My Anaplan Experience firstly in consulting firm and then in Inhouse
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Implementation - I am more from business background and it requires nearly no technical background for the implementation.
Tracebility - drill down and history functionality help users to trace to the source of the figures to verify the source data and user inputs
Flexibility of planning hierarchy - ease of creating and maintaing the planning hierarchies
Ease of change - Planning requirements could have changes every year, and Anaplan is flexible to adopt changes
Performance - Anaplan is capable to support complex and huge volume of calculation in real-time, which is better than other planning systems.

What do you dislike about the product?
Excel Add-in - Lots of business users like using it but the tool actually is not sophisticated enough; The workaround is try to lead business users to use Anaplan New UX instead of excel add-in
Data Integration - It would be great if Anaplan has the file systems on cloud, so that users may easily trace the source files that they use to upload.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier collaboration for all cost center owners and reviewers;
Tracebility on the user inputs on the most granular level (FTE level in workforce planning);
Version Compasison - allow efficient and flexible version comparison in Anaplan directly
Cost saving - We have a CoE team with business background only and are sufficient to deliver Anaplan models on our own

Anaplan: A rapid, User-Centric Powerhouse Revolutionizing Planning Efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan brings the end users and their specific needs to the center of design. This means the platforms adheres to the processes of the end users rather than the end users having to adapt to an out of the box process. Even though model builders may need to conduct the on demand trainings to get up to speed. Once completed or with the help of implementation partners Anaplan can be rolled out in a speedy manner. Next to the time savings during the implementation, users will notice an improvement as well as a reduction of their planning cycles. Anaplan can be utilized to connect planning processes of multiple departments enabling a harmonized enterprise wide plan. Due to its maturity on the market, Anaplan has grown a very strong community with many knowledge assets and members that are happy to give a helping hand wherever needed. Platform related questions can easily raised with the business partner team or via email/ticket to the support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two limitations when it comes to planning in Anaplan. One is for sure the missing multi language support. Anaplan would only operate in English which may be difficult for end users who are not too confident using a tool that is not supported in their native language. On top the high degree of flexibility can be blessing and burden at the same time when inefficient processes are transferred onto the Anaplan platform without being challenged during the design phase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I have enabled mutliple business end users to maintain and enhance their planning solutions within the Anaplan platform without being dependent on the IT department. Many of them shared the same status quo before switching to Anaplan. There are multiple different data sources that need to be gathered and manipulated. By the time they are ready to be used during the planning cycle they are already outdated. Multiple spreadsheets were provided to the various teams in different locations making it almost impossible to provide updates to master data (structural or transactional). With the help of Anaplan those team could trust in the single source of the truth with real-time updates across all business lines and locations.

What do you like best about the product?
Great forecasting tool that is logical to use as a builder and maintain as an end user. It allows clients to forecast on a dynamic basis. The tool can link with various integration tools with built in functionality from Cloudworks
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting features could be improved upon but is getting better over time

Time to build forecasts are quicker whilst improving detail

Management reporting can be further improved, to introduce more flexibility for the customer

Within Anaplan, it si possible to solve any problem, as logn as you have an experienced model builder and a dedicated person from a buiseness side to give clear requirements

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is a great planning and analytical tool to conver a wide range of general and industry-specific use cases through an amazingly flexible modeling engine and nice user inteface. Recent addition of powerful workflow functionality looks great as well
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve for users to learn navigation and advanced features, such as pivot, drill down, etc. Integrations could be improved as well. Importing large data sets could be faster.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease and efficiency of use, it allows people to spend less time planning and more time with their friends and family.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the model locks down it can lock for long periods of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allows my customers to have a multi-dimensional platform with the ability to make an input once and leverage these inputs/calculations many different times. As my clients have expanded thei footprint within Anaplan they are know able to not only pull each other's data/results and work extremely more efficently.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is a cloud-based planning and performance management platform that enables businesses to plan, budget, forecast, and analyze data in a collaborative and connected environment. Anaplan is a very Flexibile and Scalable platform due to hyperblocks/hyper models, very strong in Collaboration and Ease to Use which includes Ease of Implementation becasue of we can build models using Agile methodology. As Anaplan supports various planning areas in an organization we can build an enatire build Connected Planning environment and can easily build Scenario Planning capabilities because of its multi dimensionality capabilities. Supports various types of Data Integrations and last but not least the product is continuously being innovated. Anaplan has great customer support
What do you dislike about the product?
Inspite of a lot of advatanges, managing new development and production bug fixes is still a painful proicess. Need more innovation in UX pages versioning as the cganes in NewUX are mostly manual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At Qualys, becasue of Anaplan the time for forecasting and Budgeting has been reduced drastically and the platform provides an amazing collabrative experience unlike excel. Pur CFO now can look at the budget and Forecast vs Budget vs actuals variance all in single place and is all live data unlike with excel where there were teams pulling multiple files and trying to aggregrate every week/month.
