Head of Strategy
What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro early in most projects to get the full picture, see what connects, what’s missing, and where we want to go. It’s where messy thoughts turn into structure. It helps me and my clients think together, gives shape to ideas fast, and shows whether we’ve really understood the problem. If you can’t show it simply, you probably haven’t thought it through.
To me, Miro is basically a screendump of your brain. It’s easy to jump right into, even for people who are relatively new to digital collaboration platforms (as some of my clients are). Great templates, solid integrations, and a wide set of APIs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike is a strong word. The AI layer needs work. and I’d love a slightly more “unclumsy” mode for new users (people who sometimes drag, move or delete stuff by mistake). They move fast, sometimes too fast, but I still prefer that to being slow and safe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me turn complex, messy projects into something you can actually see and talk about. It’s where diagnosis, mapping and early ideation happen. Where thoughts that live in people’s heads finally get a shape. For me and my clients, that shared visual layer speeds things up, surfaces blind spots, and gets everyone looking in the same direction before production starts. It just makes strategy work visible, which is half the battle.
Great for Team Visibility, But Can Get Cluttered
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me understand what’s currently going on in the tea. who’s working on what and what still needs to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels a bit cluttered and hard to navigate when there are too many boards or elements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us keep track of ongoing tasks, dependencies, and priorities in a clear, visual way — which makes collaboration smoother and reduces misunderstandings within the team.
Excellent for Process Diagrams, But Has a Few Drawbacks
What do you like best about the product?
Great way to diagram a process in a way that makes it easy for others to quickly understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a while to learn how to use it- not all of the menu buttons are intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps organize an otherwise confusing process in a way that makes it easy for others to understand.
Intuitive Interface and Great Tools, But Sticky Note Deletion Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is easy and intuitive. Plenty of tools and elements to create easily-digestible compilations of information. Easy to connect elements to show relationships and flows. Good export options to fit different presentation formats and use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to delete all sticky notes within a frame without clicking on each one (perhaps the feature is there but it wasn't immediately apparent).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capturing diverse thinking and views across teams, including clients, and synthesising those into shareable resources for projects and further analysis.
It streamlines collaboration and gives people collated information for future reference, overcoming information leakage after workshops.

Easy Flow Creation, But Slow Connections Can Frustrate
What do you like best about the product?
The place where flows can be easily created.
What do you dislike about the product?
The part/area where the connection is slow/heavy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps align understanding within the company.
Flexible, Integrative, and Template-Rich—Minor Organization Tweaks Needed
What do you like best about the product?
I work in digital strategy, and I use Miro almost every day. I like that Miro is extremely flexible and integrates with a ton of different tools. We've used Miro for everything from website design concepting to analytics reporting to sprint training. Miro's investment in building a community of templates has been another awesome improvement over the past few years -- templates make things much faster and easier to get started!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes looking at a blank Miro board can be tough because you don't know where to start, but I do think that the growing template library has helped diminish the instances of "blank page syndrome" when trying to get work started! The only thing I dislike is that there is no additional options for "nesting" information aside from organizing boards and content into "Spaces". We have a space per client, but it would be helpful to be able to organize information by project within that client space. All in all that's a super minor inconvenience vs. a major turn off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro really helps us bring a lot of different kinds of information into one place to help move projects forward. We have tinkered with Figjam as an extension of Figma as a replacement, but it doesn't come close to the features, ease of use, and pricing and account structure Miro offers.
Dynamic Collaboration with a Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Miro's capability for real-time brainstorming and adjustments, which is highly beneficial for dynamic project planning and generating realistic insights. Its dynamic nature compared to other static platforms enables functional conversations and facilitates real-time updates, significantly aiding my workflow. Additionally, I find Miro's blank board feature incredibly useful for outlining complex workflows and processes. This feature allows me to visualize and clarify where control is needed, identify partner contributions, and determine what needs to be dynamic versus static, which is essential for managing complex systems. Using Miro has been great for organizing my projects and fostering cross-functional collaboration. I'm also fond of its integration with Slack, enhancing communication and collaboration within my team. These aspects of Miro have contributed positively to my overall experience, making it a valuable tool for my professional needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup a bit challenging, particularly in identifying the functionality of different templates and navigating a blank board. It's a bit complicated at first. I also think there are some general day-to-day functionality aspects that are cumbersome, like moving, shifting, and formatting items, which could be simplified. The platform, while powerful, is also quite intricate, which can be overwhelming for new users. Additionally, there's an abundance of templates, which makes it difficult to identify the best one for my needs, leading to a desire for an AI feature that suggests or transitions templates based on the work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for real-time brainstorming and adjustments, which aids in dynamic visualization and functional conversations. It allows realistic insights and real-time updates, making it beneficial for outlining processes and workflows collaboratively.
Excellent for Team Collaboration, but Navigation Could Be Smoother
What do you like best about the product?
As a designer I find Miro to be greatly accessible by non-design peers. It helps everyone visualize work, flows, boards, ceremonies and tasks, improving collaboration. I like that it can easily turn a boring task into a fun session together. I use it mostly for team collaboration with engineers, product managers and other designers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I see a good opportuninity to improve navigation, I often find certain features hard to find. I would like to pin frequently used tools to the side navigation bar. I also sometimes found issues enabling features that others had access too, like setting a timer during while I present a Miro board in a meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a centralised hub for visual maps, whiteboards, brainstorm sessions, visual customer journeys. Also being able to share access and collaborate with anyone in the team, as it is frequently known by peeps and does not require previous experience using it.
Ease of use and excellent user retention
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ease of use as well as the user retention capability that this product offers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downloading images and tables sometimes poses a problem, especially when dealing with particularly large objects. In these cases, exporting becomes complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clearing and setting up new projects or existing projects, as well as clarifying ideas or features associated with these projects.
