Tape storage integrations, difficult to use and understand the retention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High availability, DR, Backup.
All in all it brings ease of mind that all the data is safe and secure with multiple manners of storing it.

What do you like best about the product?
Nice GUI, works fantastic and is very reliable. It is very easy to troubleshoot and find solution in case of error. Saved our work many times.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very hard to find what is bad with this software, maybe that our Endpoints stopped working when upgrading central console untill update of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have restored from single files to complete vm, very njce feature is instant recovery.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Top notch support. It just works without any of the hassle that the competition's products have. It's reasonably priced and is constantly refined.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Sometimes there are growing pains during bigger upgrades but never to a point that will totally break my configurations. Fails could have better descriptions and information about what caused the fails, but nothing serious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None at this time. Using a newer backup to tape option for archiving was a bit troublesome but it's since been resolved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't waste time looking elsewhere. If you have a primarily virtual platform, whether on-site or SaaS based nothing comes close. Competitors will tell you how great they are. Try them out. Use the trials. You'll find yourself ending up with Veeam. Backups will no longer be a hassle. You'll be able to spend more time on other projects and tasks because it just works. It;s the best VM solution on the market, by far. Try it out. It's great.
Excellent Backup and Recovery System
What do you like best about the product?
The additional functionality of the system has made it an all in one shop for backups, recovery, and monitoring of systems. In using the system having the integration with not only the virtual systems but physical systems when in the past they were separate.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I was first setting up the system I could not get the communication going properly but was able to figure out the issue and get the system functioning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I am in the process of rebuilding our server environment I have been able to recover entire VM's back to working order in a short period of time while still maintaining the backups.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is one of the best and easiest tools to ensure that your backups are done and done right. As they improve the software leaps and bounds with each iteration, I will always recommend VEEAM for the solution to backup critical servers and systems.

What do you like best about the product?
Reliability, reporting, options available, OUTSTANDING support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Paying for licensing through a 3rd party vendor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1 - 2 - 3 backup of HyperVisor servers of varying ages & flavors, workstations, and file shares. Easy testing of backups to assure they work. Replication of Hyper-V servers in case of production failure (which is what lead me to Veeam).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Veeam. When I couldn't figure out pieces of the configuration, their support team was there 100%, 7 days a week. As an essentially one-man IT operation that is critical for me.
I have not had any issues with VEEAM I have had to restore files from one of my disk with no issues

backing up and restoring is a breeze when using it.

I have really not found anything I dont like other than cost is a little high

This has helped out when I had to change my exchange server to a new server and backing up made me feel secure if I failed the install

If you are worried about having your servers or system fail, having this puts your mind at ease when issues arise

Veeam is very customer oriented. They help from the moment they are engaged. They thrive on customer satisfaction and success. Veeam was willing to help with multiple POCs and demonstrations in order to help leadership and the admin understand the product and how it fits into the environment for best results.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this time. We are in the early states of our implementation and everything has been positive thus far.
I would have been even more satisfied if the Veeam licencing was structured in such a way that it included 0365 backups. That is our next pain point that I believe Veeam will be able to tackle.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to implement a strong, readily available, and tested backup solution. Several cost benefits and usability items have already been addressed. We had a solution that unfortunately failed during a time that we needed it most. We were not able to readily test backups. Veeam has provided this solution and puts the organization at ease.

Understand you environment. Identify what your goal is. What do backups mean? How often do they need to be tested.

Availability Suite is an outstanding product with this latest release delivering significant enhancements in performance and reliability. During implementation and testing I accessed Veeam support and the support service was first class.

Nothing to dislike. The product is easy to configure and use.

What do you like best about the product?
Backups have never been so easy and trouble-free!! We have been enjoying using it for years and wouldn't change it for anything. Whenever I check, I see that all jobs have succeeded. When I have had to restore a backup, it has been quick and trouble-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to install updates manually is one downside of the product.

It has been so nice when problems arise to be made aware of it right away.
