Detailed and organized
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the scoops and the organization charts. A lot of extra info and internal insights that I don't see with other software. Especially pain points. Also like the information about technology used by the customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site can really drag if you have too many windows open at once. Freezes up my browser. Definitely prefer the main site to the Sales Force tab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of new and interesting information. Really helps with trying to find the exact reason to reach out to a client and see their pain points to tailor the calls to the client before speaking to them.

Easy to identify targets contacts. It is easy to import into CRM

In some cases, Discover Org is not up to date, but this is getting better every day.

Finding The Right Person
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite tool is being able to ad contacts straight from the Chrome extension when I am on a potential clients website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Contacts are hard to come by but there is a "fix it" tool that allows my team to request the contacts that are needed

Less time prospecting more time calling.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can build a targeted list with companies most similar to those you've worked with. Scoops are great as well. The Chrome extension is great. Our rep is always willing to offer advice or training.

The info is sometimes dated, but not nearly as common as other platforms

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Discover Org has a detailed report on the accounts that I am prospecting into. I get valuable information on things to talk about, who to talk about, and how to contact them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that many smaller companies aren't in Discover Org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to quickly find out who to contact, and what their org charts look like. This opens up my prospect to more people than I would normally have.

I reccomend using this product to find who to prospect at a company, and what technologies they are using

I love the tools available to me through DiscoverOrg (e.g., Tellwise and research) and the relationship I have with my customer success manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data is a bit stale and many contacts are missing for target companies. Waiting for research is not favorable.

Inviting target companies/contacts for training events that develop into strong leads.

What do you like best about the product?
The transparency DiscoverOrg offers into the organizations we're speaking with is vital to our team's success. We're able to not only receive contact information but establish the hierarchy and get an insight into what matters to them via Scoops and OpAlerts. This helps to make our outreach personable and actionable.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the information is usually accurate, there can be some issues getting phone numbers precisely correct. That being said, the team at DO is always happy to research and correct any incorrect or outdated info very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much as I mentioned above, DO helps us refine our outreach. This saves us from sending well crafted and researched content to half guessed email addresses, rendering the effort we put in entirely useless. I spend far less time on hold, navigating archaic phone trees only to leave a voicemail. It's a godsend.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend investing the time and effort with the implementation team to establish your knowledge base and fully implement the product to it's fullest potential. The information I gleaned from proceeding through the full breadth of the training was invaluable, and it allowed me to use the platform to uncover accurate, actionable, and insightful information that enabled me to provide maximum value to my team. You only get as much out of any tool as you put in, and your time investment with DO will be richly rewarded with better outreach, more insightful discussions with your prospects, more meetings, and more revenue.
Valuable prospecting tool to grow your organization
What do you like best about the product?
DiscoverOrg has a large database, usually with multiple contacts per organization - even the little ones.
It's simple to use and navigate to get the information you require.
The search function makes it incredibly easy to drill down to the most relevant information.
I work within only half of a state, and my territory is dictated by county. The advanced search function allows me to search for contacts only within that portion of the state, making my life significantly easier.

Sometimes, the information is out of date or large organizations sometimes have crucial contacts blacked out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every sales organization needs a dependable way to generate a list of prospects, DiscoverOrg offers exactly that. Pulling excel lists with the relevant contact information makes it simpler for reps to start dialing!

My experience with DiscoverOrg is only within the North American market. Do some research into their database and information available for the market you're wanting to use the tool within.

What do you like best about the product?
You can run really granular searches in different industries, that really comes in handy when you are prospecting. The information about the customer is always up to date. The can distinguish between B2B and B2C companies, which is huge if you are prospecting B2B companies, it takes away all the unnecessary companies and just streamlines your prospecting process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Org charts are not always clear which makes it hard to prospect. When it comes to small and medium-size companies they sometimes don't have a lot of information. Sometimes they have the prospect's personal number on the contact information, which just creeps out some prospects when you follow up with them. I hope they improve their integration with Salesforce to the point where you can see if the lead is in Salesforce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have a lot of bounce emails with the prospecting tool that we used before switching to Discoverorg, but Discoverorg really fixed that issue for us. It saved a lot of prospecting time because now we have a clear idea who the right prospects are through Discoverorg. We used to have a lot of duplicate records being created, but Discoverorg really solved that problem by its integration with Salesforce.

Definitely the best prospecting tool out there

I prospect at my job. I couldn’t do it as efficiently without discoverorg. It cuts my process time in half. Easy integration with salesforce is by far the best feature.

I wish it had more contact information.
