Infinite Workspace and Effortless Image Management—Perfect for Designers

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very freeform and the workspace is infinite. I don't experience much lag when I have a really big board which I love so I feel pretty unrestricted. I like that I can upload photos from the computer, copy and paste, or from a URL. This makes it really easy as an interior designer when I have to pull images from a variety of sources and a variety of file formats. I also love the frame feature for organizing into sections! I love how it's labeled and it moves the contents with it when I move the frame around.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if there were a feature to add a caption to a photo instead of just an Alt description or adding a free-floating text box. I almost always have to label my images with the manufacturer and name of the material I'm showing and I find it tedious to copy and paste text boxes repeatedly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's important to make mood boards and keep track of material selections for clients visually. Some of this benefits me by keeping the information organized, and some of this benefits the client because I can take a quick screenshot and share it with them. I usually only want them to see a curated snapshot of the overall information I'm collecting, not give them full shared access to the board.

Unmatched Flexibility for Expanding Ideas and Organizing Information

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The never-ending space and unlimited ability to place and move items around with ease makes all sorts of work so much easier. It allows thoughts and line of research to expand and build into systems of information that no other platform allows for. It is a non-restrictive way to document how ideas are formed and learning is grown.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you are adding a new frame and it gets placed randomly on the screen and if it overlaps with other objects it automatically gets put into the frame (a small annoyance).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps provide a space where we can perform research on ideas and keep all lines of work from beginning to end in a story-like fashion. We love the ability to add in pdfs and being able to link items both internally and externally. We have created several roadmaps, and project plans using Miro since it is easy to make steps and arrows, then easily move them around when needed. It is a great place for multiple people to work on something at the same time, such as drafting a roadmap or brainstorming ideas.

Effortless Collaboration and Diagramming with Miro

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Miro makes it super easy to jump right in and start creating diagrams, which was a significant factor in me continuing to use it after first discovering it at a previous job. The ease of use compared to other tools like Figma and Lucidchart, which have a steeper learning curve, is a standout feature. Miro simplifies the process of diagramming, particularly for communicating PRDs and product requirements to other stakeholders, allowing them to visually see what I am trying to build. I find it incredibly beneficial for visually building out systems and ensuring that all my separate teams can understand the concepts I'm working on. This visual clarity is a key benefit I get from using Miro. Additionally, Miro's capability for easy collaboration and the ability to share links, create diagrams, and involve team members seamlessly enhances its usability. I especially enjoy using the feature to build sequence diagrams and use case diagrams, as that's primarily what I utilize it for. The platform's depth in handling complex diagrams surpasses alternatives like Confluence, which only allows basic diagramming. Furthermore, Miro's ability to create as many dashboards as I need, and the option to share them with others for collaboration, makes it an essential tool in my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, miro provides me with all the tools i need
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to visually communicate requirements with multiple teams, easing collaboration and understanding across stakeholders.

Essential for Remote Collaboration, Though Permissions Can Be Tricky

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an external consultant, I truly appreciate the flexibility that Miro offers. I find it extremely easy to use and implement, and I rely on it daily to co-create templates with clients, facilitate remote service design workshops, document brainstorming sessions, and even deliver final artefacts. Miro is robust enough to handle detailed, structured work, yet remains intuitive and accessible for participants who are new to design tools. The platform’s ability to bring together visuals, sticky notes, frameworks, and links within a single shared space makes it both easy to use and essential for remote collaboration. The customer support team and community are always warm and helpful, making me feel genuinely welcomed as part of the Miro family. Additionally, I value how seamlessly Miro integrates with third-party tools, which greatly simplifies the handoff process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing permissions can sometimes feel cumbersome, particularly when working with clients who are very focused on security and hesitant to allow permissions for Guest Collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro continues to develop as an outstanding platform for creating accessible co-creation spaces, especially in this era of returning to the office. As a service design consultant, I depend on Miro to run inclusive hybrid workshops that unite stakeholders and customers with a range of experiences, including those who may not always be able to attend in person. Its robust and secure features have earned the trust of managers for official collaboration, making it a powerful tool for ensuring that everyone's voice is heard, particularly for those unable to commute to busy city offices or who require more flexible ways to collaborate. Miro enables me to make my service design practice truly accessible and participatory for the broadest possible audience.

Effortless Remote Collaboration, Needs Better Board Organization

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use, and a life saves for remote workshops. Very easy to onboard people who have never used it, making it ideal to quickly gather their inputs directly on the board. I also really like the templates available in the Miroverse that negate the 'White paper fear'.

It is also very easy to integrate this with Jira or Azure DevOps, making it useful as a central source of truth for business processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
These are minor details, but it would be good to have more control on versioning and a better way to label and organise the boards as sometimes on larger projects this can get messy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Remote workshops with several stakholders
- Single source of truth for Service Blueprints and Process Maps
- Brainstorming with colleagues on complex topics

Good experience, ease of use and well implemented features.

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to use and to share with your team, good for work or any personal projects. Also has lots of ways to brainstorm or plan your ideas, which is very good in the "ideas" phase of the projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe some table configurations, or "moving" mechanics could be more simple, nothing special.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a game designer, which means I need to communicate well with the rest of the team so the idea can easily reach reality and take form the right way, so Miro helps me do that communication without problems: I can do game systems diagrams, app flowcharts, AI behavior, planning, art reference moodboards and much more.

Great Templates and Usability, Minor Issues with Component Selection

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It begins as a blank canvas, but offers some excellent templates to help you get started. These templates are user-friendly and frequently based on well-known product methodologies.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it can be difficult to get the click focus exactly where you need it in order to move the components you want. This can make the process a bit frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform offers a collaborative environment and serves as an excellent place to gather and organize all project-related materials, regardless of the format. Other tools can either feel a bit one-modal or difficult to quickly get a high level picture of a project.

Prototyping, creating diagrams, mapping processes, and writing technical descriptions are all important aspects of this tool.

Miro Makes Lesson Planning Visual, Flexible, and Effortlessly Organized

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro helps me organize my lessons efficiently. I have a separate board for each class and subject, so I always know exactly where to continue the next lesson. It’s also great that I can give absent students access to the board — they can easily catch up with what they missed. I love how visual and flexible it is; it keeps my lessons structured and interactive at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform lacks built-in geometry tools such as a protractor or set square, which I would find very helpful during my physics lessons. Every now and then, I encounter a minor glitch that requires me to reopen the board. Despite these issues, I think it’s a great platform overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro addresses the challenges of maintaining lesson continuity and ensuring students have access to materials. Previously, it was difficult to resume lessons exactly where I had left off or to help students who were absent catch up. With Miro, everything is visual and centralized in one place, allowing me to continue exercises, revisit previous work, or share the board so students can participate in the lesson remotely. This has made my teaching more organized and accessible.

Miro Makes Remote Collaboration Visual and Intuitive, Minor Locked Item Frustration

  • October 20, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IMHO Miro is the single best tool for collaborating remotely with others. By making everyone's thought processes visual, it's like having a darkroom for our minds (instead of developing photos, we give others people a glimbs into our thougts).

And it's intuitive + easy to sort, categorize and synthezise.

Being able to literally see other people's ideas allows me to establish a unified 'language' with my team and clients, so we all know exactly where we are and where we want to go.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing: Please allow locked items to be clicked by requiring three clicks instead of two (as seen in Concept board). It's a bit annoying when I try to select something else, but the locked item in the background gets selected or refocused instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to get people in different times zones on the same page!
