DiscoverOrg for a Student Intern

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The organizational charts make it extremely easy to visualize the flow of decision making within an organization I'm looking in to.

I also really enjoy leveraging scoops to find companies working on relevant projects and intiatives for us to then reach out to them about.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be difficult figuring out all the synching and integration between DiscoverOrg and Salesforce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use DiscoverOrg primarily for generating targetted leads for our marketing campaigns.

We have also started using it to better understand the industry landscape and the types of companies that are active in such landscapes.

Great for sourcing

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily and quickly search through any company in any region. Finding leads with any title is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think 100% of a companies contacts are in the database. Sometimes I find more people on LinkedIn instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding outbound leads that I would not have known about with DiscoverOrg. Finding people on DiscoverOrg leads to more sales meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool to get more meetings!

Effective prospecting tool, but lacks update

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the massive database of companies and their employees for prospecting leads. Their organization methods, scoops, and listmatch functions are all also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many companies are verrrrry outdated. Just yesterday I found a lead within DiscoverOrg that had left the company 8 years ago. It makes me concerned how many emails I've sent that are hitting dead inboxes of long-gone employees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding lead information, particularly email and phone number.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a large work in progress, but is a worthwhile expenditure for sales and marketing.

Great sales and marketing tool, if you can afford it

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-The intelligence you get on companies and people is second to none. I don't think I've had any issues with data accuracy so far.
-Tools like AccountView and DealPredict give you even more insights on your best accounts, and is even useful for customer account management.
What do you dislike about the product?
-It's expensive, and they don't make it cheap to add new users or new datasets.
-Not every company or employee is in their database, so you have to submit research requests to get that information (which take a long time).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using DiscoverOrg to find contact information for our top accounts, and get valuable information we use for prospecting. It also helps our customer account managers to look for opportunities to upsell or further penetrate accounts.

Daily alerts on account scoops, triggers, and updates are key to my messaging.

What do you like best about the product?
DiscoverOrg keeps me up to date by sending updates, scoops, triggers, and personnel moves within my territory/named accounts. This information helps me formulate message and the prospecting strategy with good data and buying signals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not every tool is perfect but more contact information would be nice within my targeted prospects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DiscoverOrg helps us identify accounts where our solution can help. With this information we can prioritize and customize messaging for that buying center.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Most of what we learned was self-taught. For early and quick adoption make sure everyone knows the depth of DiscoverOrg.

DiscoverOrg - a phenomenal tool for contact sourcing and information on current tech stack

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I am able to find email addresses, phone #'s and org charts for companies to map out who to target and have info at hand to reach them. I also like uploading leads from D'Org into SFDC and discovering more information around the tech deployed at prospect companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of any dislikes at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the problem of not knowing who to reach out to, how to reach out to them and what competition we're going up against. Also at a glance determining if the account is large enough to be worked by our Enterprise or SMB inside sales teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely take a look if you are prospecting whatsoever! An amazing product.

What do you like best about the product?
Great tool; very helpful for getting actionable intel on a diverse set of companies. Also, Customer Success Managers are very knowledgeable, accessible, and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a bit high; because a lot of the features are offered piecemeal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration with HubSpot and Microsoft Outlook. Somewhat limited due to HS account type, but beneficial in slightly reducing time for CRM.

Best prospecting tool out there

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Love how it's comprehensive in the data provided. And if there is something that isn't accurate, you can tell them and they will fix it.
What do you dislike about the product?
They lock data behind different pay structure. For instance, if you're looking to target specific departments then you only get those people, not the whole company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use it to prospect outbound targets
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fully understand your target prospects before signing up.

Great company research and lead database product!

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Unmatched accuracy, quality and depth of filtering, speed of the product and generally snappy UI is superb for our SDR and sales team to stay up to date and build lists to run outreach programs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Coverage of the database can be better. Other vendors have more companies compared to DiscoverOrg
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to get in touch with the right people at the right companies to develop a solid enterprise pipeline of prospects.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to see the titles, names and responsibilities of the prospects I am researching. The org chart certainly helps with seeing where they fit in the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the purchase of RainKing there is a lot of locked fields now. There are a lot of profiles that say "actively researching their career"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for prospecting and for seeing what technologies a company has
