I think this is a useful product, but I don't necessarily trust all of its information.
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the integration into SalesForce, which allows me to pull new and updated contact information very easily. There is also a feature (ReachOut) that allows you to pull this info from LinkedIn. While helpful, it takes a few months of someone being at a job to get them updated in the ZI system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the information is lacking from an accuracy standpoint, and I end up using LinkedIn to get the job done. I have also had functionality issues with the platform. There are certain functions that have worked for teammates, but not for myself. This makes it hard to fully utilize the platform in the way that I am supposed to. I have also had issues figuring out how to use all of the features, so some training would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the issue of having to manually update SalesForce. In this, it has saved me a ton of time. It also allows me to view company hierarchies vey easily. This lets you know who you are targeting, and how they fit within an organization. For sales, this is a useful way to work around contacts who are not friendly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this as a resource, but not the ultimate source of truth for all of your information. I find the information helpful, but it doesn't contain everything I need and it would be better used as a supplementary tool to another more robust platform.
Easy to learn tool with simple and inituitive interface
What do you like best about the product?
Vast amounts of information, very easy to find contacts at target accounts to build prospecting lists. It was also very easy to build lists and save for future reference and the filtering options were very granular, especially around technologies currently being leveraged at target accounts. Being able to filter by states, verticals, company size and other options allow very targeted outreach campaigns to be effectively created for sales purposes. In our case we have a well defined "sweet spot" in the market when it comes to company size and IT roles so using ZoomInfo allows us to better target potential customers who fit that profile.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really much to dislike, if you're targeting SMB's you may not always find their info on ZoomInfo but for midsize and above this is a great tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to correctly identify targets for the sales organization. Using ZoomInfo has greatly reduced the amount of time needed to find contact info and decision makers. It's also proved very helpful to identify companies using technologies that align with our own and are therefore good targets for prospecting. ZoomInfo has become a critical part of the sales team's processes and day to day activities as our central resource and final authority.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you receive some training and are familiar with all the features available, this is a tool that provides wide-ranging functionality and it's well worth taking a bit of time to learn the tool and maximizing the benefit you can receive from the solution.
DiscoverOrg for Enterprise Software Sales
What do you like best about the product?
DO is a great one-stop-shop to get as much info as possible for an individual prospect.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Org Charts are a bit messy, and disorganized. Although they provide a good "start" in mapping out an organization, they no way reflect an accurate org chart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting a one-stop-shop for key targets within an account (email, phone, who they report to, LinkedIn page, twitter page, etc.)
Great Sourcing Tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is fairly easy to use and navigate. It provides a lot of insights into a company including contacts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the contacts won't be correct or won't be working there
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sourcing and procurement mainly. There have been many benefits to this service. yes it can be improved but currently IMO this is one of the top 3 services out there for sourcing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a solid tool to use for sourcing
Why I really like ZoomInfo for Business Development research.
What do you like best about the product?
The accuracy of the data and the ease with which I can create teaches and save them. The drill-down abilities and the filters are also very insightful and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the fact that it is limited in the number of integrations at this time...I realize it will be better in the future but I need it now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to update our prospect files with more-current info and make better use of our sales processes. We can also better focus our efforts geographically within a given market.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Now that they are part of DiscoverOrg, the product will continue to improve and add features such as the org chart, etc... This will add even more value to the mix!
Has Helped my Cold Call Numbers Tremendously
What do you like best about the product?
I've seen a return on utilizing ZoomInfo after only 2 months of using it. It's a great tool to understand the structure of different organizations. Small and large, I get 85% of the correct information I need. There are a number of tools to export contacts, be organized, and gain company insight. I LOVE the LinkedIn concept/feature.. I'm not sure if it's been rolled out yet or not but I'd really like to use it if so.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, some contact's info can be incorrect or not up to date. Hard to export data the way I'd like/would be most efficient for me. Because you have to pay for the additional features, I don't use them and I think it makes me use the platform less. If I had access to all features then that would work better for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If there are direct lines, this allows me to call those who I was previously unable to get a hold of. I'm working with new clients and need all information from phone to email format
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a go! It's great even to just supplement what you are currently using/doing. The features they plan to roll out will only make the platform more desirable
Great Tool, find your own leads!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to search for one specific company or person along with the opportunity to pull full lists for email marketing or call lists. Even if you can’t find the person your found on LinkedIn you can at least use the data from other contacts to infer an email address.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you leave the page open and naviagate away and then come back and go to search it will give a red line through the search bar and you have to refresh the page. Also some contacts have "assumed contact info" which isn't always accurate. The general search bar occasionally won’t give you the results you know are available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building marketing lists, it gives a lot more insight into company information such as financials. It lets us specify targets by annual revenue as well as certain technology products used
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool and easy to use
Fantastic data source, needs better integration with SFDC
What do you like best about the product?
My users report that the data is highly accurate (more accurate than Hoovers, even though the number of contacts is lower). Also, customer support is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SFDC integration. Depending on whether you use the native application or the browser, the behavior is different. Depending on whether you use bulk upload or individual, the behavior is different. I've had lots of issues with mapping, specifically around Country/State. Also, I would argue about some of their "industry" classifications- these need to be more robust. I've found Hoovers to be more accurate in this regard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to view a company's org chart has been invaluable to us and has really helped us to map an account.
Commercial Business Development

What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally the information is incorrect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the information to set new business meetings. It's nice to have all the information in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
become familiar with the different capabilities.
