A good backup product

The system is very powerful and customizable

Some hyped features only work in specific circumstances, or with a significant amount of customization

Veeam is a essential part of your IT toolbox
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam has a very robust software platform to meet the needs of large or small companies. I do know this as we have scaled from small to large and Veeam came right along. The software is easy to intergate and fully functional once implemented with minimal intervention. I would highly recommend this software to any IT professional needed more bandwith for backup and secure tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam has a bit of a learning curve. Althought Veeam knowledge base is vast, knowing what you need to know takes sometime. Veeam also provides live learning and documentation on the website. But to save time ask a Veeam support specialist to minimalize wasting time on features that are not needed for your company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had no immutable source for our data back and online backup. We were able to implement Veeam and solve these missing pieces.

Support is very responsive and helpful. The platform is intuitive and expansive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The visibility of exactly what a job is doing can sometimes be opaque from the interface. Often a job can appear stuck or waiting without notification to the operator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a method to create a reliable disaster recovery program and data resilience against different threats.

The ease of use and quick restores is great and the customer support is bang on, always helpful and quick.

Took me a while to learn it's interface and figure my way around it

Provides a convenient one stop tool for all DR tasks and helps to mitigat accidental delation of files

I appreciate Veeam Data Platform for its data availability, backup and recovery, replication, visibility, scalability, user-friendliness, and integration capabilities. The platform's strong data protection and management features make it valuable to myorganization.

The major dislikes about Veeam Data Platform include its cost, potential complexity for beginners, resource-intensive nature, limited native cloud support, and the complexity of its licensing model.

Veeam Data Platform solves data loss, downtime, and visibility issues, benefits us by improving resource efficiency, simplifying data management, and offering scalability and integration.
Veeam Data Platform - A great solution for Backup and Replication
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Data Platform is a best service for the companies looking not only for a backup and replication solution but also for dashboards, cloud backups and more. Veeam agent is very easy to use can be installed on microsoft and linux. Not to forget about the wonderful support team who usallly reply in a day and then also after the case has been registered, they followup almost everyday just to make sure we have found the resolution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam Data Platform is a versatile platform with nothing to dislike, everything seems very perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam Data Platforms helps to backup our servers and help us follow the 3-2-1 backup policy. We use it have daily backup of our entire servers in NAS's , replication of a servers and also a extra copy as in external harddrives which are air gaped.
Really Like Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use the backup and replication console to backup and recover data/servers. Use it on a regular basis to restore files deleted by users. Their customer support has been great. Quick response time and very helpful. Easy to install.
What do you dislike about the product?
User friendly, however the software stops working every so often and I have to reinstall it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes recovering servers and data easier. We don't have to completely rebuild a server from scratch when something goes wrong. Makes it easier when we upgrade and have to transfer data.
Veeam has been integral to our environment
What do you like best about the product?
We are a VMWare shop spanning across 10 different buildings. Utilizing the Veeam platform for backup and recover options has been integral for keeping our doors open when even the slightest hiccup has occured.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much to complain about. The support has been responsive and the service works well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From something as simple as a person deleting a file to a datastore corruption, Veeam can get us back on track.
Solid backup platform that works great with out VMWare platform
What do you like best about the product?
We use Veeam to protect our VMWare environment and find that it works great for our use case. We have restored both files back into production environments and tested entire VMs with minimal effort and no issues. The setup is very straightforward once linked to vSphere with a service account. We can quickly verify all machines that need protection are part of backup jobs. Offsite copy is similarly easy to set up and allows us to copy data to an offsite DC. On the one occasion, I needed support I was able to get a session set up with support and quickly resolve the issue. With additional features coming, this will remain our go-to for backups.
We will be adding 365 backups in the future for all users after recently implementing a test group and were very satisfied with the results.
The ability to bring your own storage keeps cost under control and allows us to tailor the process to our environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
One area that we wish Veeam made clearer was the status of individual backup/copy statuses. On our copy jobs, they can often stick at 99% and its difficult to get an explanation.

Veeam provides us with secure reliable backups using the hardware we chose for our environment.
Veeam Customer for Many Years
What do you like best about the product?
its very easy to use. works relatively well after a bunch of settings and just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
tech support has somewhat gone down hill which is dissapointing but its part of the business
