Helpful, but not the best

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-They have a decent amount of direct contact information available for prospects.

-Org charts and lists of tech used by companies you’re looking into.
What do you dislike about the product?
-The whole interface is clunky and slow. It pretty much does everything that I did in Zoominfo, but worse.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding prospects to fill my pipeline

DiscoverOrg Review

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Not a bad GUI. Other than that, I have no positive comments to say about my experience with DiscoverOrg. Everything from the product, the support to the sales person has been a horrible and expensive experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bad data. Unethical licensing. Bait and switch. Ex) They merged with RainKing, yet they won't include the RK contacts without paying extra for the license you already have. It's not RK anymore, it's DiscoverOrg, we'd like the data we are paying for.

Does not integrate well with Salesforce. Has caused lots of issues with our lead routing. We had to turn off features to import international leads, which caused issues in SFDC.

A significant portion of the data is WRONG. They want customers to notify each time data is wrong, although there is not enough time in day. Take some of the money you've stolen from us and hire people to make sure you're data is correct. It's not your customers' job to fix your garbage data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has caused more problems than it has solved. I've been very vocal with my peers on why they should not use DiscoverOrg.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not waste your time and money to get locked in with an unethical company with bad data. There are many other much more cost efficient tools that actually have good data and support.

What do you like best about the product?
Advanced Search tool was very useful for breaking down my categories as I was sales prospecting. The scoops features were very effective in getting me cutting edge news on Potential pain points companies are experiencing.
What do you dislike about the product?
licencing to specific roles sometimes made it difficult to find who I was looking for
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prospecting has been much easier, and fining people specific to the industry I am searching. Good cross reference with Linked In
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your company pushes heavily on Cold calling and business development, this is the correct product

Positive experience for detailed contact information

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That the data is updated constantly. I also like the recently departed employee tab that helps me verify information.
What do you dislike about the product?
That we have access to certain sectors only (i.e., information technology only). C suite and Marketing are separate and you have to pay additional to access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Research on potential leads, creating marketing lists for our sales people based on certain criteria. Benefits include zeroing in on the right contacts and being able to customize any of the marketing lists that I create.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool for generating leads, creating marketing lists

Easy way to associate contacts with accounts

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that when a contact is in the Org Chart, it's super easy to import into the account on SFDC
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of times the Org Charts are not updated. The company revenues are frequently incorrect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us decide which tier an account is (mid market, enterprise, etc). it also helps us import contacts to build out accounts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it to build out accounts with contacts and other important information (HQ, phone, etc).

DiscoverOrg for a startup

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can search by keywords, create lists, upload to my CRM, get updates on Scoops (formerly Triggers) all with a minimum of effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not really a fault of the system but it's easy to get locked out of content - it just means you have to purchase the "right" to the content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need leads. I need to create email lists for invites, mailers, etc. I also need to be aware of changes taking place at the target accounts I have. DiscoverOrg does this beautifully and unobtrusively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you understand your target markets and get the package you need (for example, if you don't talk to legal - no need to buy the legal contacts for a company)

Contact Accuracy

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DiscoverOrg is by far the best contact tool that I've used. I've found the accuracy to be very consistent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the contacts do not have email addresses listed. Another area that can be improved is access to all companies. I've found that not all organizations are listed and some are locked. I've found no rhyme or reason as to which companies are locked and which are not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving prospecting problems with DIscoverOrg. Before we had to rely on on platforms that were not reliable and then attempt to decipher a prospects email address which was time consuming. The benefits we've realized are increasing our prospecting productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you tell your rep the companies / industries you're targeting before you purchase.

DiscoverOrg review

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Contacts are readily available. The accuracy of phone numbers and email addresses.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of times companies won't be listed, or contacts that have not yet been updated into discoverorg. Not an easy way to migrate contacts to Salesforce and other CRMs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The accessibility to reach my leads using it as a tool is that best benefit I have seen so far.

SaaS using DiscoverOrg

  • August 16, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The access to emails and phone numbers of key c-level contacts. This tool has more accurate contact info than any i've seen.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many missing contacts. Using tools like navigator I can do a boolean search and find exact persona's I want. This is a bit harder with disco.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contacts form key decision makers. Semi relative org charts.
