Sisense is a powerful and extensive BI tool that sometimes have problems with performance
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that Sisense can be installed locally or in the cloud makes it a great BI option to use and share complex reports and dashbaords with clients. The vast number of free and paid plugin add more features and funcionalities and integrations to the tool. I also love that Sisense have the blox widget type, which allows me to implement HTML code on my dashbaords.
What do you dislike about the product?
For being a web tool, the performance sometimes can be an issue as well as debugging or finding the root cause for an error. Sometimes it's solved by just refreshing the page, other times I need to contact the support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the problem of providing analytics to our customers using the data from our internal systems. By leveraging Sisense, my company can create a hub of reports and dashboards that clients can access at anytime and it's interactive. Helping them to better understand their metrics and data.

Visually appealing and users love it
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the speed and how easy the UI is for our end users. Easy to integrate without a data warehouse.
What do you dislike about the product?
Building cubes and other functionality needs a decent amount of work. Slight nuance items need to be addressed that would make the design a lot smoother.
Cost is a large factor.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense is helping us solve data visualization for our end users. It allows our users to see, play with, and make decisions based on data that otherwise would not be possible.
Buggy with Difficult Onboarding but Otherwise Cool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can build our own data models and customize report widgets.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of features don't exist or aren't fully fleshed out. Filtering or customizing data for reports is difficult. Data model crashes often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense is used to power the reporting we give to clients in our platform. The reports are customizable and easy to edit on an ongoing basis.
We used it for a couple of years for white labeled embedded analytics. It was not good.

Give our customers analytics over our systems data
Most Efficient way to get Value from all of your data is to implement Sisense.
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense provides an enterprise way to consolidate, transform and visualize your data without losing collaboration activity and drill down into details. It is the most business ready solution out there in the market and that is after comparing it to Power BI and Tableau. In addition to the basic use of Sisense they have added the AI analysis of data that really allows users to focus on what the data is telling them vs in dealing with the data. With its efforts in making it easy to install and easy to use, Sisense has kept its ability to extend and provide custom interfaces via modules which are simple to create to make a true solution that fits any company. It has been amazing how we have been able to integrate Sisense across a large number of our data sources thus correlating many of our activities and bringing even more value to our day to day work. We are consistently in Sisense, monitoring dashboards and easy to view reports that provide near real-time insight into our operation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Earlier versions were difficult to install but they have corrected much of that with their latest 2023 releases. I like that we have easy to apply updates. Some of their best support folks are overseas so there have been some late night sessions with them but they are very dedicated and driven to get to a solution. They have improved their support system and appreciate their turn around times which are much better but still more work on getting information here. Still find a few bad instructions on their docuementation but have seen work done there too. There are so many variables in installing Sisense that you need to make sure you are looking at the right version with the right OS and it is hard to see what things apply to both versions MS vs Linux. Cost is always something that needs to be address but overall they deliver more value for the cost of the software comparably.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduced time for data analysis and quick access to insights with associated drill down.

Massive return for a portion of time spent
What do you like best about the product?
The fundamental thing is the ease of use, our customers and ourselves love the way it is straight forward in designing data sets, publishing dashboards.
The overall interface is intuituve and for anyone with a little experience, they can get to grips with only a small amount of effort when compared with our similar products.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest draw back would be when updating our version of the software, in some cases the new version broke existing dashboards due to new bugs, or new ways of doing things. The other is when we do updates we have to manually apply specific settings for our installation to use the resources on the server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are quite a few problems that Sisense helps us solve, from internal call operations monitoring, looking at our product uptake and analysis, creating new dashboards for new data sets has made life so much easier and management can get to data at any time without having to wait.
Our customers use Sisense to over see their social programs and how the progress impacts individuals.

Broad choice of dashboard types and graphs.
Broad choice of dashboard types and graphs.
What do you dislike about the product?
From time to time, it takes quit long to re-built a dashboard, even with enough memory assigned to the system + re-installs needed a few times on upgrade, causing some extra effort
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
fast overview, full footprint, of deployed features.
Fast view on changes, good or bad, following SW upgrades and/or config changes

Overall, my experience with Sisense is satisfactory.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and integration. Minimalistic view of various features in a single dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Specifically felt hard to resolve elastic cube build failures when handling considerable amount of data. The builds were inconsistent sometimes which made it a bit difficult to reconcile data in a few scenarios. Quick resolution would be really appreciated moving on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gain visual insights, transforming data. Easy way for analysts to make minor changes to get the required data by applying custom filters.
Falls short compared to other BI Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I like the customization from the standpoint of changing the fonts colors and buttons to make it consistant with our companies colors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Falls really short compared to Power BI and Tableau.
The data model view is very clunky and makes it difficult to easily understand the relationships of the data.
It is missing what I consider to be basic functionality that their competing tools handle such as min(date) and max(date).
I have not found a way to incorporate user inputted parameters such as a desired threshold to use in calculations without some sort of filter hack, another thing that is easy to do in Tableau or PowerBI.
You cannot just do a simple case statement on a dimension without changing this in the data model.
Formula syntax is clunky and weird.

We need an analytics tool, some legacy developers chose sisense, now we continue to use it because we dont want to re-write everything we created in another platform.
