What do you like best about the product?
I run a Client Support team. Getting in contact with the Developers & Operations is essential to our job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Running out of licenses, especially when there are new team members to add to the rotation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability; people can't hide from issues because of the visibility PagerDuty provides.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of setting up scheduling for multiple types of rotations (day only, training, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
That I write software that pages at all and I have to get paged
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How important scheduling and time management are with PagerDuty teams
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Notes feature is very difficult to interact with as we use a separate documentation area to track results of pages. When large storms happen, there is no way to aggregate.

What do you like best about the product?
The App and phone calls to my cell phone are the best. If my website goes down I'll get a phone call and the app on my phone will alert me too. Great to have this peace of mind that my sites are being monitored.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any downside. Works great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the problem of website outages and notifications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it for the alert phone calls and app.

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using PD for 7 years. WIthout us ever asking they have added features that have made our life easier. Fantastic team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike being woken up at 3am. That's our fault though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the best problems PD solves for us is alerting on non critical but still important services. Being able to delay alerts until business hours.

Excellent Pager App

What do you like best about the product?
PagerDuty allows me to easily customize how I will receive alerts while I am on duty. We have experienced a bunch of page outs over the last few years and PagerDuty done it's job well every time. We also integrate PagerDuty with Slack so that we can include that platform as a way to communicate the page outs with our team.

The support offered is also excellent as I have had a number of questions answered on first contact through their Chat support.
What do you dislike about the product?
really the only thing that I found somewhat annoying was learning how to setup the schedules initially. It wasn't super intuitive but I was able to get Chat help from PagerDuty support quickly and get my questions answered and schedules setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PagerDuty allows us to ensure the appropriate staff are notified when a customer needs help outside our regular hours.

Amazing experience

What do you like best about the product?
Amazing experience with Pagerduty. One of the best tool I have ever used for incident response. The alerting system and the escalation policy is the best. I also like the way we can resolve any issue with the phone call we get during escalation.
It's easy to use, you can create your team, add members, add services under your team and then create escalation policy as well. You can easily schedule the on-call schedule. It's easy to move services from one team to another as well.

Overall an amazing experience, and I highly recommend this to any company that want immediate alerting for their services.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing bad in Pagerduty. My experience is amazing so far, and there is nothing which I dislike about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are following benefits:

1. The rotation of shifts.
2. Automatic escalations of any incident
3. Phone calls as well as mail for tracking
4. We can create escalation policy for almost everything we need and as per our requirement.
5. Easy resolution of any false alerts by phone
6. Easy escalation of any serious incident.

We are using pagerduty to monitor our services/servers and their health check as well. As soon as our server or service goes down for any reason, we get an alert, which helps us to quickly identify the problem and resolve it. Which makes it even better because with alerting we prevent any kind of outages or monetary loss.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended

I love Pagerduty!

What do you like best about the product?
Pagerduty's a great tool for managing actionable alerts for infrastructure issues, we don't know what we'd do without it!
What do you dislike about the product?
The scheduler isn't as thorough as we'd sometimes like - it'd be neat if you could specify a schedule where everybody gets notified (as opposed to going through tiers of schedules). Or maybe it exists and we can't find it/figure out how to add it...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our infrastructure running.

Life Changing

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to send low and high priority alerts to the teams that need to know about an incident. having low level alerts gives us to the visibility we need, but doesn't wake us up in the middle of the night.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was aggregation and correlation. Meaning, dont alert that there is a system with high CPU, and then later alert that a health check is failing.. Alert me that a health check is failing due to high CPU...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team now works a 9-5 work day. We have confidence that pagerduty will let us know if there is something we truly need to attend to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool is the flagship incident management alerting platform. There really isn't anything you can get with competitors solutions that you can't get with PagerDuty. Just remember the greatest thing about this product as that with this, you wont get woken up in the middle of the night due to minor issues.
