Great for company backups!
What do you like best about the product?
It is much more straight forward to setup and there are less issues than our previous backup software - great for backing up all the vm's on our VMware esxi infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to buy a seperate agent licence if i want to backup just specific directories on a vm and not drives or the whole vm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The incremental and full backups take up less space than our previous backup software so we can restore from disk for a longer time period and rarely need to request backup tapes from an external storage company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend veeam as it will save you a lot of time fixing issues of other backup software.

2. Granular level restore for Applications like AD,SQL,Exchange, Oracle and Share point
3. Offsite to Cloud and Archive to Cold Storage to reduce the price
4. Easy to move the data from one repository to another and map them back.
5. Easy to Scale-out the repository
6. Replication feature is excellent,
7. Sure Backup feature is very helpful when we want to test the upgrade or make changes to the server

1. Larger environments have problem with performance as we had faced issue.
2. Support is not quick in terms of providing the solve the issue.
3. When used with VCC we have to get the additional license for cloud Backup/Copy data as well. It costs a bomb as total license will be double the number of VMs/Servers

Archive to cloud helped to implement archive jobs to cloud and NDMP backup configuration eliminated using different backup software

Veeam suffers along when used in large environment. We had issue when used in large environment

Simplified offsiting as we eliminated tape using cloud integration

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive Interface and granular settings give control and visibility needed to, configure, manage and report on the status of backup/DR in our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Restrictions on Scale-out Repository to 3 nodes - we'd like 1 more but don't have enough requirement/budget to go to the next license.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam Availability Suite helps us not only have Backup/DR - but one that is Monitored and one that actually works when needed.

The Reporting in Veeam ONE makes this product tick all the boxes and help you show your backup status.
Great backup product for physical machines
What do you like best about the product?
Free for any machine if you don't need central management and supports reverse incremental
What do you dislike about the product?
MAnagement of agents is payed for but hey, i guess you can't get everything for free
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for our physical server (only 1 i the company) and also have used it to backup a VM from one Hypervisor type and restored to a different Hypervisor type VM and worked perfectly rather than converting the VM.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
with the ability to do bare metal recovery and reverse incrementals and beig free if you only need for a few VMs, i highly recommend you try it.

Enterprise data protection for ALL workloads including virtual, physical and cloud-based workloads with a single management console

Licensing is a little bit wonky for servers in a cluster, some times you may have to revoke a license
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily backups from storage snapshots to multiple targets including the cloud provides us with the ability for our clients to meet our RPO/RTO targets
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check it it, start with a trial and you will be surprised how easy it is to get the application deployed and running your first backup

Snapshots of VMs are easy
Backup all work loads and migration to new DC using replication tool
What do you like best about the product?
Able to seed replicas that we are using to migrated to a new hosting platform in a new data center in a different state. It's a powerful tool that is easy to setup and maintain.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some complexities within the tool to likely meet unique use cases for their user base. But for those that only need the out-of-the-box functionality, the complexity and options can get in the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection of all workloads to include replication for a migration to a new data center. Also plan to use the replication feature to assist in the event of a DR scenario.
