Using DiscoverOrg in a lead development role
What do you like best about the product?
Great information on companies such as budgets and company org structure. Great contact info for individuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there were more contacts. I sometimes struggle to find the people I am trying to research and have to use other sources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lead research would be much harder without DiscoverOrg. It makes my job easier by giving me most of the info I need in a centralized location.
DiscoverOrg has helped me find key prospects not in our Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to navigate. I also like how you can subscribe for weekly reports to be sent to your email around things going on at your top accounts. It's very easy to export an excel sheet with the info you need, which makes it easy to load into Outreach and thus start email campaigns. It's also great to see levels of seniority.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how a lot of things I need to see are locked. I suppose that is a matter of the subscription my company purchased. I would also like if we had some formal training on DiscoverOrg when I first started. I learned a lot of it on the fly (before going to become DiscoverOrg certified earlier this year).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an inside sales rep at a fast growing start up, my region is always changing. I've made my way across the United States, so being able to quickly leverage DiscoverOrg as a tool to research and find key contacts/accounts (in conjunction with LinkedIn) has been very helpful. I've also found it helpful to start my week by reading through the email that is sent to me updating me about what's been going on at my top companies I marked. Helps my week get going with some current prospecting.

What do you like best about the product?
The lay out, it's so easy to use and read. Typing someone's name and having their whole profile pop up. Being able to import a contact into salesforce. The additional information it uploads.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it would just tell ne someone s not in the data base instead of showing others
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me time by being able to upload, I can look for additional phone number.
Great tool fro prospecting
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to send contacts straight into the CRM. The data is valuable and that really helps keep our CRM clean. I do like the request research button as well. although, I was not made aware of it until we received more formal training from a CSM. This is the first time that I have wokredi nan org where a CSM was so willing to show new tools and really.
What do you dislike about the product?
We work in a commercial/mid-market space and some companies are not in the database. However, we have the ability to send requests too. Thethe small widget that runs on the website is also sometimes hard to pull up because it will not appear on the main screen until you reach the very bottom of the page. I know that the projects is expanding and I am excited to see whats next.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dirty (invalid) data in Salesforce. We have been around for about 5 years and have yet to get a SFDC admin that can monitor our data but Discover helps keep us up to date. Being in outbound sales, you have to be able to call upon the right be people and be able to know the people in the org who are relevant to what you offer. Nothing is more frustrating than pulling up a directory but not having the correct extension to dial. Discover actually provides the extension when you upload the contact info into the CRM. THAT IS AMAZING

Ease of use, great filters/insights and easy integration with SF.
What do you dislike about the product?
Less overall contacts than ZoomInfo. For instance, Adobe had less than 300 leads in my scope.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much more outreach thanks to mass upload capabilities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out, if you are not worried about specific contacts and would rather pull down a big list more easily this is a great tool.

I love how easy it is to look up a company and the integration with salesforce makes my life and my job so much more efficient

It's a bummer that for the most part, only big companies are in the database. I know it is more difficult with fewer employees or newer companies, but those are the majority of the clients I am looking for

I need to make a lot of outreaches to various clients to see if they would like to join our platform, it is mostly over email so because able to have a company in find and find contacts in discoverorg is great

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to segment and refine and make a list of a few hundred accounts or a few thousand leads that is hyper targeted and gets real engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use very little of the tools available, we know we are paying for many bells and whistles but we don't use 90% of it so I wish I could pay for a less robust platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are generating leads and generating conversations with the right customers The benefits are that we get top quality leads out the gate and don't waste time tracking down sub par leads.
Quick to use
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it ties into our Salesforce CRM, we can act quickly on leads that are accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our license is only for the IT field, I wish our company had a paid subscription for all departments.

Finding relevant, accurate leads quickly and easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would make sure your are correctly set up on the backside of things before you go live. It was a paid having to export list and upload them into our CRM. Now that we have our plugins working it is seamless.

I love that I can search for companies and similar companies to those companies and then upload the leads from there to Salesforce. It is really helpful, not sure what I would do otherwise.

The data is not always completely up to date. It is usually good enough to get by.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefit is company research and building a database with cold leads. For an account executive on a team that does cold prospecting it is highly useful.
