What do you dislike about the product?
UI looks but complicated at the beginning and the jargons used in the portal is different than other incident management tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Escalation policies and alerting integration with our monitoring solutions.
Solid Incident Notifier
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to define schedules and escalation policies on their free tier. Very easy to get started with the product to get a decent evaluation period before needing to pay. They also have some interesting features behind the paywall which I'm looking forward to using once we have the need to start paying.
What do you dislike about the product?
The iOS app doesn't seem to automatically refresh incidents page when you open it. Even if you click on an incident notification it seems to just open the app to where it last was, which could be a previous incident which has since been resolved. Misleading at worst and tedious at best.
We also do not get notified when approaching or hitting the limit of included sms and call notifications. A warning would be nice as the in app notifications are easy to miss.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting real-time notifications of incidents and escalating them when not acknowledged.
It's quite easy to get start and setup Squadcast.
What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to start setup on Squadcast, create the schedules and integrate with Datadog.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you have the schedules done was easy delete and alter the values than edit the existing ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us to scale incidents on non-working hours.
it is very useful for getting instant alert
What do you like best about the product?
I like in squad cast alerting part mostly. We have set all alerts and get prompts immediately as per our requirement.
It is very user-friendly. Easy to understand.

What do you dislike about the product?
Only one which we have observed. We are not able to acknowledge multiple alerts simultaneously in the mobile app. We are able to acknowledge one by one.

Great solution for managing on-call rotations
What do you like best about the product?
It simply works. Allows us to simply create relativly complex rotation scheagules and easily view who is on call right now. Support is very helpful and quick to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
no major complaints concerning the software. All complaints were delt with by their support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Get from service not working to IT specialist getting a alert to check it out.
Configurable tool to efficiently monitor your mailbox.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to configure the mails in terms of avoiding duplicates, suppressing the duplicate mails, tagging based on different categories, and setting up severity helps to better monitor your mailbox to clearly differentiate legit alerts from the false ones!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not come across anything that I find less useful with Squadcast, at the same time, there isn't anything that I feel a dislike for in Squadcast, if there's anything, then I will surely report to your support queue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the problem of filtering massive emails flowing into our mailbox, alerting for the critical ones and suppressing duplicate alerts. It saves us time being productive on legitimate signals and not missing critical ones.
Much cheaper than Pagerduty, some rough edges
What do you like best about the product?
The price is very reasonable for a small team. The app is pretty straightforward with a simple and clean UI. The alerting seems to work pretty well. The new schedules are much easier to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a couple times where alerts didn't come through. Support helped us out though. Some of the views aren't readily apparent, like the new calendar doesn't default to showing the overrides right the same way I'd expect from Pagerduty. The setup could use some work to guide you how to get everything running. I also miss the multiple levels of alerts that were easy to set up in Pagerduty (like "these alerts ring phones, these alerts can wait until the morning").
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure our service is always running and that we know who to look to when something goes down. It's very nice for setting up an on call schedule and rotation.
Squadcast has been a game changer in terms of streamlining incident management
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of handling alerts.
Deduplication feature greatly helps reduce the noise of alerts.
Collaboration with the rest of the team on discussions pertaining to the incident.

What do you dislike about the product?
UI needs improvement.
Incident related email notifications can be improved.
It would be really nice if the unread notes and postmortems can be alerted from the Squadcast UI itself instead of relying on emails.

It would be really nice if the unread notes and postmortems can be alerted from the Squadcast UI itself instead of relying on emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Squadcast has been instrumental in helping us reduce the noise of alerts we had been getting mainly with the deduplication feature it provides. It greatly reduced the overhead of going over every single alert for us.
Really good experience for issue reporting

The ability to send different types of notifications, and the integrations that can be done with it, such as slack integrations which allow you to interact with the application.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's really complete application, Not much negative things to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets you follow the alerts letting you know what's the progress and possible resolution for them, allowing to track with tickets whatever comes up in it. It improves the incident management.
