Early startup friendly bank

What do you like best about the product?
Everything about Brex is well thought of. Whether it's the UI, or corporate card features or budgeting limits. The dynamic credit limit is also very useful. Integrations with outher popular acocunting softwares etc. are well done. Coe banking features like transfers etc have never been an issues. They have become very good at international transfers as well and even allow exact foreign currency amounts to be remitted which is very useful for non-US payments.

The best part about Brex is the very helpful and knowledgable customer support team. Until now, everytime I have conctacted the cusotmer support the concern has been resolved, no matter how complicated.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Their money market investments are limited to $500k unlike competitors.
2. They devalued their points by 30% suddenely in 2023 with no warning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being an early stage startup, we have limited time and funds. Brex ensures everything we need to do can be done quickly. Also, its corporate cards and credit+budget policy are very useful for expense managemnt.

Great customer service that understands urgency

What do you like best about the product?
I've interacted with Brex's customer service team several times over the last year. They're always quick to get in touch, understand what's going on, figure out the urgency of the issue, and help me resolve it. It's probably the best CS team of any B2B tool (incl. Stripe, Mercury Bank, and others). Even after each resolution, the team follows up with me again to ensure is everything is still going well.

I also appreciate the ongoing product enhancements. It seems the team is actively releasing new features. I'm hoping some of these features will overlap with other providers, so I can consolidate my stack a bit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Becoming a new Brex customer isn't straightforward. Unless you're introduced through a partner of theirs, it can be difficult.

I used Pry (Brex's forecasting tool) for a short bit, but unfortunately, Brex's great customer service didn't make it to that org. Onboarding was difficult, and responses from their service team were slow and short.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expenses flow easily from credit card payments to categorizing automatically, to our Quickbooks Online. Our accountant appreciates the seamless flow as well.

What do you like best about the product?
Brex does everything i need with a modern interface that's like all the other systems I use. Nothing archaic about it, not an old company trying to fit a square into a circle. It's built the way you'd think it should be.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reimbursements get grouped together, so a $400 receipt and a $600 receipt get tracked as $1000 and sometimes can be hard to track the transaction down. But I've figured it out at this point. Only small stuff.

Ease of seeing where our money is spent

Brex makes it easy on the whole team

What do you like best about the product?
As a user of a Brex card, Brex makes it incredibly easy for me to check my spend, upload receipts, etc. I've had to make payments to overseas companies with different security standards and Brex has taken care of me. Customer support has been excellent when I have had a question.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don' t think there's anything to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need access to a company card and I need to provide receipts for certain levels of spend. Brex makes it easy, so I'm not wasting time when I should be focused on something else.

Brex makes expense reimbursement easy

What do you like best about the product?
Our organization has found Brex makes it easy to manage credit card expenses with their app that allows staff members to immediately capture their expense information and allows the folks in the back office to easily monitor those expenses. The app and the website are easy to use and includes emails and text messages to remind people to complete the back up information our accounting system requires. And the integreation with Amazon makes supply orders super easy to track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Brex notifications are really helpful but if there was a downside (there's always a downside, right?) repetitive monthly charges such as NYT subscritions or consultant retainers also generate reminders to provide back up and I find that can be annoying when I'm in a bad mood.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ever present problem of getting staff members to document their expenses in a timely way without having to hunt them down is made soooo easy with Brex. Setting spending limits and earning points for the organzation instead of on individual staff personal credit cards is cool too. And to repeat myself, the integration with Amazon (which we use for office supplies) reduces the work load on the finance and adminstration folks.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is user-friendly and I can generally find what I want in a logical, structured fashion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are missing and sometimes receipt entry doesn't seem to properly work. Also, the way notifications work doesn't always seem logical or as flexible as it should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating expenses and GL coding.

What do you like best about the product?
Cost control as well how we can import to our ERP. Also when there is a question we have a great support in helping us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing in Brex to dislike. Only concern from the employees is signing up to Plaid

Spend Management. Reviewing the expense and providing accountability to the employees using the cards

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use and the process of doing expences is smooth and we have multiple options on the admin side to set up mandatory data that needed and expecations on what is required.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process to get this implimeted was not smooth and the person we worked with did not seem to care about our timeline or what our needs were as a new users to a expence platform. I found to skip my personf or implimentaiton and directly speak to support was easier to do and faster.

Also the way the expences come in vs expences that need to be reviewed are a little not set up in the most smoothest way. There seems to be a high level of human error - if I don't set up the correct rules I'll miss en expence that might be a red flag. I was hoping there was some support we would get on on budgets to provide guidence and review to see if we did everything correctly but that does not seem to be something that we have the option on. But over all the platform is a learning curve we are learning something new everyday.

At the end of the day the implementation process and the training was extreamly dissapointing. For training it was not clear or easy and on top of that the mobile view of the app was never shown which is what people use on the day to day. You would think the team would know that's important to use.
