Simple, Flexible, Fair pricing

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Split is a great choice for early-stage companies. The free tier is generous & Split offers multiple traffic types that allow us to manage feature flags on both tenant and user levels. The Split CLI is also an easy way to create & manage different feature flags.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a little clunky, but luckily we don't need to interact with the UI very often
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Split allows us to release & merge features before they are fully complete. It also allows us to easily give specific customers early access to new features.

Gives us lots of confidence in releases

  • February 28, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a PM, it it gives me a lot of confidence in our releases as we are able to customize our rollouts, and even roll back quickly if needed. It also allows us to target certain segments that we'd like to release to prior to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably more something we could work on as a company, but I sometimes have a difficult time finding certain feature flags... our naming conventions aren't that great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us continually release as we're able to thoughtfully create different feature flags and release as those features are ready. Previously we would get backed up in our deploys.

Split.io is very helpful and significant tool to our development process

  • February 28, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Dynamic configuration is a very powerful feature for advanced use cases that we have
- The targeting rules system is very flexible and powerful
- Flexible and powerful review and permissions management
- The changes to the feature flags are applied near-realtime without any throttling
- Security compliance is great
- The documentation is very detailed and helpful
- The support and guidance from the Split.io side are very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
- With mobile devices we have difficulty with removing the obsolete feature flags because there are several application versions existing on the users' side simultaneously. Therefore we have to preserve the old flags in Split.io till the majority of users are updated to the latest versions. Would be great if Split.io was providing a more sophisticated flag removal mechanism to reduce the problem for mobile devices
- The UX of the Split.io portal can be improved in some aspects.
- It is expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Split allows multiple teams to follow trunk-based development and have safe deployments without affecting each other. This speeds up the development process and reduces issues in production. Also, it provides confidence and a feeling of safety to the team because a feature can be easily disabled on production if a problem is found.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Free, with enough seats for a small team like us
- Reliable
- Easy-to-use UI
What do you dislike about the product?
The paid plan can do much more than we have in the free plan, but it's pricy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rock solid feature flagging management system.

Great A/B testing experience

  • February 27, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Split makes it very easy to roll out A/B tests. Creating new feature flags and experiments is a breeze. Paired with some powerful configuration options, using Split ensures we target the exact user segments we desire. In addition, the SDK is powerful and lets us automate away many complex workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, Split configurations can take a little while to update. However, we have noticed this problem go away with time as I'm sure that behind the scenes performance improvements are constantly being made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Split helps us manage the entire lifecycle of A/B testing and Feature rollouts. Once developers have wired up the code, we can make changes on the fly and assess how well our experiments are doing.

A very helpfull tool to rollout new features

  • February 24, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The integration with several SDKs like javascript. The UI is straightforward and intuitive. The review of traffic helps to analyze if our features are used as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new UI is simple, and you can easily find all the options. Maybe you can add an app to use instead of a web app. I need logging very frequently and lose time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The rollout of new features/capabilities in production. We are testing for specific customers and internal testing. The benefit to us is the easy management of features. If we find any issue, we can disable it faster.

Split makes our development hassle free

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Different rules to control features to customers. It provides a wide range of rules to turn on or off features.
The percentage role-out option is beneficial for identifying the best user preferred user interface.
Review options also help in preventing unintentional changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Renaming the toggle feature is not available.
Deleting the toggle is also bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Don't have to stop development / no code freeze before deployment. If a particular feature is broken, toggle it off. No patch release is needed.
If deployment is happening region-wise, enable the feature for specific regions.
We can also enable features for specific customers may, be internal customers only, before allowing it for everyone.

What do you like best about the product?
It provides a clean user interface and setup. It's easy to test features and run experiments
What do you dislike about the product?
As a developer and frequent user, I don't have any dislikes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a developer I frequently use Split to test our features by only making them visible to a selected segment of users. This makes development and testing very convienent. AB testing is also very easy to run, using split's feature flags.
