Veeam is my go to backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, GUI is clear, works reliably, love the advanced features such as file level recovery from mailboxes and AD. Support team at Veeam are really good
What do you dislike about the product?
My only criticism is that the error messages it produces can sometimes be vague and not mean a lot making troubleshooting difficult
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting the business mission critical data to protect against the worst.
Gold Standard For Backups
What do you like best about the product?
The software seamless integrates with all enterprise grade hyper-visors such as VMware, Hyper-V, and more being added every year. The storage integrations are also growing each year, as the hardware storage snapshot integrations make backups even faster and less impactful on production networks.
Being able to use a singular backup software for workstation backups, virtual machine backups, replication jobs, Office 365 backups, as well as off-site copies makes this a near all-in-one suite of backup capabilities.
Best feature by far is the Enterprise Manager, when configured properly allows fellow employees and teammates the capability to self-service provide themselves file restorations.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the word choices inside of the application for restorations can be confusing to help desk staff.
The licensing of this software can be quite convoluted, as items are rated on a points system.
Consistency across the various backup endpoints is sometimes lacking. We utilized VMWare vCloud Director, and this product compatibility compared to ESXi or Hyper-V is incredibly lacking.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily backups of all production data should be the norm, and Veeam provides this capability via smooth working software. Being able to backup production workloads of all kinds, cloud, on-prem, Office 365, and workstations.

Start with the base product, and grow into the rest of the suite.
Good product for Physical work loads.

Easy to setup. Works using CBT even though it is physical machine
Restore can be done as virtual machine.
BMR is also available.

Supports Linux as well. Restore of files for Linux backedup data is very simple as we can restore as same as windows

Linux work loads give lot of trouble while setting up as I was not families with the Linux faced issue

If looking for the backup solution for physical along with Virtual environment then this will full fill the requirement if purchased along with Veeam Backup and replication

Very easy to set up and manage. Just follow their documents and set up without spending on consulting.
Reporting in the availability suit is very good which provides the report for schedules to get the future trends of the data.

Tool is not robust. This will not suit for enterprise customers. Best suitable for Small and medium.
Offsite Backup(GFS) backup file creation process takes lot of time to merge and create a long term retention. which will leads to not having offsite backup for few days in the process of Processing and merging the Backup copy job.

easy to administer and manage using graphical user interface you can do everything without the need to learn any weird command line as some other expensive backup software

Ransomeware are widly spreaded and hackers are targeting backup files,
unfortuanlty veeam backup and replication does not have a 100% protection against that.

We are backing up narly everything with veam backup and replication, VM+PHysical+NAS storage backup we are currently planning to utilizatio the replication feature with cloud connect to implement disaster recovery as a service

What do you like best about the product?
Application aware backup, File level restore,and new sure backup option, The configuration restoring of configuration backup,I like the option of test now for backup jobs and guest processing

Recently had and interaction with veeam support team, they sent me product documentation for surebackup, instead i would have appreciated any help in showing a demo of the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and recently I was working with Veeam support and they way helped me in restoring my failed primary DC and veeam server due to a windows updatewas so appreciable,Case was registered in support portal and they followed up from that time till everything was sorted, the follow up on the case raised from the support portal was helpful. also the patience of support agents to work with me.

Recommend using this Veeam product because of its ease of use and reliability , production support , cost, and the replication works like charm.

I like its fast perforamnace in regards of backup and replication and in the ability to recover data quickly and the ability to back up on disk and tape from the same interface

we found the veeam availabity suite pricing iss a little bit high

Visibility and control of backups, automatic backup testing and virtual lab, integration with NetApp

Yet to find anything we dislike, however it would be great if the write splitting replication was released to take on Zerto

Complicated backup estate led to reduced control, Veeam solves this and needs little feeding and watering. Complete confidence in DR strategy now.

What do you like best about the product?
It is much more straight forward to setup and there are less issues than our previous backup software - great for backing up all the vm's on our VMware esxi infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to buy a seperate agent licence if i want to backup just specific directories on a vm and not drives or the whole vm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The incremental and full backups take up less space than our previous backup software so we can restore from disk for a longer time period and rarely need to request backup tapes from an external storage company.

I would recommend veeam as it will save you a lot of time fixing issues of other backup software.
