Brex closed our account because we aren't big enough!
What do you like best about the product?
Free ACH and good integration with other products
What do you dislike about the product?
They changed the routing number a couple weeks ago and then closed our account with very little warning
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed an Internet bank that has strong integration partners such as Quickbooks, Expensify, etc.

Started Great, Ended Horrible -- STAY AWAY.
What do you like best about the product?
We loved that we could set balances on each service to prioritise payments and avoid any unexpected or over charges.
What do you dislike about the product?
Brex used startups to grow their revenue and reviews then changed their business model and are closing everyone's account without explanation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brex did solve the solution of lost cards and expense management. However, they have now created more problems by closing many accounts for no reason.
Made me question letting an unregulated organization handle our money
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is actually great. That's not the problem at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
We got an email from Brex basically saying "we're closing your account in 2 months good luck." No other explanation. No recourse.
We've barely started using Brex. We've spent the last 3-4 months building processes around it and are slowly transferring our payments, payroll, etc over to the account. We're literally in the middle of that process after having changed probably 100 recurring transactions, trained our team, written processes. There's no explanation of why they're closing our account. Their FAQ that the email refers to also offers no information but says there's no recourse. The decision is final.
As of today their website still states "no minimum balance" and I don't see any indication of minimum turnover or anything. For all the downsides of a regular bank account, in my entire time dealing with regular banks I've never had one say "we're closing your account good luck" the decision is final. I've never even heard of that happening.
It makes me seriously question letting an organization that is not regulated as a bank handle a large amount of our money if, on a whim they just close huge numbers of accounts without any explanation, recourse, ability to appeal, etc. You think they'll care about your money if they get into financial trouble?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask if you can afford to have your account closed without notice, explanation, or recourse. If not, look elsewhere.
Closes accounts en masse with no reason or notice given
What do you like best about the product?
I loved how they wasted our time. Thank you!
What do you dislike about the product?
Closed our active business account without warning. We've been in business 15 years, we employee 30+ people, we have never had a negative payment, we always have cash in our account, we use it almost daily. No explanation just 'withdraw your funds and leave'
We do website development for huge companies and have no strange activity that would contribute to this, and the decision is final. We have a few months to uproot everything and switch to a new account, update all our ACH info etc, connected accounts, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are not solving any of our problems and I wish they had never accepted our initial account **which would have been fine!** But if you get into a relationship with us and we meet our contractual obligations and you kick us off because we're not taking debt from you or whatever the reason was that we weren't profitable enough, GFY
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't
From closing my account to staying with Brex
What do you like best about the product?
I like their responsiveness. And recently I got an incorrect email that my account was closing...they were responsive, and the CFO Adam reached out personally to resolve the incorrect issue. After that incorrect communication, they continued to live up to the brand promise of being a financial OS for startups of all sizes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had one issue with them, a recent miscommunication, which was cleared up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expense management and virtual card creation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Relay instead, or anywhere else. 0-star customer service and due to their total lack of friendliness to startups.
Great business card
What do you like best about the product?
We signed up for Brex back in 2019 when it had Net 60 terms. Since then we also signed up for their bank account. We've been very happy. It's a beautiful backend system for a bank.
What do you dislike about the product?
Brex changed its terms, without letting us know. We did get grandfathered into that net 60 terms, but now they are net 30 terms. As a result, it's hard to distinguish itself from other credit cards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brex makes banking easy. Their banking product is probably the best I've ever experienced. It's simple, intuitive, beautiful, and has very low fees. This is by far better than your traditional bank.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great bank, there are better options for Credit Card.
Big fan of Brex No Need for Expense Reports
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I don't have to do expense report! The text messages give me transparency and how much I'm spending. I get a lot more time back in my day and can confidently make business related purchases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe that I don't get the points like I would on my own credit card but the time savings is way more worth it. Generally this is a really awesome product and hard to find fault with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spending time making expense reports and getting them approved is a hassle and I often forgot to do it at my last job. I probably gotten three hours of my day back per month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Brex is easy to make business expenses as a remote salesperson without the hassle of expense reporting and fronting the money
Extremely user friendly and simple
What do you like best about the product?
Vendor payments option is smooth. And it lets me save the invoices/memos in the transaction itself. This avoid the trouble of using another expense tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the features are top-notch and intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vendor payments. International money transfers.
Benefits: 1) Easy process to setup a vendor and process payments 2) Foreign transactions UI is smooth 3) Efficient customer support team.

Brex Review
What do you like best about the product?
It was not too hard to submit new expenses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Did not like too much - I think that a lot of our switch over to TripActions was motivated more by our finance team than by the individual users submitting expenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expense reporting needs for the company. Expense reporting was easy for the users doing the expensing, saved time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good expense reporting software.
Easy Expensing
What do you like best about the product?
Really simple and user-friendly platform. Uploading receipts is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't run into any problems so far. No complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to collaborate with others in my company about expenses. Tracking everything in one place is great.
