Simple and efficient backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Backup & Sync has proven to be an outstanding solution for our firm's daily and weekly restores process. It is a user-friendly program that allows you to backup your physical and virtual infrastructure to a variety of locations.
Due to our vendor's poor performance, we were able to arrange automated backups without delay after adopting Veeam. Veeam Backup & Replication works and achieves what we anticipate. Starting with the initial request, their support platform allows quick response and escalation between numerous support levels and cloud providers.

What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say there is much to be disliked in the software. It is friendly and easy to use and does the work, what it is made for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used the Veeam solution because we need to back up our infrastructure.

The community edition of Veeam Backup it's a powerful and full FREE tool to manage backups in littles companies.

All is OK for my business. Hundreds of youtube tutorials in several languages ( From Veeam an other)

Backup old servers that haven't got a full backup. Manage Backups in several NAS and cloud sites.

You need a full backup tool like this. It's important for ISO 27001 and ISO 22301

Works out of the box, default options are usually the right ones, easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam creates VM snapshots once in a while and it is not clear why. Maybe in the snapshot description there can be more detail on why and which backup created the snapshot.

Peace of mind. All of our VMs are backup up locally and on the cloud with proven recovery options.

What do you like best about the product?
Celan interface, I mostly like just jump into app before i watch videos like "how to do x?" Veeam offers cool UI so even you dont know how to do it u can just find that in first place u look.
What do you dislike about the product?
Prices are too high. I worked at many compaines but mostly its impossible to convince people to buy veeam licences. When you see price as dollar its not seems like too high but in my country that is too much. (Turkey) Maybe you can do something like special price offers for diffrent countries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most important thing for me disaster scenarios. When you use backup software or something like that u wont need other cool stuffs all the time. Like it depends compaines if you dont need extras than you can use other softwares. But why i use veaam all the time? Just for one thing. Its safe and stable. Like u installed everything and after 2 years something happened you dont need to worry about it. It will be still working.

It just works when you need it to work, and it tells you when something's not working right.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product has grown into a suite of products with extra modules and add-ons (for example, VeeamOne or the Veeam cloud management tools), so deployment isn't as straightforward as it used to be. Also, pricing model(s) have gotten pretty confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used Veeam when we need centrally-managed agent-based on-prem backup to multiple destinations, Microsoft 365 backup, or cloud-to-cloud backup. It seems to fit well in almost any scenario.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have complex backup requirements with multiple backup sources, destinations, and varying retention requirements, I'm not sure of a better fit than Veeam. Although there's not a 100% SaaS solution available with Veeam, there are plenty of cloud solution providers, or you can use all of Veeam's tools to build your own. They've also got native support for all the major public clouds, so if you're having trouble with an existing solution, it's easy to drop in as a replacement, and it'll probably work better.

Sorry, I tried to recall what I dislike about veeam, but still cant find it; a system administrator should keep an eye on snapshot removals for your oversized VMs; the new feature in ONE edition is the Continuous Data Protection for alerting and monitoring. It helps with this concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no more significant problem for IT Department than Data Loss, and this is the problem Veeam is solving perfectly. It adds value to IT Department KPI and increases performance.

The ease of use is perhaps the best feature of the product. It is simple to set up backup jobs and get them going. The interface is well thought out and easy to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a problem arises it is not always intuitive to get to the issue. While the system has a nice and detailed reporting module it could be integrated in a better way to make it more natural to use.

We had a previous system in place that simply did not work. It was based on older Tape backup technology and had become unreliable over time. It did not provide an offsite connection to the cloud and Veeam corrected all that

It is a great suite that does a great job. Carefully consider your needs with any backup system before making a decision, but I can attest the support from the company after the sale has been great as well.

Veeam Backup & Replication has proven to be an excellent solution for our company's daily and weekly backups process, We had some issues with our back process. As our vendor's lack of performance, After implementing the veeam, we managed to schedule the automated backups without any delay. From numerous DR planning, execution, and security perspectives, Veeam Backup & Replication works and accomplishes what we expect. For a seasoned systems administrator to solutions architect to construct a backup environment, it's user-friendly and well documented. Features and support methods when something goes wrong were more important than price. Their support platform provides immediate response and escalation between multiple support levels and cloud providers, starting with the initial request.

I have no negative comments as we are satisfied with Veeam backup solutions, But the price could be bit lower

2. Veeam sends the emails notifications for every activity, which helps to identify the status of the backup process

4. Restoration process is straightforward, reducing the downtime and helping to maintain the RPO and RTO
