An Unmatched Tool for Marketing and Prospecting

  • August 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ZoomInfo provides the absolute best list-building and prospecting tool known to man (or beast). They have really figured out a system of grabbing people's contact information that is incredibly accurate. We have 95% accuracy when it comes to email deliverability. The system is so good sometimes that people will be completely confused, fascinated, or angry that we got their personal number... but as we all know that is a common hazard of list-building.

ZoomInfo provides a full suite of tools and integrates with our CRM and has a browser addon that allows it to interface with LinkedIn Sales Navigator help us keep our contacts straight across all of our prospecting platforms. It's easy to learn and use and only has a couple small bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only have a few relatively insignificant gripes with ZoomInfo:
• There is a strange glitch where some companies with an “apostrophe s,” for instance, the company “Love’s” will show up as “Love” in the search results. On some records the rest of the name after the “‘s“ will simply not be there. The search function will still find the company if you use the “‘s” and it will still export into a spreadsheet with the “‘s” so it’s not too big of a deal… but it does cause confusion and I hope it gets fixed.
• Headquarters for large international companies headquartered outside the US will sometimes show their US HQ address instead of their main HQ. For instance, IHG (InterContinental Hotel Group) is listed as being headquartered in Georgia (which is its US HQ) but it’s central HQ is in the UK. This may be intentional but for my use cases it is not a good thing since our sales territories depend heavily on HQ locations. In a large list of new companies & contacts this can cause wrong sales assignments.
• There are some contacts that have neither a direct phone or an email address so you have to make sure to specifically filter for contact with phones and emails. I have exported a couple hundred of these and used credits before realizing this was a thing that could happen. I don’t understand the point of having these in the database, but maybe it is useful info for someone else's purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ZoomInfo gives us the ability to build marketing email blast campaign lists, create call-down lists for prospecting, allows us to fill in missing information on people we already have, appends data in our CRM, integrates with LinkedIn Sales Navigator. It even shows us the technologies a company has in place

It is a one stop shop for contact and company information and I look forward to seeing what new features and functionalities will come out of the DiscoverOrg and ZoomInfo merger.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stop looking for another list-building tool and buy ZoomInfo now.

Inside Sales

  • August 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The search functionality in ZoomInfo is extremely useful when targeting enterprise organizations where you are looking for very specific job titles. I don't waste time looking through "everyone". The fact that I can then click a button and see their Linkedin profile is time saving and the even bigger time saver is I can click a button and add the contact and all their information directly into SalesForce. That's huge!!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times where ZoomInfo does not find a company profile because they have a different naming convention and it may take a couple of attempts to match up to how a company appears in ZoomInfo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can get to the right people, specific people very quickly. ZoomInfo for me saves alot of time, reduces the time for searching and reduces the time for adding people into SalesForce.

It has helped greatly in finding leads and closing deals

An excellent tool for the prospecting toolkit

  • August 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A very extensive database of names, emails, contact numbers (both office lines and cell phones), company profile data (revenue + # of employees), and market intel (i.e. latest company news via links to relevant news stories).
What do you dislike about the product?
The database can be out-of-date; it's necessary to verify through use of LinkedIn whether or not the database is accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm gaining massive outreach because I am able to compile viable prospect lists with names and contact info.

Critical tool to jump-start new sales teams

  • August 20, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DiscO has essential contacts required to understand both account-based marketing and general understanding of what a local team needs to focus on. Its critical in jump-starting a region to see what prospects are there at the top of the funnel, how to tailor information for that team, and how to create the right content to market in the area to get them going quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to bookmark advanced searches is surprising and a pretty big pain in the ass. Such a simple thing that would make it easy to get the lists created shared among the team on say Slack or other IM clients (or email).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding the right types of businesses in regions with sales coverage. Its almost impossible to understand technology profiles of companies in-region without DiscO
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool for filtering prospects in a new region as well as doing account-based marketing. Its not the ideal tool for finding people within an organization connected to your contacts.

2019 Best In-Class Award Goes to: DiscoverOrg

  • August 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have built out territory plans based on the intel found within DiscoverOrg. I love having millions of contacts at the push of a button, either on my laptop, phone, or tablet. It's everywhere I need to be!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the contacts/positions aren't always the most up to date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can find a lot of intel in seconds about a geographical area. What kind of businesses, annual reported revenue, in addition to the technology they are currently running in their environment. Not to mention, they have a few folks on staff that can teach your staff how to use the tool in ways they never imagined.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best solution available, hands down! It is truly a one-stop shop for prospecting into the US and Canada!!!
