Using it for 3 years now : great set of features available within Walkme

  • March 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the wide variety of features in the app, which I can mix to reduce digital frustration for users discovering a new system.
I also like the proactive community and the customer support who always give their best to answer issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawback is for me change mangement and version control ; i.e. when building a lot of content within a team of editors ; it is sometimes hard to find out who published and changed what, when looking for the details or minor changes. The good point is that the product management team as already taken this point into account and is working on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Walkme helps to reduce the learning curve of the applications used by our customers.

Made our system more intuitive

What do you like best about the product?
WalkMe allows us to create solutions that can be instantly published to our system, improving the communication with our end-users. I would say the features we find most helpful are:
- Smarttips: adding tooltips to the myriad forms on our system made the user journey less painful
- Insights data: allows us to get real-time data on our user behavior, which pages are the most visited, which keywords are being searched for on the help menu
-Surveys: getting our users' input allowed us to grow WalkMe organically, adding the guidance our users need
What do you dislike about the product?
Since WalkMe is heavily embedded on our system, a downside might be getting users complaints if WalkMe does not load properly, as our users are so used to interacting with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Development: WalkMe auto-steps has allowed us to create "custom features" in less time than our Dev team would take
OCM: Using banners to make users aware of new releases and features
User satisfaction: Overall feeling towards our feeling is positive

What do you like best about the product?
Walkme is an cloud-based Digital Adoption Platform enables organizations to measure, drive, and act to ultimately accelerate their digital transformations and better realize the value of their software investments. Our code-free platform leverages our proprietary technology to provide visibility to an organization’s CIO and business leaders, while improving user experience, productivity and efficiency for employees and customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a training consultant without any programming or IT experience, I have been able to quickly learn the tool and create simple effective solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is cost-effective, reducing the need for human trainers

WalkMe is the best opportunity I have ever known in the IT business.

What do you like best about the product?
WalkMe bridges the gap between what users know and what they need assistance with. Not everyone learns all there is to know during training. WalkMe allows everyone the opportunity to succeed in whatever process they are engaged in.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a hard question. I can not think of anything I dislike about WalkMe. Regardless of the suggestions, WalkMe always makes it happen. If I had to pick one thing, I would say to provide some more expansive support articles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WalkMe has recently built in real-time help and evaluation for builds to detect the issue when a solution is not working.

What do you like best about the product?
It was a very effective tool. Worked as expected, and helped our customers with in-app/website navigation. Got good effort and help from their support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Onboarding was not smooth. We were left to figure some things out on our own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Navigation through a changing portal, guidance through tasks. Announcements for upcoming and new releases.

An excellent tool with a bit of a learning curve.

What do you like best about the product?
WalkMe can do amazing things to help my users know what has changed or where to go to complete various processes in Salesforce or Envestnet! I am still learning things about what WM can do more than two years into being my company's primary WM builder.

It is fully customizable in so many ways. In particular, the ability to create custom triggers has made building so much easier for the complex processes my company tends to use. There's a learning curve on the rules engine, but once the lightbulb goes off, it is so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steeper learning curve than we understood when we first rolled out WM. It took about six months of full-time building before I really knew what I was doing, mainly because each type of content (Smart Walk-Thru, SmartTip, ShoutOut, Launcher, etc.) has different pieces that you need to learn to watch out for so it will work properly for users.

Now that I've got all of the little tricks in my head, I can usually build WM content quickly and easily. I just wish I had had different expectations for how long it was going to take me to be a fully proficient builder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WalkMe takes my users through various onboarding processes, makes sure my users know what has changed in our software, alerts them to information they need to know, and generally serves as a one-stop shop that has reduced our training needs companywide.

WalkMe helps us prevent user errors, lets us redirect users to the correct process, etc.

Should be used as a standard in Excellent Onboarding Practices!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the community and, of course, the ease of the tool. This tool removes the need for hours of videos of training for our new hires, the need to update those tools and any confusion on using those tools, or the need to refer to those videos. Being from an IT Security company, our new hires touch an unbelievable number of tools in one day. From HR, Admin, and Sales, to IT and forecast tools, their jobs depend on the successful use of software, and this tool starts them off on the right foot and in a faster time than the alternative.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have heard from my IT team that it does slow down the speed of our SFDC tool significantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training in new tools for new hires and pushing tool announcements and changes to our current team.

What do you like best about the product?
- At the strategic level: WalkMe can positively impact on the results of the company, in the short term can change the rate of productivity and the commitment of the users, and in the long term on time and money therefore a good ROI .

- At the functional level: WalkMe can simplify the handling of any solution especially in the learning phase, can also help to track and collect more information on user interactions with the system thanks to insight .

- At the technical level: WalkMe can help improve the UX/UI, help to integrate other features without touching source code, because the two technologies are separate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing negative so far whenever I encounter bugs the support team takes the lead
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help users to follow and work under their company's CBM/CBS and easily understand all the features of their ERP

Embedding Guidance/Scripting/Context Within Other Systems

  • March 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to custom-build shoutouts, scripting, tooltips, and other guidance within the websites of partners so that our team members are well-informed.

I've never used a similar tool that overlays within a website like this, so unfortunately I can't really compare it to competitors, but WalkMe is a unique and beneficial tool if you can leverage it in your workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a complicated tool that requires decent understanding of the system you are building it in, & how to use the rules engine/logic to trigger the content. We used WalkMe in 3rd party partner websites, however if you were to use it within your own platform, where you have full access to the HTML/programming it would likely be much easier to maintain/upkeep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that a team member is disclosing important information to the customer, and that the team member has important context and other information at their disposal while using a given system.
