Tray gets the job done
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Tray connects to just about everything. If you have an application with an API, it's likely tray can link to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tray does go down relatively often, in comparison to other applications my company uses. And the fixes are not always super fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to solve the problem of connecting multiple applications across multiple domains. Tray allows us to centralize some workflows
Tray helps us automate tickets!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that tray connects to all of our 60+ zendesk instances to help us automate ticket flow
What do you dislike about the product?
can be a bit slow at times and does go down occationally
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we have WAY more systems than we can manually manage. Tray helps us move and change data in all of our systems with very little custom code
Good product
What do you like best about the product?
Tray.io worked great as a workflow automation system. It handled everything that my organization needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that it was relatively complex to build out what I needed. When it worked, it worked, but I would have required plenty of additional time with a CS resource to really be able to use it to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mockups for demos, internal process automation
Tray is great - it's easy to use and flexible to accommodate our custom workflows
What do you like best about the product?
I like that tray has all the connectors we need and has flexibility to write scripts to be even more custom.
What do you dislike about the product?
The things I dislike are that it doesn't have good functionality to follow a release promotion process and doesn't have better access controls for different groups but both of these are being addressed with upcoming features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't want to write custom code to support unique workflows for different partners. Tray allows us to write custom workflows and integrations between our internal tools - sometimes just a POC with tray.io can save us a lot of time.
Great team to work with!
What do you like best about the product?
The team is great and really doing above and beyond to the success of their customers
What do you dislike about the product?
Comparing to their main competitor, I wish they had more advanced features (like skipping a step in a flow and easier use of their scripts)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to integrate salesforce. slack and other tools
Best workflow automation tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
Tray has all of the connectors needed to make extremely powerful workflow automations. It also has the ability to do more advanced work like code steps and API calls to connect with tools where they might not have a connector built yet.
Their team has also been incredibly helpful in helping to build out more advanced workflows.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes their UI has some bugs, but this is something I run into rarely and is always fixed by a refresh. It has never resulted in me losing work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main use cases we have for Tray are moving data between systems and automating workflows.
One of the biggest workflows we have running is a transfer of product data into our CRM on a daily basis. This is something that would be unmanagable to do manually, but becomes simple with Tray.

Tray.io for streamlined Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is perfect for teams where coders can build workflows quickly but also people not familiar with coding language can go in and see errors, see whats happening etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Debugging and logging require a lot of clicks when not on the Enterprise plan. The bigger the Workflows the longer the response time of the platform when building.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can have automated integrations running on an external, supervised server. Lots of prebuild blocks/connections to apis, but not all of the ones populated on the tray.io website.
Consistently Positive Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Tray.io has been an invaluable tool as we scale our systems to match our growth. The product is simple enough that it is useable by those without a software background, but allows enough complexity that it teaches while enabling any level of automation complexity we've encountered. Support service has been terrific.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model leaves something to be desired as charging by workflows is not directly applicable to every company's use-case. While their sales team has been flexible to a degree, a lack of automatic task/workflow/data limits built into the service leaves space for ambiguity/interpretation when attempting to govern usage internally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found the most significant usage for Tray.io with logistical automation, which processes orders, shipments, returns, etc.
Great Tool for integrating any system
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the platform makes it easy to use without having development skills. They have so many ways to integrate different systems, and their implementation team is excellent to work with. Their pricing is also competitive, and I like that they don't limit the number of workflows on your account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Billing and Support are where they lack. I actually don't know who is supporting our account at the moment. Within their platform, the Billing portion hasn't been implemented, so it's hard to tell when your contract is coming up for renewal and who to reach out to about it. Support responses are also slow at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We purchased ZenDesk back in 2019 and needed a tool that would help provide a seamless integration with our Salesforce Org. After purchasing Tray.io and working with their implementation team, the tool has been great to have. It allows our Support Team to access Salesforce data within ZenDesk and limits the number of systems needed for Support to do their job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tray.io integrates with most SAAS solutions and allows you to build integrations within seconds using their drag and drop platform. Their implementation team is fantastic to work with and will help you get things up and running! Support isn't bad; just be prepared for longer response times. You also may not hear from your Account Executive after purchasing the software.
Easy + Intuitive Integration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use and has myriad connectors out of the box. Workflow is logical and visual and allows for complex solutions. Being able to segment workflows out into smaller, callable workflows, akin to microservices, helps to optimize performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documenation could be a bit more in-depth; there are a lot of functions within each connector, but there's a bit of trial and error with some bits. It's always hard to price tools like this, but the high barrier to entry prevents consultants/freelancers from trying it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we identify product/market gaps, we build integrations with our partner network, which allows us to go to market together with net-new solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Working with their sales team has been excellent! Very organized and results-driven.
