Versatile tool for product discovery or roadmaps

  • April 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the versatility of Miro.
I have used it mostly for product discovery tracking and ideating. I can easily create different templates to work together with the team either on prioritising issues or on working together to find the best solutions for the challenges we want to solve.
I have also seen it used frequently for roadmaps visualisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's another tool that you need to keep track of. What is reflected in Miro needs to be updated in other areas as well so you end up doing double work most of the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro really helps to visualize all the insights we uncover and allows us to streamline product discovery.

Essential for Cross-Functional Teams Working Remotely

  • April 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a Scrum Master, I actively use Miro in a variety of processes, from our daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions to retrospectives and product roadmap creation.

Our team is large and consists of members based in both Germany and Turkey. Even though we can’t be in the same physical room, Miro brings us together in a shared digital workspace. Its real-time collaboration feature allows team members to work on the board simultaneously, which significantly enhances the efficiency of our planning and evaluation processes.

The pre-made templates (especially Kanban and Retrospective boards) save us a great deal of time. Its strong integration capabilities also help teams manage their work without constantly switching between tools.

In terms of areas for improvement, I might not yet be experienced enough to suggest anything specific — but perhaps I will have some ideas in the future. For now, any minor shortcomings are outweighed by its overall ease of use and the productivity gains it provides.

Miro is an indispensable tool for teams that are distributed across locations and work cross-functionally. It offers an intuitive experience for users at all levels.

I highly recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro is generally a user-friendly tool, but new team members can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the number of features at the beginning. A more guided onboarding process or in-board tips could be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the challenge of collaborating effectively in a remote, cross-functional, and distributed team. Our team is spread between Germany and Turkey, and Miro brings everyone together on a shared digital workspace.

It has significantly improved our agile rituals like retrospectives and sprint planning by providing real-time interactivity, intuitive templates, and integration with tools like Jira. It reduces communication gaps, speeds up decision-making, and keeps everyone aligned visually.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes have issues making items the right size but comes with trial and error, I also sometimes activate a shortcut due the number of them

What do you like best about the product?
It is web-based, and you can deliver fast. People can instantanly work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formal models (such as UML) could have a syntax check, so you might only use the allowed elements/connections,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have distributed partners over Switzerland and beyond. We can work together on a single plattform. The development and communication of ideas and concepts works very well.

A flexible and visual tool that boosts collaboration

  • April 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive and visual Miro is—it makes remote collaboration feel more natural. The templates are super helpful, and I can easily organize complex ideas on an infinite canvas.
Miro shines when it comes to team workshops, mind mapping, and project planning. The ability to comment, vote, and collaborate in real time saves a lot of back-and-forth. It integrates well with other tools like Jira or Slack too, which is a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the board performance can slow down when too many elements are on screen. Also, the pricing can be a bit steep for small teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the need for a simple, easy-to-use tool that’s also highly visual. It allows me to quickly organize ideas, build diagrams, and collaborate with others without needing a steep learning curve. Having everything in one clear, visual space makes teamwork smoother, more engaging, and much easier to follow—especially when working remotely or on complex topics.

A Powerful Collaboration Tool with Room for Improvement

  • April 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a fantastic and intuitive tool for collaboration across distributed and remote teams - our employees use the tool multiple times in a day. Our organization uses the tool significantly to roll out lean practices and fundamentals. One of the standout features of Miro is its visual nature, which surfaces problems more quickly, makes it easy to understand and engage with. The template capability is particularly useful, as it ensures that everyone in our organization is speaking the same language and following consistent processes. Additionally, Miro is advanced in terms of AI integration and development, offering features that are ahead of many other software options in the market. This makes it a versatile and forward-thinking tool for any team looking to enhance their collaborative efforts. I should also call out that since we have a Services Engagement with them, the team is fantastic in terms of helping us accelerate adoption in our organization. I appreciate the consistent strive to improvement in this team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Microsoft products could be more seamless, as this would enhance productivity and streamline workflows (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Teams etc). Additionally, board performance tends to slow down after a number of objects are input, which can be frustrating during intensive collaborative sessions. Some integrations, such as those with Smartsheet, could be smarter and better defined to offer a more cohesive user experience. Addressing these issues would make Miro an even more effective tool for collaboration and productivity.

Overall, Miro is a valuable asset for any team, especially those working remotely or across different locations. With a few enhancements, it has the potential to be the leading collaboration tool in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced Collaboration: Miro's visual nature and collaborative features make it easier for team members to work together, share ideas, and solve problems, regardless of their physical location.

Improved Communication: The use of templates and standardized processes ensures that all team members are aligned, reducing misunderstandings and increasing efficiency.

Support for Lean Practices: By providing tools and templates specifically designed for lean methodologies, Miro helps our organization implement and sustain lean practices more effectively and make sure we're speaking the same language across the organization.

Streamlined Workflows: Miro's integration capabilities, help consolidate various tools and processes, making workflows more efficient and reducing the time spent switching between different platforms.

Great tool for collaboration

  • April 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is extremely user friendly and a great tool for compiling a lot of information for collaboration. I love that it's quick and easy to drop any type of info on the board and add notes, etc. Mostly our team uses the program for early concepting and compiling loose project information in a place that is easily shared to multiple users. We have used it to share loose concept imagery and presentations with clients and the team and also for markups to consultants.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside that I have encountered is that when a board started to become very populated it really slows down the speed at which images load and at which you can navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really helps solve the issue of sharing information easily to multiple people. It increases the speed at which we can work because things can be easily edited and do not need to be exported to pdf to share. Love being able to change in real time during team meetings.

Great tool for early-stage projects and concepts. Very collaborative!

  • April 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The easiness on collaborative projects. I like inviting people with a link and seeing them navigating the conceptual map that has been created for tackling a concept or an early-project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro has many features and possibilities and sometimes I find it hard to navigate them all. I feel I am using less than a 50% of its potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro as the dashboard where everyone can join and write ideas or workflows. We can monitor the advance of sub-projects there, move post-its, write messages, move actionables, etc.
It makes every project very visual and interactive.
