All-In on Workato!
What do you like best about the product?
The Workato platform is intuitive, flexible, and capable. We have yet to encounter a business problem we can't solve or an endpoint we can't connect to.
Compared to other platforms I've worked with, the user interface is much more clean and simple and quicker to navigate, but has super powerful features "under the hood" that are easy to incorporate into your recipes.
The platform is "low-code" which means that I can introduce non-technical members of my business to it and they can learn and leverage it in ways that would never be possible with other platforms. The more you use the platform, the smarter you become as an integrator.
Additionally, the Workato Customer Support team is super responsive and knowledgeable. They care about your questions, and they seem to have an algorithm that assigns you to a common pool of resources over and over again, so you really feel like you have a personal connection.
Lastly, the user community surrounding Workato is vast and active. And Workato does a great job helping to curate great content and host events for like minds to connect.

What do you dislike about the product?
Importing and Exporting jobs from one environment leaves a little bit to be desired. Sometimes components can be duplicated or connections to a Production system do not always perfectly match the way they work in a Sandbox environment. Knowing what to "select" or "deselect" in a change set prior to importing or exporting can be a bit of an art form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and foremost, we are connecting all of our enterprise systems: CRM, ERP, eCommerce, IoT, Customer Support, and more. Our data is consistent across systems and we are able to police changes that violate our data governance policies in a way we never could before.
We are also able to incorporate new endpoints into our existing data flows very quicly.
And for systems that are more "closed off" in nature, we can even expose curated data points by making our own API endpoints.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Involve your non-technical business beneficiaries in the decision to some extent. If you do it right, you may even be able to allow analysts outside of your technical team to leverage the platform.
Be prepared with some real use cases that you can try the Workato platform on.
Make sure you vet that your core systems have pre-built connectors, or if not make sure you vet with the Workato team how you could connect with them to make sure it will work for your business.

Workato sets the standard for what a Low-Code/No-Code Integration and Automation System should be
What do you like best about the product?
Previously what would require a considerable effort by an IT Team to put together an automation/integration can now be done by a smaller team in a much shorter timeframe.
The Dev Team at Workato is constantly working to make improvements to the platform and add additional features and functionality.
The User Interface is intuitive and makes creating complicated processes a breeze.

What do you dislike about the product?
The price point of Workato can be a bit steep for some smaller organizations.
Some of the connectors could use some work to get more functionality added in, and it would be great if there were even more standard connectors available.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato is helping us increase the efficiency of an organization by automating processes that were previously redundant and prone to error.
Without having to worry about manual imports, exports, and manipulating large data sets, business users can focus more of their time on other responsibilities. Workato helps to increase efficiency by allowing the organization as a whole to handle larger volumes of data than they could previously handle before.

What do you like best about the product?
The way it helps us to automate business workflows across cloud and on premise apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
More connectors should be introduced in order to get best results
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow automation on azure
New integration experience
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, constant evolution (new features), and a great support and assistance team
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, we do not identify any impediment or bad experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is being used in the company to cover all data and application integration processes. Its ease of use and how quickly an integration process can be built stand out.
I'm an automation engineer developing Workato integration for almost 1.5 years
What do you like best about the product?
Workato is an easy tool to work with and also, powerful enough to develop complex integrations. Support chat offers a major plus to the platform to have well prepared delevopers who can help with any queries which can be found in the documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there is a downside, but I found a few bugs or features I would have liked to have in Workato. Having the support chat is very helpful and fades away the downside of this, as the team is well prepared to face any challenges, and they helped me every time to achieve what I was trying to do. I appreciate that Workato constantly evolves and improves the platform, and I'm looking forward to seeing more features added in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato helps me to:
- automating manual processes for different customers like onboarding/offboarding (removing any possible human error and saving time for engineers)
- syncing data from one API to another to keep all the systems aligned
- developing integrations with Slack bots, and much more.

Scalable Automations
What do you like best about the product?
The visual interface is really great and makes it easy to demonstrate automation logic to stakeholders. Job reports builds trust with stakeholders, as it makes errors and issues easy to identify and resolve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some connections only cover basic actions and require customization in order to perform more specialized behaviors. An example of this is the Google Drive connection. It works great and supports several useful functions like searching for, creating, and moving files. However, a custom action is required to list all the files within a folder.
However, it seems like almost every month, they are releasing new and updated connections to fill in these gaps. I feel confident this is a short-term issue while they expand their catalog of connectors.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato is great for reducing the tedious work and allowing staff to get back to doing the parts of the job they love. Some problems I've solved with Workato include:
syncing the creation of new employee records between HR, IT, Finance and ERP systems
transferring and cleansing data that was previously managed through massive excel sheets
updating business-critical spreadsheets in real-time
streamlining approvals for purchases, time off requests, etc
automating fulfillment records between software license deployment systems and sales/finance systems
fixing some inherent bugs within a single system (changing the status of a support case or escalating the case after a period of dormancy)

Amazing user friendly UI and flexible IPaaS system
What do you like best about the product?
Able to quickly test and fix the flow by toggling between Recipe/Test mode. Secondly, ability to use the previously created variables, not only that its intelligent enough to suggest the data pills as well
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you have to switch between Text and Formula mode for some actions work, that will be a bit tricky in the initial days, but as you work and learn, it won't be an issue later on
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating SOAP and REST-based APIs to automate some business processes helped my organization custom deliver and, in less time, the solutions with No Code/Low Code approach Workato support.

Best Integration Platform and a world-class support team
What do you like best about the product?
The platform offers features to kick-off integrations really fast, and in combination with their support team, accelerates the creation of company-wide integrations. Besides that, they have a Connector SDK and HTTP connectors that allow to connect to anything that implements API Keys, oAuth, among other forms of authentication.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the beginning, they had this billing model that charged you by connection. This was highly restrictive and in our case, was against the potential this tool had for us. Then they changed to a recipe-based model, that allowed us to have more than 40 recipes integrating several areas of the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Besides the need for integration of several applications such as Salesforce, BambooHR, Greenhouse ATS, Quickbooks; The main problem we are solving is the need to have a team of developers dedicated to Digital Transformation. Since we are a Software Development Company, the developers we have are usually dedicated to our clients, and they are almost never available for internal projects, Workato came to solve the need for a developer and I was able to hire people based on other skills.
We are covering several processes such as Billing, Collection, Incentives, Recruiting, Onboarding and Offboarding, among other use cases.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't limit yourself when imaging integrations, start small but think about scaling the automated processes. Rely heavily on their support team, they will go far and beyond to get the job done.
