DiscoverOrg - Great Tool for Enterprise Hunters and Prospectors

What do you like best about the product?
DiscoverOrg gives you around a dozen company and employee metrics with which to filter your search, which enables you to keep your contact search as broad or as focused as you want. Whether you want Marketing contacts at 50-person companies, or CIO's at fortune 100 companies, there's a good chance DO will have some relevant data to fuel your prospecting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is a bit clunky and difficult to navigate at first, and it seems that they have focused most of their data collection on large enterprise companies, so if you are looking for SMB contacts, you may be a bit disappointed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use DO to find contact info for sales prospecting. Our marketing efforts have been fairly ineffective, so sales representatives and LDR (Lead Development Reps) have to do our own prospecting and find our own leads to make up for the lack of inbound prospects. We leverage Discover Org to compile lists of IT contacts in the verticals we've had the most success with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before you buy, you should get a product demo from DiscoverOrg. I recommend you bring data from a few recent completed sales OR names of accounts you'd like to prospect into and haven't gained any traction. Ask the DO Sales Rep to pull up those accounts, and see if it provides accurate contact data for deals you've recently closed, or gives you additional data for companies you're trying to prospect in to.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoominfo can be used in a variety of ways; gathering additional contacts for a company, finding direct phone numbers for decision makers, or even exploring other organizations by GEO, company size, or function. Zoominfo makes it simple to easily find and contact the correct contact you're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the information is outdated due to gathering the information via scraping email signatures on the freemium plan - at times, this can be a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned above, Zoominfo reduces time in finding decision makers & finding contact information simply with a name. That itself is the benefit.

Test it out - you'll find it works pretty well

What do you like best about the product?
Direct numbers! And how user friendly it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wrong, missing information & copy & paste can be difficult sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of prospect info. Direct numbers have made all the difference in number of meetings booked for us.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is an intuitive platform to use; data quality is high. Another selling point for me has been their consistently excellent customer support. They are responsive, personable, knowledgable, and always willing to do right by their customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would hardly call this a 'dislike', but one value add for me would be if their platform could start natively including technology signals in their datasets. But, even this is something they have started working on recently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High match rates particularly on North American businesses which include accurate direct email and phone numbers. Our SDR team also loves using the prospecting platform as it's easy to use and provides comprehensive data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely do a data 'bakeoff' with them and any competitors you are considering. Zoom has beaten competition on match rates and email/phone accuracy for each of the last 2 companies I have worked for that evaluated them.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how much detail there is when you export the data. He Industry information can really help us to get to the right people in a particular industry. Also the ease of use when doing searches is very good. Not have to type in every single type of title but instead having them grouped together by vertical if you will helps us to get all of the right people.
What do you dislike about the product?
How many credits it takes to get a list downloaded and the fact that you can only choose a 10 or 25 miles radius. It would be nice to have a smaller radius to choose from. In the past you had an option to look at the competitors of a particular company. I haven't been able to find that in this version and I am hopeful you can bring it back because that was very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to grow our database of information and users and it helps us to keep track of changes in the upper levels of our clients. This tool also gives us insight into other areas and marketplaces by seeing how many of the types of people we sell to can be found in a geographic area.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zoominfo is a great product to use for big picture searches and for touching a lot of people at one time. You will need to sig into the functionality more to really utilize it to it's fullest potential.

I've tried other search tools, and was just not impressed. Zoominfo is the most comprehensive contact solution.

not being able to look up a contact directly from google search

obtaining correct contact information such as email and direct line, for streamlined prospecting

What do you like best about the product?
ZoomInfo is a great resource for direct dials...it changed the way that our Inside Sales operated....it is now a staple of our sales process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, honestly we are very satisfied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to reach a lot of decision makers, noticed an immediate increase in quality appointments set....it has been well worth the investment.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using ZoomInfo for 5 years now. Overall, the best aspect of Zoom is the accuracy of information and the ability to be able to navigate and find contacts quickly and efficiently. It is very helpful to be able to search and sort by industry and ZoomInfo has some of the best and most accurate categories.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue I have with ZoomInfo is the process for downloading a list. It is not as intuitive as I would expect to be able to find the contacts I've saved after I've saved them. For one off searches, Zoom is a breeze, but when building a large list, the list can be challenging to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an Account Executive, I'm constantly searching for contact information for potential clients. ZoomInfo allows for me to find all the information I could need, in one place, 90% of the time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
More valuable and more effective than any other contact information platforms I've seen.
