Positive - Utility of Miro for MSc Human-Computer Interaction Dissertation Project
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Miro for me was the collaborative features. This meant I could run an online workshop through it where in-person was not possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
There weren't many things I disliked but one would be limited aspect ratio for sticky notes. Another would be that arrows snapping to image edges can be annoying when trying to annotate content within an image.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helped me solve the problem of a UX workshop (utilising co-design elements) where it was not feasible to do so in person as participants lived far apart and person injury limited my own mobility. Although Miro was not designed for this specific use (I'm sure if it was that would limit it's versatility, though perhaps some processes like thematic analysis could be built in?), it was very useful as features like voting and sticky notes supported how these workshops are conducted in industry.
Nice and easy tool for team work
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how simple it is to use and how fast I can put my ideas on board. It’s great for team collab and planning things visually. The templates also saves a lot of time. I use it almost everyday for brainstorming and it makes team discussion much smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a bit long to load specially when the board has too many items. Also few times it lags when multiple people edit together. The mobile version is not that easy to use, I prefer desktop only. But overall still a good experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps a lot in team collaboration. Earlier it was messy to manage ideas or plan projects together specially when everyone is working remote. Now it’s easy to put all things on one board and discuss visually. It saves time in meetings and makes communication more clear. I can also track project flow better now
Flexible Tool for Drafting and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Miro allows me to create anything I want, from diagrams to notes, with ease. The real-time collaboration and the sketching tools, including the ability to draw, place notes, and copy-paste images, are incredibly beneficial for my drafting needs. Sharing and working with colleagues is seamless, and the overall ease of use of Miro sets it apart.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the user controls in Miro to be problematic, especially when dealing with the limitations on the number of boards in the free plan. It's annoying when I have more than three boards, as I can't edit previous boards unless I start asking others to delete theirs. This restriction is frustrating as it disrupts workflow and collaboration. Furthermore, I'm uncertain if there is an admin function to manage or delete boards within an organization, which adds to the inconvenience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to draft and share ideas in real-time, allowing my team to collaborate easily. It offers flexible creation tools for images, notes, and sketches, unlike other strict wireframing tools.

Improved operations for our small business
What do you like best about the product?
The real-time updates between our different team members make it real easy to keep on the same page. We have a small team who works from different locations on different schedules, yet we can all communicate effectively. We update the board daily, so each morning we are all on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is slow to load on the desktop, and once the whiteboard is large, it is resource-intensive on the computer. It sometimes makes it difficult to complete other resource-intensive tasks on the same computer (CAD software).
