We love open sesame!
What do you like best about the product?
We love the ability to get engaging off the shelf courses for our staff!
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish we had more integration directly with our LMS but I’m pretty sure they’re working on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Open sesame made our required compliance training easy to chose and administer which resulted in much higher participation from our staff!

What do you like best about the product?
The level of customer service and focus on our relationship is impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that some courses are not available or successful in both English and Spanish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The variety in e-learning content, up to date topics, professional delivery.
Simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
The most favorable feature is how simple it is. It is not overwhelming to look at when you first open it in the morning, regardless of how much work needs to be done that day. It makes it more user-friendly, which decreases the amount of users who have to spend time requesting help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the program will lag- causing myself or students to lose work. I wish there was a “save” option so I could retain my work through the program, instead of having to paste my work somewhere to keep it safe just in case of a lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It speeds up the daily tasks that I used to spend much longer on. It makes it easier to organize tasks as well so I can split them up between my colleagues - such as messaging peers and looking at assignments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For those considering using OpenSesame, I absolutely recommended it. It is the most user and age-friendly program I have used for education so far. This maximizes the amount of time spent on work and decreases time contacting IT.

The price point compared to many of the competitors are a great selling point in combination with the ease of the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Within this space it is difficult to manage and track the return on investment and in the current time we have decided to postpone our involvement with the company

Permitting my colleagues with opportunities to education themselves and to stay informed

What do you like best about the product?
The smart list and searching function within the application are wonderful to use. Support by the team, whenever I have encountered any issues, has been amazing throughout my use of the product. The final main best part that I have found within this learning platform is the ability to demo the course before committing to it. Normally in the past, I have guessed somewhat on whether or not I will like a course or not, and it has ended up causing me to waste money by buying courses that I did not get value out of. This platform, however, has caused that to no longer be an issue for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The standardization between courses is not always as nice as I would like to be. While the list creating is nice, finding the course I would like to take in the first place can cause issues sometimes. Other than that, there weren't any other dislikes of mine. Overall, the entire system is very well structured and displayed and makes for a happy user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently solving the problem of learning within the workplace. Sure, I could find a learning course on youtube or other places. But OpenSesame guarantees accuracy within the learning modules, as well as the information is presented in a much better manner than I would find elsewhere. The benefits I have realized is I dont waste time on courses that I see to be not as beneficial. As I mentioned earlier, I can demo a course to see if I like it or not. Because of this feature, I can decide early on if I want to dedicate time and money to that specific course before going further. Thus, the benefit I have realized is not only monetary in value, but also in terms of time that can be saved by not wasting time on the course.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this as a solid choice for the learning system. Comparing this to other alternatives that are currently out there, this one comes frontrunning for the group based upon my personal experience.
Great Training Tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that I do not have to download any extra software to use this program. I can use it on the web. I have plenty to download and am happy to not add more software. I enjoy the live online training. I also enjoy the online learning tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that this is not able to be used asynchronously. In my organization, it is not always possible to do live training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to do quick trainings quickly and easily.
Good content readily available
What do you like best about the product?
Their library of courses is large and diverse. They have a lot to choose from so I know I will get content that is relevant to the topic.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much content that sometimes it is hard to find and decide which course would be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using OpenSesame courses during the COVID-19 pandemic has been especially helpful with so many employees now working from home. Stuff that would have been trained on in-person has been done on-line.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
OpenSesame has a great library of content. There is a lot to choose from and they have it grouped by topic and industry. They integrate very well with the LMS that my company uses and from what I have heard from others in the industry they integrate well with other LMS's too. Really look at their library before making a decision so you know for sure if it is the right content and platform for you.
Great Customer Service and Amazing Library of Courses
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the variety of courses that are included in the Plus membership, and the ease with the integration with our LMS. One of our biggest issues with our previous LMS was the lack of content and the need to procure courses from multiple publishers; OpenSesame has made this process so much easier because we can now procure courses directly through them.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the biggest issues is sharing chosen courses easily - we want to encourage employees to find courses to add into the LMS, but there is no good way to quickly do this without creating an account. Another frustration is with our particular LMS, we are unable to bring over accurate durations, so that has to be changed once uploaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company has used many different courses from OpenSesame from compliance and safety to leadership and soft skills. It has people more engaged and more interested in going into our LMS and looking for additional knowledge.
Best Catalog for Wide Variety of Courses
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the wide range of courses and the ability to select courses of all different lengths. We reviewed a lot of different sexual harassment courses, and Open Sesame had by far the best one!
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few courses that were not engaging at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using the Unlawful Harassment employee and manager courses to meet our annual sexual harassment requirement training need. We have also used some of the diversity courses to better educate our employees. It's great that employees have access to take these courses at any time, from anywhere.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't have an LMS, they have a great option to roll out training on Course Cloud.
Gratitude for Great Content & Services
What do you like best about the product?
I personally like the wealth of good quality publishers that I have access to, which provides employees with a plethora of choices & styles to suit their needs. I love the fact that there are different looks & feel to appeal to a multitude of preferences. I also like the fact that we have a choice of duration's too - some employees like quick bite size learning & others love going deeper into acquiring knowledge that they can apply in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike. I would like to see more compliance courses for the European regulations & audience & I know that Open Sesame are always looking to partner with great publishers. I think then they will have the full holistic view which will appeal to even more organisations. In particular courses that focus on the Quality ISO standards for internal & external audits/some certification routes too as these are always a plus point. & further Health & Safety content covering a broader range of topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Open Sesame content/courses are supporting the business in a variety of ways. During these unprecedented times they are providing access to learning to help remote workers. They are a great resource that employees can access right away from the comfort of their own home or office. Ensuring any mandatory learning required from a compliance perspective can still be completed within reason. Plus there is a multitude of content that employees can access if they choose to, to complete self directed learning.
