Squadcast streamlines alerting, rotations, and team organization!

What do you like best about the product?
Breaking out internal users into unique and specific squads helps organize alerting structure and regular rotations
What do you dislike about the product?
Some alerts can unknowingly get left in a triggered state after they have been resolved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building out 24/7 squad coverage rotations for holidays or weekends for support and development teams has helped address blindspots and mitigate more significant problems that may occur during our non-working hours
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider looking into Squadcasts integration abilities as you can make specific alerts that notify via email, text, phone call, Slack, etc., and test what notification frequency works best for you and your squads.

What do you like best about the product?
With our company, I like that it automatically assigns you to your designated time slot. Notifications are received easily and setup was simple. The menu is easy to go through as well. So far it's been one of the easiest tools we've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Other than being paranoid that it's not working, I haven't found an issue with the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The issues we get are from customers having after hour issues. Issues can range from internet being down, computer not turning on, or simple cannot access email issues. It varies as what's important to the customer to get resolved as soon as possible rather than waiting until the office is opened.

What do you like best about the product?
- Simple configuration
- Easier integrations with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Sentry
- Notifications and integration with Slack
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish to see support for mobile apps integration for alerting on-calls via phone-based notifications such a texting, alerts to grab their immediate attention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing high severity incidents for our product via creating an on-call rotation in Squadcast. We are also integrating Squadcast with our monitoring tools, such as Datadog.

What do you like best about the product?
Dashboard with statistics, it is easy to aggregate issues from different sources
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not so easy to see which issues are being worked on (in progress)

We track issues that come from customer support as well as potential bugs which are logged by plugins like Sentry

What do you like best about the product?
Squadcast helped my team to get our alert fatigue state under control. Moving from email-based alerting to Squadcast was huge jump for us .
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting functionalities can be improved and adding Service related FAQ's links or run-books are missing

Great Incident Management

What do you like best about the product?
We're able to centralice all Incidences in one single application and it was really easy to implement and integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to find what we're looking for. Better ordering in tables and search-elements would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one place for all incidents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the free verison. It's just Limited in the amount.

What do you like best about the product?
Clean escalation of issues by default (non) actions makes my world much better
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to customize the report format, and make it suitable for customer notices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Informing appropriate staff of issues, telling customers that we are supporting them actively, and how. I was able to provide a new customer-oriented service with this tool.

Decent experience while using squadcast for Incident management

What do you like best about the product?
summary report for incidents. Good UI for mobile and web platforms. Alerting mechanism hierarchy.
Ability to group into squads and escalation policies.
Best being scheduling mechanism and integrations support(especially of slack).
The analytics page is decent too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not able to silence the similar issues after acknowledging the first of such type.
less analytics charts.

May be after each time - an incident is resolved, feedback and ways the incident is resolved can be collected.
and the same could be shown next time when a similar incident appears.
Of course, this is the organization's proprietary data, Hence security must be taken into consideration.
This enables the newer users of squadcast to know the history of similar incident types and the ways taken to resolve the problem.

Analytics UI may be improved to show the types of incidents and other statistics on a decent timeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business production alerts. Ability to handle peak times in productions and exceptions at run time and performance throttling.
We are able to find and fix bottlenecks in the delivered product even before the customer notices it. Thanks to Squadcast for its alerting mechanism.

Great option for paging and incident management

What do you like best about the product?
We've found it to be very reliable and like the ability to customise lot of our alerting setup with the help of suppression and tagging rules etc. Escalation policies and schedules are great to complement this which makes managing alerts across teams much easier.

The product was easy to get started with and onboard with due to the user-friendly UI, and contains a large set of integrations that seems to always be growing. From the moment I got started, Renuka was extremely helpful in assisting with any questions and solving any problems we had! Pricing also makes much more sense in comparison to alternatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some small features that would be useful (threaded Slack alerts, flexible notifications before schedule rotations starts) but overall the team are very responsive and are often releasing new updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting a regular on-call rotation that works for and scales with our organization, and ensuring that the relevant teams are notified in the correct manner.
