  • November 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a great tool. I just started my business and sometimes its very hard to write down all the ideas and process I have for it. With Miro I always make a sort of rough draft which allows me to see the proccees clearly before going live.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though I pay miro premium I still have some stuff locked which I cant use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is solving the problem of having to much in my head and it being a mess. Without miro and its mindmapping I wouldnt be able to run the business I run.

User-Friendly with great functionality

  • November 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In comparison to other tools, the functionality of Miro is really comprehensive, especially for the paid version. It doesn't require much time to figure it out - the dashboards are user friendly and very intuitive, and features like click and drag, smart drawing, and an accessible menu with options to easily insert diagrams, workflows, to do lists, etc make it great for both collaboration and presentation, especially in terms of breaking down complex processes into visually accessible components. Compared to most tools that require at least some training and setting up, Miro is really simple to integrate into current processess and implement at the team level. I also really like how easy it is to assign owners, deadlines, notes etc and the use of color coding is a great addition to group concepts/themes together and break them down into smaller parts. The free version has a really extensive array of templates to sort through to help structure various types of meetings. If you need a specific template, Miro most likely has it, and it's helpful to sort through the various options to make sure the meeting format is aligned with the goals of the meeting/project. It's been a great tool to help organise my personal taks, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more templates for protocolls in the free version. While you can copy and paste text really easily, it would be great to be able to format protocolls with a premade template directly in the board. Customer support is also not very comprehensive in the free version, only accessible to paid members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a fast-growing digital consultancy agency, so it's important to have an overview of open themes and processes, and the ability to map them on a broad scale and break them down into smaller parts. Miro is a great resource to combine classic task management with collaborative process mapping and strategic objectives.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collaborate in real-time is innovative since it allows distant teams to communicate and share ideas with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
For smaller groups or individuals, the cost may be a little high, particularly if you require access to premium features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because of its user-friendly layout, our team can easily plan, brainstorm, and visualise projects.

Amazing to structure and share my ideas

  • November 25, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the simple stuff. It is easy to create texts, blocks, put in code, printscreens and connect everything with arrows. This is fundamental to structure what I am thinking and to share my ideas with the other people in the company.

I also love that the canvas is very big because i'm a developer, so I continuously use it like a notebook to save how the system was before I did any change, putting printscreens, showing a diagram of how it was and the results before I did anything. After I finish my work I just go there and create a new diagram if needed and put printscreens of my results if I ever get questioned about my tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I HATE that there is no control about dates, I use it almost daily and I would love to be able to know WHEN I created something and to put dates automatically in frames. There is so much stuff in Miro that now I have no Idea when I did it.

I really get BOTHERED when I am creating a flow with many post its, frames, rectangles and text because I ALWAYS have problems with the arrows. Sometimes I just cant connect it to where I want. Sometimes I have to create invisible rectangles and group it with something else just to connect my arrow. Sometimes I just can select or conect the arrow with something inside or outside a frame, and so on.

Also, I WISH there was a better way to control de fontsize and the text inside a post it. I always tend to use rectangles just because they are easier to put in text and control it, but I understand that post its are meant to be easy and fast to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with AI and we are always making out product better, such as making it beeing more assertive, doing new tasks and so on. I always have new ideias to make our product better, but to make them come to life I have to be able to communicate my idea, and Miro is the single best thing on the internet to create simple diagrams that make my idea be more than just works, with Miro people can SEE what I am saying.

After I show my idea and it gets aproved I use miro to actually put the results of the validation I am doing there, and so It gets even more visual. I can't see a world where I would convince the people around me of my ideas without using a whiteboard like Miro.

My favorite mind mapping tool

  • November 25, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is my preferred tool for quickly laying down any thoughts I have in my head that I need to put to paper. I've on many occasions had an idea, or a way to visualize or bring structure to ideas, and have opened up Miro to put pen to paper.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any concerns with Miro at the current moment. It meets all of my needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At a credit card company, there are consistent complex challenges and logic that we need to consider. It's important to have a tool that can enable us to quickly put our thoughts down, and formalize documentation that can truly power a small business, and get it ready for growth.

One of the best collaboration tools

  • November 25, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
1. Customisable templates that aid thinking
2. Very little time to onboard a new user
3. Engaging collaborative experiences with the team
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Some of the templates are over explained. It would be good for an expert user to be able to decide how the template needs to show up on the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Collaboration with the team
2. Helping the team think more visually and creatively

Easy to use whiteboarding and charting tool but I wish was more feature rich

  • November 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use. The click and drag interface and the templated actions make visualising data and concepts easy.
It is also easy to share and collaborate with others.
The free licence tier makes it easy for others to join in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though the data in flowcharts and mindmaps are in a structured heirarchy, Miro does not export the data in that structure. Especially for csv the data comes out in one column and in the order in which it was added to Miro, which is illogical.

Items on the board that cross each other or overlap are difficult to work with as the item you want might be burried behind other items. Miro operates its layers like Powerpoint, which is equally difficult to use. I find myself sending foreground items to the back multiple times to get to the item I want.

Miro is only two dimensional. In my mind maps I want to be able to provide more information about an item in the map but the only way to do that is to create another label or postit note. I would love to be able to provide depth to an item where someone could hover and read a description of that item.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are collborating with a service provider on the scope of a CRM build. We used a mindmap Miro to represent the full breath and depth of what is required. It is useful to see all the requirements categorised and visualised so solution analysts can grasp all that is required.

Elsewhere in my organisation people are using it to show database diagrams, data schemas, collaborate on questions in RFP meetings, and document system requirements.

Miro makes it easy to do all these things because of its capability, ease of use and ease of sharing/collaborating.
