Witnessing meeting focus improve dramatically as Miro grounds abstract discussions

  • October 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is good at establishing a historical path of our developing scientific theories and (re)experiments. We can follow the evolution of difficult concepts over the course of many months without losing the conceptual work upon which they are based It also enables our internationally distributed team to iterate on with intricate biological pathway diagrams asynchronously. This saves wasted time in the meeting as a team member explains minor adjustments when there are time differences.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding particular project boards in our expanding library can be like searching the bumper game at picnics of yesteryear! Custom tags have a less detailed overall search function. Archiving boards is not so well integrated into our long term research and it would be beneficial to have a more explicit linking of related boards to form a continuous development project heritage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of our own research projects date over a multiple number of years and it is very hard to induct any new scientists into these projects on previously made decisions and justification on why left experiments fail. Documentation was disjoint, and difficult to traverse across platforms. Miro also acts as a non-static, living knowledge base that lets new staff members visually trace the path of our hypotheses and previous experimental result. This greatly eliminates the time to onboard them and aids in the fact that we do not make the same mistakes that were made before.

Easy to jump in when required

What do you like best about the product?
I don't use miro all that often given the nature of my role but I have always found it easy to use when I need to or when jumping into a brainstorming session with others. It is intuitive and the help centre seems pretty good also
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel as though the help centre could be better integrated into the board view - i.e. instead of having to pop out to a new window/tab, having some free text chat bot / AI help eg 'how do I create X' that returns an answer would be helpful for people that do not use miro very often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
given my role is more technical I do not use miro often but it is useful for mapping process flows and the like

My daily driver for mind mapping

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro every single day as my go-to tool for mind mapping, and it's become an indispensable companion in my workflow. While I know Miro offers a wealth of sophisticated features and capabilities, I can't speak to those since my usage is fairly focused. What I can say is that for mind mapping specifically, it's absolutely reliable, refreshingly simple to use, and fairly priced for the value it delivers. It does exactly what I need without fuss, and that consistency keeps me coming back day after day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can become pricey for those who stick mostly to basic features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Perspective on my overall work canvas.

    Architecture & Planning

Miro is a savior for creative collaboration in hybrid work era

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We might take it for granted, but the speed that we can navigate through so much content on one board is remarkable. Our design teams collect months of iterations, inspiration, markups, presentations, sketches, and comments and Miro makes it so easy to refer back and see progressions. I love that the whole company can
What do you dislike about the product?
The presentation tools, formerly frames, has been a bit clunky. I also find friction with the leader arrows and what they attach to, sometimes moving or being deleted without intent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an architect (the real kind), I don't think Miro is targeting our needs for the most part. The Ai notes and summaries would be one way.

Very useful tool

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use it mostly for team retrospectives, and also occasionally for mapping out user journeys. I appreciate the open ended nature of the tool, general ease of use, and the ability to browse templates for inspiration, and customize them at will.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the main pain points we've really had have been related to login, particularly when trying to organize a large group. Although I've found just setting open permissions temporarily during the meeting to be a pretty good workaround, provided there's nothing too sensitive in the doc. Love the voting feature, although perhaps it could be a bit more intuitive. I sometimes find myself fumbling with it a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I'm using it mostly for scrum team retrospectives. We've been doing a sort of modified lean coffee retro format, and I've found Miro to be an effective tool for facilitating that.

    Staffing and Recruiting

The best collaborative tool for brainstorming and lo-fi prototyping

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The way to manage access to files.
Performance, compatibility with browsers
What do you dislike about the product?
Inserting other canvas (Miro-files) to the board and the way to navigate between those elements are painful.

Most of templates from library are too generic and don't help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Product management Knowledge storing (we keep there the results and current statuses of all hypotheses and tests)
2. Data transferring to other teams and setting up tasks from business and product to design and development.

Good - A few tweaks will make it great!

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration across team members, especially in different offices.
What do you dislike about the product?
i wish there was more editing options for photos/images - Mirroring, black and white, etc. It would be helpful if Miro would warn users if the frames are outrageously large, as I've copied in other things from previous Miros and they have come in comically small. I assume a larger images/text/frames uses more memory and can slow the miro down. I've ran into issues like that a handful of times. I also wish it was easier to rearrange frames for presentations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving design problems. Its beneficial to have a collaborative tool to be shared easily across all of our designers in various offices.

My Experience with Miro

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an excellent tool for teams that need to collaborate and brainstorm in real time, especially when team members are not all in the same location. Its intuitive, visual interface makes it easy to map out ideas, organise thoughts, and create interactive boards that everyone can contribute to simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback is that the free version limits the number of boards you can create, which can be restrictive for larger or ongoing projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro addresses the challenge of remote collaboration and brainstorming. When team members are spread across different locations, it can be difficult to brainstorm. Miro solves this by providing a virtual whiteboard where everyone can contribute simultaneously, no matter where they are.

Great for team brainstorming workshops

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how colorful and easy to use the interface is. We use Miro for almost every collaborative brainstorming session our team runs
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have trouble with formatting (especially text size) and can't find a template that fits my needs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A way to collaborate live and store historically planning data

Project Management Organization for the Visual People!

  • September 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We began using Miro as a way to keep track of projects teamwide. We wanted something VISUAL as opposed to just a checklist. (Like a whiteboard in office but virtual since we work from different locations). It's easy to see where each project is and what needs done next, especially when we can assign the tasks as well. I go in daily and check on each project. Customer support was very helpful as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish there was a Master Task List so we can just see what needs done next for everyone instead of going into the board for each project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping us manage our numerous projects in a visual manner.
