The best platform for mind maps and collaboration

  • December 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The unlimited possibilities to describe your ideas in a simple manner sets Miro apart. I used to rely on pen and paper to create my diagrams and workflows, but Miro transformed this process entirely.
What do you dislike about the product?
After extensive use, I genuinely can't point to any significant drawbacks with Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has transformed how I capture my thoughts. Instead of scattered paper sketches, I can now map out all my ideas on one endless digital canvas. It's like having my brain organized on screen, making it so much easier to plan and develop projects.

A great tool for collaborating online

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to learn and to collaborate online as we work in a hybrid workplace.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search to find your tables again when you have been working for a while. Then there is no good search to be able to find the particular table you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamwork when we don't sit together and work in the same time zone

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can add so many boards and presentation tools
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of some tracking tools to the boards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mostly use it as a brainstorming map and collaborative board and it works great.

The most versatile online whiteboard

What do you like best about the product?
We use Miro regularly in our team for brainstorming sessions, collaborating on UX flows, systems design, project plans, retros, ideating sessions, visualising roadmaps, team workshops, etc
What do you dislike about the product?
It cannot be the only tool for collaboration. For example, if I am not part of the session, it would be very hard to follow where to start and information is usually cryptic. So we will need to walk others through the discussion over a call. This cannot be used async to catchup on a discussion, and I usually need to record the in a more easy to follow format such as a document or confluence post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps is async brainstorming and collaboration the most. It also helps with project plans and management, opportunities mapping, diagramming and user journey mapping.

Miro the tool for Collaboration and a superb replacement from Visio

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Freedom of design. The use of frames. The AI.
The ease of sharing. Easy to use. Many features and a large user community that share many usable templates.
Used the API to easily collect information and update it.
Use it daily and it has become the main tool for our team. Use via the browser and via the desktop app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Network connection is required, so no offline use.
Large boards may take a while to load and obscure bugs may arrise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customers can easily stay involved with the collaboration features. We can work with multiple people to stear and guide workshops. We present, design and create complex documents.
We easily create a new board and start mind mapping. This may be enhanced using the Miro AI features. Saving lots and lots of time.
We use the voting to guide management in workshops to the selection of most important topics. Etc. etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a very robust piece of software that allows multiple users to collaborate. It is ideal for our solutions design workshops when members of staff are working remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is quite overloaded, less technically users may struggle. It is also quite difficult to use without mouse.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ideal for remote collaboration on workshops. The infinite canvas is really useful for organising large amounts of complex information

What do you like best about the product?
That i get to organize my ideas and put them on paper to visually organize myself
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the AI assist tool can be improved. I tried briefing the tool in imagery, flow etc a couple of times but it was not working at all. I feel like once it is mastered, it would be of great help
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me organize my thoughts and analisis

My perceptions about Miro

  • December 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use the flowchart tools. In the free version, you can already use several of the tool's potential features, allowing you to design processes, create projects, brainstorm, etc.

Today, any company that works with projects and doesn't use a system like Miro is missing out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The screen where you share the board for a specific user is still a bit confusing for me, I never know who it is available for, how do I remove a user from the board?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem is the design of processes. Imagine if this had to be done in Paint, for example? It would be horrible and much more time-consuming.
We use shared Miro in some projects with our clients. This has worked very well because we leave the activities on the board for the client to do and then we access them there to make corrections.

I love the product but i have some technical issues

  • December 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is a few things which I can't actually visualise and work out using Miro.
I prefer to use Miro for different scenarios at my work: collecting the discovery data, whiting down my and my team thoughts and insights while preparing strategic vision, running retrospective meeting etc
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a lot of resources of my Macbook and takes my battery off. I use 2019 year Mac with intel processor, I understand that it is pretty old, but camparing to other websites using Miro get my laptom haet up and by really noisy, and I always eed my charger around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting different types of information together, like pictures an screenshots, diagrams, mindmaps etc
I don't know any other product providing such service

Also Miro solves the problem of simultanious work together in team which one page or project

How did we cope without it?!

  • December 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is fantastic for collaboration with groups, but also for ideation individually. Being able to run client workshops virtually has been important for us, but Miro in particular provides the right tools within it to help give everyone a voice and resultingly we've found using miro much more successful than in-person workshops.

Managing multiple users is also easy, and you can have a lot of guests jump into boards as one-time visitors without additional costing.
What do you dislike about the product?
You do need a very low level of ability to map out and build things with the tool -although they have really upped the number of pre-built templates over the past year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro to facilitate conversations - seems strange to say but it helps give everyone a voice and provides more usable outputs than simply a call.
We use it to build roadmaps for both campaign ideation, but also product feature sets.
We use it for straight up ideation and brainstorming.
We use it as a visual builder for some website wireframes but also mocking up somepages in lieu of a tool like figma.
