What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to use, pretty good marketing contacts and other titles like COO and CEO. I like how easy it is to get contacts and accounts into Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
Revenues can be off, especially in the food industry with chain restaurants. Even though I reach out to all the opp alerts for customer and employee experience I've never anyone respond to call or emails so I wonder if people are actually searching for CX and EX technology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to get contacts and accounts into Salesforce with just a few clicks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product and should definitely be a part of the Account Development and Sales Team's toolset.

What do you like best about the product?
DiscoverOrg works perfectly for our organization by providing up to date contact information in all verticals and departments. The customer service representatives are helpful and prompt. They also have Scoops news that allows you to stay informed about each of the companies that you are targeting in your search.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say that I dislike much of DiscoverOrg.
I hope that they bring in more automation, so that we can generate lists quicker and with ease.

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive and I can grab the data I need very quickly. Exports fast as well. There is a lot of ways you can build and filter your lists which is super helpful. Knowing which technology a company uses is a huge asset also.
What do you dislike about the product?
A better dataset outside of the US would be great. Specifically LATAM and APAC. EMEA is tough because of GPDR

Data quality is top notch, and the Chrome Extension for LinkedIn is great

Org charts, Responsibility Matrices and Financials are all weak.

Uncovering new pockets of buyers and finding accounts using competitive solutions in order to make identifying new leads and respective decision makers faster

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface and intuitive use. Tie in to Eloqua is nice. Quick access to LinkedIn profiles directly from DiscoverOrg. The options of fields when exporting a report to excel is very granular, this enhances filtering abilities and the details of a report. The speed of searches and report building.
What do you dislike about the product?
View-able data can be limited based on licenses. Scheduled reports should have option to show newly added data compared to last report. I have a limited territory and I could not find a way to keep my dashboard alerts limited to specific states. I don't want to see news about companies that I am not following or that are not in my territory. We have SalesForce lightning, but our security policy prohibits us from taking advantage of the full integration between DiscoverOrg and SalesForce. A tie in with outlook for notifications or alerts when a followed prospect responds or reaches out would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Locating accurate contacts for marketing campaigns. Learning the Hierarchy of an organization. Understanding recent news reports related to the company. Understanding the details of a business before we sell to them. Helps us to better understand what our Industry knowledge gaps. Keeping our CRM data accurate with new and existing leads and contacts. Knowing when an individual leaves or joins the company

Buy the full license unless you only need company data for those that have 1000 employees or more

That all info is available in one place and can been synced with SalesForce which makes life easier !

That we do not have enough direct desk number or mobile numbers for the leads. The general numbers don't help much :(.

This is definitely a good tool to generate leads, get the latest scoops and run our campaigns. It definitely saves time in generating leads for your respective segment. Since we work in the small to medium segment, and the fact that IT sales cycles are long, we don't seem to see the satisfaction of closing a deal, but if you remind yourself this tool is only for generating a lead, then you know its worthwhile.
Why I would recommend DiscoverOrg
What do you like best about the product?
I find that after using multiple platforms for doing customer and account research that DiscoverOrg is a wonderful resource. DO is saving me lots of time figuring out if the company is a fit for my company to work with currently as it provides us with reliable data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one set back is the way our account is set up - some of the companies I do research on aren't available due to locked data. DO is also quite expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my usage, solving the problem of having to cold call a company, asking questions about size, the number of employees etc. is resolved. They have a team of folks verifying the information so I don't have to.

Make sure you know the Account Industries you are trying to reach and the starting point of revenue of companies you need to reach.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool does a great job at helping sales and marketing professionals obtain contact information and get an idea of recent company initiatives. This allows you to do targeted business development will stronger messaging, resulting in more meetings, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout of saving searches and being able to go back and pick up where you left off is a bit difficult. I also run across bad data from time to time, emails get kicked, back, wrong phone numbers, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small company, the process of being able to quickly and effectively craft a targeted message that translates into a meeting is crucial. This helps solve that problem.

If you are looking for a product that will help sales and marketing teams do targeted business development, this products meets those requirements well.
Reliable with a well-equipped team but comes with a price
What do you like best about the product?
Great account success manager, a robust research team, and easy to use. Usually, if we find any problems we reach out to assigned Customer Success Manager (Sierra) and we get answers right away. In addition, I usually get a reponse from my Research Requests (if you want an organization chart for companies or even info on a specific person, they do it!) within the week. Either way, we're confident in the service they toot!
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is a bit steep for companies starting out, now with the purchase of ZoomInfo and similar companies, this might be the new standard. They have two databases - Research Verified and Technology Data Generated - which are completely separate which makes aggregating information take twice as long. In addition, companies must buy data subsets (we have 2) and it's four times the price of what we paid before. Integration would have been great for our company, but fields aren't completely editable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're looking for reliable contacts to connect with and DiscoverOrg has really ensured that we have clean data. We also think it's amazing to be able to reverse search contacts and companies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you vet ALL of the potential subsets, engage with your Customer Service Manager (as I'm sure there are more tools I'm unaware of), before purchasing making sure your Sales person don't only give you the organization charts of the BIG BOYS. We got pretty good charts from Fortune 500 companies but smaller companies ... moot. Beware!

What do you like best about the product?
I am always looking for concise and accurate contact information. ZoomInfo goes above and beyond, reaching deep into prospects.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the addition of DiscoveryOrg my dislike I assume will soon become a positive but the lack of company information is something that is missed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem I am solving is finding a diverse group of contacts within an organization to call into. The benefit is that ZoomInfo provides me with not only IT contacts, but contacts throughout all departments.
