One of the best course vendors
What do you like best about the product?
The depth of content across numerous topics and created by a variety of creators.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the courses are way too long. For instance, if I want to learn how to use Google Gmail, I don't need a 1 hour course. The ability to pull from content to create specific lessons would be so helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Availability of numerous topics that are generic which we do not have to "reinvent the wheel".
Great Support and Resources
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the relationship with my account rep. She is very in tune to our needs and committed to our success.
What do you dislike about the product?
We often have to weed through outdated content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing coursework that fits our needs.
Many options for different leaners!
What do you like best about the product?
The OpenSesame course catalog has many choices that cater to different types of learners. The same material can be taught in different forms. I am very impressed with the curated lists and the personalization and guidance of my customer success manager. Leo is awesome to work with. The courses are easy to filter when searching for your particular needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything that I dislike about OpenSesame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is bridging the gap between modern learners and updated courses.
Great Assortment of Training Material for all Needs
What do you like best about the product?
So much content and material. The support is responsive and helpful and our account manager is always helpful and works with whatever the ask.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be issues at times with the content and the integration with our LXP. This isn't strictly on OS but it can be an issue occasionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that we have content when in house build isn't possible or cost effective
Relevant and engaging content, delivered in an easy way
What do you like best about the product?
The OpenSesame library is quite extensive and allows us to choose between tens of thousands of courses across a plethora of topics, which is crucial for our team to effectively speak to the interests of our 23,000+ internal clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some publishers included in the OpenSesame library offer content that is quite outdated visually. While this is often a matter of preference on our end, there are select publishers that our team avoids.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to collect internal feedback on the topics and learning needs of our employees and explore/curate the most relevant content in a variety of mediums that speak to our clients' own preferences and workflows.
OpenSesame meets our content needs.
What do you like best about the product?
Motivated and helpful partner. Customer Support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some less than engaging content. Curation takes too long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning content is helping our organization develop skills.
Curated lists are so helpful!
What do you like best about the product?
We have really appreciated the custom lists the team curates for us. It takes away that pressure of having to search on our own and the lists they've created have been spot on. It really makes it easy to implement on our end. Our account rep is also very helpful and thorough!
What do you dislike about the product?
It is expensive for a nonprofit. Maybe there could be some kinfd of mini membership for organizations with small budgets like ours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing people/ soft skills and professional development in one package to our staff.
Review
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Wide range of course offerings that meet the needs of our learners at our organization. The follow up when we have a question is so quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a lot of content for higher up leadership like Directors or VPs. I don't like that it is not a requirement for all publishers have closed captions on their videos. We value having closed captions so it is accessible to everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have given feedback on providing more content for upper managment and they have added it to their gap tracker.
Incredible catalog of content for personal and professional growth
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the catalog of content contains such an incredible variety of content, from personal and professional growth topics, to business lines, to really niche and specific skillsets. As a small L&D team, we love being able to partner closely with a Content Curation team to help us select the right courses for our organization. We see them as an extension of our L&D team and they help make our work so much easier, ensuring we're getting the right content for our folks that aligns to our learning preferences and needs! We love that we can pull Ted Talks, book reviews, full courses for leadership or shorter micro-learnings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the content can be really "traditional" - Rise courses, interactive click-throughs, powerpoints that scroll by themselves, etc. But that's kind of the nature of the beast for L&D right now. In general, our options for styles of learning content is pretty limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small team of two and don't have the time to create our own content, so we lean heavily on the content provided by OpenSesame to build our programs (leadership development, personal and professional growth, skill building).
We purchased OpenSesame to replace our old vendor in June of 2023.
What do you like best about the product?
The large selection of courses, and the ability to direct-send courses to individual users; also, the ability to add preview accounts to each group. Also like the help provided by the curation team. Customer support is awesome, they respond very quickly whenever we have any questions/issues.
We use SuccessFactors LMS, it integrates with the LMS very easily.
For required Safety courses, the user base is quite high, and we're working on adding more professional development courses to our catalogue.

What do you dislike about the product?
I know the team is working on this, but at this time we only have one user who is an administrator. We would like to have multiple account administrators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small but growing company. We have a number of ESH and HR requirements, and do not have the resources to create our own. The courses provided by OpenSesame are excellent. We are also working to add more professional development courses this year.
