Easy to use with a minimal learning curve

  • February 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are lots of tools out there that require a significant learning curve. Miro is a tool that teams can leverage on day one.
What do you dislike about the product?
Text and table formatting are a bit lacking. It's certainly not a tool intended for long-form writing, but when I use it for wireframing, it'd be nice to have more rich text features.

I'll also note that there seems to be the occasional connection hiccup. It'll stay on a loading screen for an extended time until I refresh. While I haven't noticed any lost data, it can be unnerving nonetheless!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration & Ideation.

    Design

Intuitive and accessible

  • February 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is really intuitive and easy to onboard our clients into it. We use it every day for our internal project planning, collaboration and presentation. Most of my team use it too, and it has helped the project manager implement a weekly standup by using the widges for team check-ins and temperature check, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the design features are very limited. For example: The round corner boxes have a fixed ratio, so I can't create boxes of different sizes with the same corner ratio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An intuitive platform that helps my team collaborate - FIGMA is very designer centric, and Google Drive is not creative enough.

    Manufacturing

highly visual and flexible collaboration platform

  • February 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro offers an intuitive, drag-and-drop interface that makes it simple for teams to jump in and start collaborating. While the learning curve is slightly steeper than Lucidspark, it remains approachable for most users. It is relatively easy to set up, especially for smaller teams. The browser-based nature eliminates most IT hurdles, though enterprises may face some complexities in rollout. Templates, canvases, real-time collaboration, and integrations with tools like Jira, Slack, and Microsoft Teams make it feature rich. However, the vast number of features can sometimes be overwhelming for new users. It is highly useful for teams that frequently engage in ideation, process mapping, and remote workshops. However, for day-to-day project management, tools like Asana or Notion may be better suited. It connects well with many third-party apps, but deeper integrations (e.g., full bi-directional sync with tools like Salesforce) could be improved. Support is generally responsive, but response times can lag for non-enterprise users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The breadth of features is a double-edged sword. While powerful, it can make onboarding daunting, especially for users who just need a simple whiteboarding tool. Miro’s pricing scales quickly for larger teams, making alternatives like Lucidspark or Mural more attractive for budget-conscious organizations. As boards grow in complexity, performance can lag, particularly in browser-based use. Heavy users may notice slow load times and lag when working on extensive diagrams. Unlike some competitors, Miro requires an internet connection for most features, which can be a drawback for users who need offline access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves collaboration and brainstorming challenges by providing an infinite canvas for teams to visually organize ideas, streamline workflows, and align faster, boosting clarity and efficiency.
