimes the incidents are not resolved automatically. Also, whatsapp integration would be great!!!

PaherDuty's phonecall bot isn't very legible at times.
The android app could also do some work.

PagerDuty helps inform the relevant teams about errors and warnings related to their deployment.
It's really helpful for us to know beforehand that our containerised deployments are working as expected.

What do you like best about the product?
PagerDuty's fantastic integrations help us stay on top of our incident management where ever and whenever. The ability to schedule escalation policies helps rotate our on call staff easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like PagerDuty to have a smaller list of numbers which we could whitelist on our phones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our CEO and CTO have no problems with stressing out about our infrastructure or essential services having problems.

New features updates , which are not informed to all users and the features don't automatically get started on our account.

Yes ! I have one . Whenever I am getting PD push notification from APP (Mobile APP) I use to acknowledge the PD incident. After acknowledge also I am getting call. I think there is no use of that I acknowledge from APP, That will be good if I acknowledge from APP(Mobile APP Push notification) I don't want to get a call for the same incident.

Yeah! Previously we used some other Tool for Alerting, That wont escalate the multiple levels and not and proper notification too.

Pager Duty have plenty of options, That will be good if you have admin access to feel all of the incredeible options.
It's reduce our half of the tension in off hour , Escalate the trouble on time without any miss.

PagerDuty helps us
What do you like best about the product?
PagerDuty allows us to easy manage our on-call schedules and coordinate our responses to incidents as they arise in a timely manner. With lots of integrations and connecting services available the functionality is pretty comprehensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ad-hoc on-call overrides are not as efficient as they can be and some competitors offer more flexibility in this regard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PagerDuty lets us support our products the way we would like to, with the right level of support of orchestration without being too heavy handed.

I like instant alerts by call, production rotation schedule and email notifications. Easy setup.

Did not find any. Hope it keeps up current product and improve it.
