Incredibly powerful for automations
What do you like best about the product?
Tray's baked in integrations with so many services, like Slack, allow for it to be an incredibly awesome tool for easily creating powerful automations for almost anything. The support for raw webhooks as triggers and raw scripting means you can implement almost anything even if there isn't a custom item in Tray for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really nothing, I've never had an issue with anything in Tray. Initially, understanding getting values from scripts into other items/nodes is a bit confusing but once you've established it, it becomes really powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tray primarily for creating automated feeds in Slack channels for all sorts of events from our systems and websites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make use of the scripting powers within Tray, it allows you ot do awesome things!
From Marketer to API builder in less than a month with automation critical to business growth.
What do you like best about the product?
Tray's user interface made it easy for me to build my first API integration to automate data flow between different systems in our martech stack. Some competitors provide out of the box integrations, but often those are rigid and don't allow for modifications based upon your unique business processes and needs. Tray let's you build the way you NEED to build. Having never built an API integration before, the idea of out of the box, no thinking required sounded nice. But I'm glad I chose Tray! As the use case evolved, I had to adjust the integration to capture and process different kinds of data to achieve our goals. Another out-of-the-box player wouldn't have been able to do this without buying more product.
They're also security and compliance forward as a business and technology - which several others I evaluated were NOT. Only 17% of martech is SOC 2, Type II certified and that's a critical factor in technology we choose to use to protect the security of our clients, our data and our business.

What do you dislike about the product?
Being a laymen to API integrations (knowing the lingo but not the actual minutia of how they work) I had a bit of a learning curve. I had some help, but it was somewhat limited and had to learn on my own. BUT, that was also a factor of the deal I negotiated - I opted to learn on my own vs a fee-based support engagement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've integrated systems in our martech stack to automate data flows. Doing so has freed up various marketers' time to avoid manual list processing so they can focus on other higher value functions. It has also allowed us to automate communications based upon the data being transferred, which couldn't be done reliable when lists were manually ported.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a tool which is flexible to meet your business process and provides the compliance and security your organization requires, Tray is the right choice.

Flexible, powerful and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I've used other integration/automation tools in the past, and Tray is more powerful, easier to use and more flexible than the rest. The tool gives you a visual workflow format to plan and create your integrations and automation workflows. Not only does it give you out of the box connectors for common connections between tools like Salesforce, Intercom, Mode Analytics, AWS, and Segment, it gives you connectors for common functions like HTTP clients, scripts, booleans, loops, csv readers and more. These combined have allowed me to create custom workflows and integrations that perfectly match our tech stack and automation needs.
I'm a visual learner and planner, and I'm not a full fledged developer, so Tray's visual, drag and drop workflow builder makes it easy to keep track of complex functions and flows. They also have some of the best support to work with.
Overall, I highly recommend Tray for any company or team in need of a flexible automation and integration tool. It's a great platform in particular for people in technical marketing, marketing ops, growth, marketing automation and other tech adjacent roles to learn and get hands-on experience with more technical concepts and skills in order to power their work in ways that previously only developers and engineers could facilitate.

What do you dislike about the product?
They are scaling and adding features quickly, so I'm sure it's in the works, but sharing workflows that have user-level authentication steps with teammates can be tricky. It's more secure, and I prefer secure workflows over faster sharing, it's just a little quirk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to automate much of our manual data processes -- Intercom for example doesn't have a programmatic way to get message and conversation data out of the product for further investigation -- and some GDPR processes, which has saved us a ton of time.
We've also been able to automate our segmentation and audience building on the marketing automation side, so we can automatically enroll users in the most relevant communications based on current data and preferences.

Great connector!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that we've been able to make connections to so many disparate web apps in such a short period of time. The constantly looping triggers and subsequent actions make it easier to connect the systems clients need most. There are more pathways with this connector than any other I've used before.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like anything, a taste of something good will always lead to a thirst for more. More connectors and automation triggers please!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting systems that we don't natively connect to , quickly and hassle-free.
Independence! I created 19 different workflows without dev resources
What do you like best about the product?
Tray.io has taken over many of our workflows core to our operations. I love that I can create integrations and automation myself without needing to draw on scarce developer time.
The product seems to have improved every time I log in!

What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation is a bit thin so I first try to figure it out on my own. If I can’t figure it out jump on in-app support chat and the team is responsive and helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tray.io lets me tie together multiple SaaS products with advanced workflow logic and without the need for custom code.
Tray binds all our enterprise applications together with precision and ease.
What do you like best about the product?
Fitting somewhere between Zapier and Mulesoft, Tray is the glue that holds our business together. Without it we could not leverage the large investment we've made in products such as Zuora, Salesforce and Marketo. The interface is easy to use, the debugging information is mostly available and they're definitely heading in the right direction with features such as alerts and more connectors. They always respond to feedback and their support team is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
More connectors and more comprehensive features in some of the connectors we use most such as Marketo and Zuora would be helpful. The debugging has regressed from its previous incarnation but I'm assured that they are working diligently on rectifying and improving this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run a large enterprise stack of applications at Karbon and their integration with each other is key to their success. Tray ensures everything continues to run smoothly, reducing manual overhead and administration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure the connectors they have suit your requirements.
Easy API integration for marketing and sales operations.
What do you like best about the product?
Tray connects pretty much any services with an API and can run operations on the data between them. The ability to integrate and run automation on the data in more than two services in one workflow is very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Power and adaptability often means complexity; this is true to an extent with Tray, but you catch on quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing and sales operations workflows have turned from manual tasks to automated simplicity.
Powerful tool for Real-Time Data, Automation
What do you like best about the product?
Tray's debug interface gives you instant feedback as you are building workflows, this allows you to build powerful processes much more quickly than other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like the other reviewer said, it can take some time to get a grasp on how Tray workflows can be used. My advice is start small with some of their existing use cases, and after some trial and error you will likely be coming up with a lot more ways to use Tray.

Real-Time updates on 2 million+ customer records in 3rd party Email and marketing systems - Using Tray connectors, we're able to stream important customer activity from our core platform to 3rd party tools like Salesforce, Marketo and others, where we can respond to it instantly. Tray receives, transforms, routes and batches 15million plus messages a day with no problems. Their interface allows us to make updates and changes on the fly without involvement from engineering.
2. New Levels of Marketing Automation - By automating a lot of the marketing drudgery with Tray workflows, our Marketing team is able to focus on more strategic and impactful work. We spend much less time doing repetitive work like uploading audience CSV's, exporting results, moving or joining data from multiple systems, etc...
