Great for Collaborative Design, Needs Better Usability

  • September 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Miro for its accessibility and ease of use, which make collaborating seamless by sharing a link. I find features like the voting ability, timer, following others, and the notes stack particularly helpful and enjoyable. Additionally, being able to start from templates or a blank canvas during the discovery phase aids in the creative process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find navigating and organizing within Miro challenging, particularly understanding how folders and themes are structured. It can be difficult to find things, and the system lacks clear maps or organizational systems. The interface could be improved to make it more visually appealing and easier to navigate. Sometimes, simple tasks like finding an emoji can be unnecessarily complicated. Additionally, I would appreciate better support for connecting components with arrows without needing to attach them directly, which would enhance workflow in creating diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to keep everyone on the same page, making collaboration simple by sharing a link. It supports retrospectives, design reviews, and workshops, allowing flexibility with templates or a blank canvas.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can quickly become overwhelming and too much information on a board
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly strategy workshops over Teams

One of the better tools out there for x-team collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
it is simple to use and is licensed in a way which makes it easier for smaller teams to invite stakeholders to view projects (internal and external). It's easy to get going and isn't a complicated tool. I use it personally for flowmapping and ideation creation for clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
It allows you to create n+1 number of boards more than you are alloted to. This was a problem and locked me out of the first board we created.

Figma offers a really great tool for Flow mapping. I haven't seen if Miro offers that but at least on the company plan we are on it doesn't offer an Auto AI FlowMap
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
flow mapping

    Consulting

A playground for consultants

  • September 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely simple and a good space for collaboration. Lots of users can work in the same file and it feels less possible to 'mess up' works in progress.

Sticky notes and pre-built templates allow large, detailed decks or explorations to be spun up very quickly. This is super useful for consultants.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the design elements to be a lot less well implemented than Figma's. It's primarily template based - trying to create well-designed presentations is just not possible in the same way.

Adding text functionality feels limited and clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro acts primarily as a repository for project work and a space for collaboration, allowing thoughts to be gathered in one useful place.

Overall great tool!

What do you like best about the product?
I've found Miro to be a fantastic online collaboration tool, with loads of functionality and constant releases of excited new beta features. It's intuitive to pick up and is a vital part of my team's process!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's obviously frustrating if things are moving/loading slowly, though this isn't a huge problem. My pet peeve is that I have to specifically 'copy as image' rather than just CTRL-C an image, but oh well...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, and having a more visual format rather than a doc.

All of the business map in a one shot

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has really helped our team stay on the same page. I use it 5 days a week. I tried almost all of its features, some of them for need and others for fun and to try. Before, we often had small misunderstandings during internal cooperation, but with Miro, everything is much clearer. I believe the biggest value of Miro is that it removes confusion and makes ideas and processes easy to understand for everyone. It keeps us aligned and saves us time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the AI assist could be improved. Sometimes when I use it, it messes up the boards instead of helping. If that gets better, Miro would be close to perfect for team collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
t’s difficult to stay on the same page with the team, and there’s often no document to reference after each catch-up or brainstorming session. As a result, many insights get lost during this process.

What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration and comment feature is great in Miro as I created a process and it enabled my team to iterate that process to its finish
What do you dislike about the product?
To have a few more measurement techniques would be great to enable and disable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many pieces software out there that claim to assist you in the completion of various flow charts and or diagrams Miro is really a market leader due to the fact of the ease of use and fluidity of the platform

Best Collaborative Whiteboard out there

  • September 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Miro, the UX really takes center stage. It feels a step ahead of competitors like Confluence whiteboards or Apple’s Freeform. Whenever you expect something to just work, Miro already makes it easy and quick to get your ideas on the board. That way, you can focus on what actually matters instead of wrestling with the tool. With other platforms, I often feel like the tool itself creates extra work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any major dislikes, but a couple of things do stand out. The zoom feels a bit tricky, especially at the start of a new board, I’m never quite sure what zoom level or font size to begin with. Once I get going, it’s fine. Also, the folder structure isn’t as intuitive as it could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can brainstorm ideas and map out customer journeys just like I would on paper or a physical whiteboard, but faster and better. Plus, I can share it instantly and collaborate with my team in real time.
