Outstanding tool for tracking so many different things
What do you like best about the product?
Monday is so flexible, it is nuts. I am a consultant and use it for several different business types/ models/ situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few minor things I would change regarding formatting to make boards easier to view. Also, some of the linking capabilities are a bit unwieldy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A multiple of tracking/ reporting/ management functions. For example, I track projects which involve many purchasing transactions, complex logistics. I'm able to manage the whole flow from sales funnel, sales orders, purchases, delivery logistics, vendor payments, while providing intelligence to various stakeholders such as status overviews, profitability.
It's time to save your company!
What do you like best about the product?
The automation features and overall user experience really help us organize our projects and clients. The deadline and dependency features keep us accountable to getting work done and allow us to update our timelines if need be.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time tracking function has a lot of bugs still. Some of the limitations of features, such as how many boards you can have linked to your Dashboards. I love the subitem feature, but the beta status makes it pretty unusable to us at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capacity planning has become so much easier and transparent. We use the workload and time tracking widgets on Dashboards and all of our team utilizes time-tracking, status updates, and sub-items. We communicate and share files via the Message board, and we automate the Project Management process when we onboard new clients. All of this is saving us money and time, and creating better deliverables for our clients. With Monday tracking our efforts and helping us with accountability, we're able to see where the inefficiencies or communication breakdowns are in our process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you use Excel or another spreadsheet software, monday.com is definitely worth trying. It will save you time and money and increase transparency across your company.
Monday.com took our scattered work environment, and made it professional, clear, and understandable.

Constant improvements and additions to what the program is capable of makes you feel like you're truly getting what you pay for- a great program that's always growing. They're also very responsive to questions and suggestions for new features. So far every time we've thought "Wow, it would sure be nice if they added X feature," they've later done just that. It's a mix of truly listening to their customers, and also just having a great plan for what all they want to do with this product. Their product/company give you the feeling that you're truly working with them and using them as a tool in your own business, instead of just paying for use of some software that never changes and treats you like customer number #2,734.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional simple errors or annoyances, like how notifications can't be customized quite as precisely as I would like. And the Inbox feature doesn't help me at all, and no one in the office uses it. They have room to improve on how their archive feature works, and how past/completed data is stored. It's so useful that since almost all company conversations occur within it now, we need a better way to look back on an organized view of past work, however the archive feature doesn't work well at all right now. Once something is archived, it's pretty much lost unless you can remember the name of the task, and all sub-tasks are lost. So I'd like to see that overhauled in a way where that past info can still be found months or years later. A good first step would be to optimize their search feature a bit more. Another Archive related issue- all sub-tasks disappear once an item is archived. This is a huge issue, since sub-tasks are simply pieces of the task. So deleting them might as well delete all the task info.

Without monday.com our office would have never survived our work-from-home period. And now, we're running more efficiently than we ever have before. We use monday to manage different teams in our office all working on the same product production schedule. It allows us all to work together without confusion and constant interruption. We've essentially stopped using email to communicate with each other entirely, which has actually been a nice change. Instead of scrolling through old emails to find the information or conversation we're looking for, we can simply see everything in the comments and sub-tasks, organized by topic and everything. Additionally, my job is to work with everyone in the company, which means lots of little projects coming in from every direction. With Monday.com we've set up a way for each department to submit their project requests through a form, that then auto populates and creates a task on my monday board. Making it easy to see everything going on, and make sure I get all the needed details from each department right from the start, instead of having to track them down later.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great product for a company that needs "organization." We had almost no structure before starting with monday.com, and the ability to grow as you go, and start small, made this the perfect intro tool, and then later the perfect advanced tool. It's an easy to manage slope, make it as simple or complex as you want.
Intuitive & Streamlined PM Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how granular you can get with projects & timelines--it helps to see everything in one large picture. I really enjoy having the whole company in one centralized place, as it allows for me to quickly shift from board to board to get an understanding of what people are working on, timelines for each project, and any cross-divisional dependencies that may pop up.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a long time for dashboards to load, especially when they are pulling in a lot of info from boards. I've found a few bugs in the dashboards and have submitted dev tickets to Monday Support that are typically solved quickly.
I wish there were more ways to get a broader view of all projects across boards in an automated list format-- so for example, if there was an overall status on a board, and that board name & status could be pulled into a dashboard.
I also wish that subtasks could pull into the resourcing widget, but I know thats on the Monday.com roadmap to be added as a feature in the near future, which I'm looking forward to.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the workload of coworkers, understanding what is coming down the pipline and how that will impact resourcing. It gives a great view into what the company is working on overall and how cross-divisional projects are related.
Monday.com allows us to project resourcing needs out months in advance, which helps in predicting peaks and pits in workflow. It's also helped us identify when we need to bring on additional support to help the team.

Really recommend using the dashboards to pull info in from all boards.
Keeps Us Organized
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com has been a great resource for our recruitment efforts. We know where everyone is in the pipeline so we can contact them accordingly. Additionally, it has been super helpful while we are all working from home during sheltering-in-place. It has minimized phone calls and emails since all of the information is contained in one easy-to-use platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a few issues connecting the email properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before monday.com, it was difficult to track where our candidates were coming from since we were using so many recruitment platforms. Now we can easily organize potential students and staff in one place. It was also simple to create a new tab for this use amongst all of our other projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an easy-to-use, scalable product that is a great resource to keep everyone on the same page.
Excellent Project Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize and sync boards
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish columns could be customized for each group within a board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking time, tracking tasks, staying organized.
Comprehensive project management solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable the platform is!
What do you dislike about the product?
Every now and then there's something that I want to be able to do -- like add a text row to a column that's otherwise statuses - that isn't possible, and that drives me crazy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy way to track tasks where multiple people are involved! Before, our onboarding process involved a lot of chasing people down to ask if they'd completed tasks yet. Now, I can just glance at the board and see!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend thinking through your workflows and drawing out how you'd ideally like them to work as a starting place for how Monday can help you out!
Great Tool for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user friendly it is compared to other platforms i've used like jira. Its super simple to navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
There is definitely a lot of emails that sometime overwhelm my inbox
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm keeping better track of all the work that needs to be done. I love how monday will email me letting me know what tasks need to be completed for the day. I've realized i've been able to manage my time better now that i have a system that keeps track of all the tasks i need to do for each day of the work week
So helpful for managing events and trade shows
What do you like best about the product?
I like the customizable columns and format. Especially like easily export to create reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I can get carried away with adding detail

Tracking and logging communication. Our team is on the same page now that we use this tool
Does the work of 3 people
What do you like best about the product?
Monday.com has so many features, so much automation customization that it does the work of art least 3 people automatically for us. For example, it grabs our payments and adds them to a spreadsheet, it also organizes our expenses automatically. It helps us keep track our our clients automatically too!
I also really like that we can add our clients to specific projects we're working on. We can hide specific areas from them as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a lot to dislike. You can customize it however you want. It works for every company imaginable.
If I had one criticism, it would be that I can't customize the theme as much as I'd like. For example, you can change colors but not much else. Sure, you can change the view, but I wish there wasn't such a "sameness" to everything.
I'd also like to see an ingrained chat within Monday.com. We use Slack to communicate and it works well with Monday. Why can Slack channels be added directly to Monday though?

It's sped up our productivity so much. We no longer have to remember to do our numbers. It does them for us.
That's a huge thing. I hate keeping track of bills, payments, etc. Setting up the automations was easy and now I'm just able to sign in and look at everything.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want things done for you automatically, give it a try. The automations give you a lot of flexibility. You might think that it's too techy, but it's actually pretty intuitive.
Yes, there's a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it, you'll be hooked!
