Deepgram's speech API is simple, state-of-art, and cheap
What do you like best about the product?
Deepgram's API has a lot less development startup compared to other competitive speech API's out there. It's straightforward to use, returns accurate and workable JSON results, and has many speech features for low prices, such as NER, automatic punctuation, and speaker diarization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deepgram's main weakness is the lack of community around it. Integrations for certain languages, even ones as popular as Python, sometimes are buggy. However, it seems like these issues are getting addressed and there are workarounds in most cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepgram's speech-to-text product transcribes audio clips into written text, which is the business need I need from them. Deepgram's sole focus on audio and language processing makes their products very streamlined, and I would see them as a go-to for any transcription or audio processing needs.

Is 100% precise when the quality of the audio is good but useless when the quality is not that good
What do you like best about the product?
The precision of the transcription of simple audios. I appreciated the features you can add to the transcription. The best thing is its precision with the punctuation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Is 100% precise when the quality of the audio is good but useless when the quality is not that good, and this is an important thing that would be awesome if it was improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I made a whatsapp bot that transcribes audios and im using deepgram with it. Is very useful for simple audios when only one person is talking but when there are more than one person talking it doesnt work that well unluckily

What do you like best about the product?
Its very easy to integrante and use in your application. The deepgram team provides support in a short time when requested.

What do you dislike about the product?
The precision for portuguese language is not so accurate as it is in english yet. I've tried to define some parameters to improve the result, but I didn't get the ideal return.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Deepgram for realtine audio tanscription and test in our application in few minutes.

What do you like best about the product?
Once you find the right documentation, it was easy to use. They also have videos on youtube with their developers explaining their product and ways you could use them which was also a great help.
What do you dislike about the product?
They only have sdk suport for Nodejs and Python for the server side of things. I do wish they'd consider providing for other popular backend languages like java.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepgram provides transcriptions to audio either via live streaming or recording. They provide different models that specialize in different setups, for example: phone calls or video conferences where multiple people might be speaking. Having these models allows fora more accurate diarization.
Deepgram has provided us with accurate transcriptions, beating other third parties we tested

The fact that we can change the model being used for transcription and also their parameters is very powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the dashboard logs showed more details about the transcript (maybe the whole transcript?) and also the URL of the audio file (if an URL was used).

Configuration is flexible on timing and breaks.

Without testing and modification, the initial setup is very aggressive and doesn't provide the best result.

Easy to use, team super available, recurrent updates with new promising features (like entity recognition)

Language détection was not available at the beginning but it is now: so I have to integrate this update;)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is using transcription in a podcast creation tool. Deepgram improved results compared to classic providers like GCP.
Product works well and is reasonably priced
What do you like best about the product?
Well-documented API and quick response times. Dashboard functions well and the service is super affordable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing offhand. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an STT service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transcription of voice communication. We've used it in a discord bot primarily aimed at Virtual TTRPG gamers for accessibility and note-taking. But that bot could also provide the same functions to anyone.
Amazed at the speed
What do you like best about the product?
I was very impressed with how quickly responses come. The API was easy to follow and I was able to test the application in 10 minutes. It was several times faster than other products i have tested.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not find that it had a WER that was as good in my application (medical conversations) that allowed me to move forward with it. I found that this would be a great API for me if i was able to get by with slightly worse performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blazing fast ASR! They are able to convert audio speech into text with such speed that it would work great for low latency applications (call centers/ customer support/ etc)

What do you like best about the product?
It's a useful, easy to use software to translate every audio, It's very simple create an API, interrogate it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation is a little bad organized. It miss some example in specific languages and something like that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it in some issues in the hacktoberfest, to traslate video and podcast and do demos. It' is very fast to learn to use so that's the benefit
