Great Graphics and Easy UI, but Limited Learning Resources

documentation not that easy to read.
There are things in the web site that don't appear to have been thought through. Like not being able to see if there is a new version when the web sever is not connected to the Internet.

What do you like best about the product?
All the info, just there on the dashboard. We can spot issues as they occur and before the symptoms manifest in an issue

We have to pay for it. (I guess they have to make money somehow though) :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The simplicity of monitoring our estate of SQL servers. It is constantly in use and so easy to implement.

For us, it's that we get a fast overview of the current state of the environment. And that it can help on finding problems/issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Redgate Monitor gives me the most value through its clear performance insights and proactive alerting. It’s easy to spot issues quickly, understand what’s causing them, and keep servers running smoothly without digging through complex dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
If anything, Redgate Monitor can feel a bit noisy with alerts at times, and some deeper diagnostics still require switching to other tools. The interface is good overall, but a few areas could be more intuitive, especially when drilling into long‑term performance trends.

Redgate Monitor helps us quickly identify and diagnose SQL Server performance issues before they become outages. It gives us actionable insights into slow queries, resource bottlenecks, and server health.
Effortless SQL Monitoring, Improved Custom Scripts
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to use and set up Redgate Monitor. It's great to have a single pane of glass across our whole estate, which makes it easy to see long-running queries and database sizes as well as many other metrics. I also appreciate the ability to run custom sql to enhance our monitoring how we need it.

Redgate Monitor provides a single pane of glass for monitoring SQL Clusters, helping us identify long-running queries and database sizes, and allows us to run custom monitoring scripts easily.
User-Friendly Dashboard for Spotting Slow Queries and Production Patterns
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard that monitors heavy queries/deadlocks/long running queries, server stats etc. We use it on a big tv in our IT room, so we can constantly monitor our production server. Not only helpfull to monitor problems, but also makes it so you can easier recognise patterns/problems. Also delving deeper into why queries are slow, or the suggestions we get from Redgate monitor is very welcome. The interface is very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, customisation could be better, but that goes for every bit of software out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Production server statistics monitoring and gaining more insight into patterns/problems. Insight into slow or not optimised queries and solutions to improve queries. Automated alerts via mail and other options.
Quick Setup, Immediate Insights, But Watch for false Alarms
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Redgate Monitor takes just ten minutes to install. It's also great that I can understand what to use in thirty seconds, which makes it really easy to get started. I appreciate being able to see the problem query within thirty seconds as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Yeah. When you look at the service that's working well, it still shows you the biggest query even though that query might be running in a hundred milliseconds. And so you can get a false assumption of a problem. When in fact everything's happy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Redgate Monitor for monitoring performance and identifying problem queries to anticipate future issues. It allows me to quickly see queries that spike from the server, solving potential performance problems efficiently.
Just keep it working as is, It is perfect

it is built as database first and comparing to competitors allows to set up proper alerting and monitoring within an hour. With SW i will need a week to set the same

RG is big an was acquired recently, I warry about great product potential quality regression.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
as I said, comparing to competitors, it allows to set up alertting and motitoring on 100+ vital metrics. Others like SW or even worse DD cannpot do that and it can take weeks. ALso analysis tab is pretty powerful and ple please dont change the design of it

What do you dislike about the product?
Having to pay for all servers in a cluster can end up costing quite a lot, considering only a single server is ever the active server. The benefit of monitoring the secondaries is minimal.

Monitoring of our SQL Estate as a whole in a single tool.
