A Powerful Collaborative Whiteboard Tool

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The real-time collaboration feature allows my teammates and me to work together seamlessly, no matter where we are. I love the variety of templates available; they help me organize my thoughts and present ideas clearly.

Integrating with tools like teams has made it even easier to keep everything in one place. The visual elements, like sticky notes and shapes, really bring our ideas to life and make discussions more dynamic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be a bit tricky to figure out at first, and if you have a big board with lots of stuff, it might get a little slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MIro helped me tackle some key challenges in my role. It provides a shared digital workspace where my team and I can collaborate in real time, in my previous role it helped me in wireframing and product roadmap creation, datamodel creation as part of product development.

I especially appreciate the visual tools for mapping out workflows. They help me identify potential bottlenecks before they become problems, leading to smoother operations and less downtime. Overall, MIRO has improved our teamwork and productivity, making my job a lot more efficient.

Solid image compilation board

  • October 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to copy-paste images directly into the board rather than having to upload them
What do you dislike about the product?
Text tools feel awkward and cumbersome, choosing type size and having it remain consistent through scaling doesn't feel great to me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps organize complex interdisciplinary systems that require multiple inputs across many different specialized teams

Great tool for organizing work and collaborating

  • October 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Miro helps me organize my work tasks. It’s super easy to use, has a clear and simple design, and really helps me stay on top of things. It’s flexible, so I can organize my tasks in whatever way makes sense for me, which also reduces my stress. Plus, working together with my teammates on the same board is so smooth! Great tool for creativity and planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I don’t have any complaints. Miro has so many features, and it’s clear the team behind it is always improving it by adding useful updates. I’m very happy with it, and I can’t think of another tool I’d prefer to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me stay organized and manage my workload more efficiently. By allowing me to lay out tasks visually, it makes complex projects feel more manageable and helps me reduce stress. The collaborative features also improve teamwork, making it easy to align with my colleagues and track progress together. In short, it helps me work smarter and keeps me focused, leading to better productivity and less anxiety about work.

Really important addition to remote work toolset

  • October 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When I first started using Miro, I thought it was a glorified online whiteboard. However, I was quickly won over, as our teams are almost fully remote (six continents). It has become the go-to collaboration tool, and virtually every important meeting/decision in our company is documented on Miro. We're at the point where even in-person meetings have an associated Miro board.
Linking the Jira cards to the Miro board is really useful, as our R&D team is a heavy user of Atlassian's tool stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still struggle to find all the different boards. Unless someone provides me with a direct link, wading through the various boards is a bit of a spaghetti mountain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration of 380+ staff across six continents.

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as a kanban board, and as a place to diagram solutions

Our product planning can't progress without Miro!

  • October 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to visualize relations and flows of multiple aspects of the products/features, using different colors, shapes, lines, and images. I always use borad sharing option to Slack and Notion, which we used as the official communication spaces, and the boards can directly gather feedback from team members. I sometimes use templates provided in the strategy and planning category. They're awesome. As I'm a frequent user, I appreciate Miro can be accessed via SSO, which keeps me login all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's better if Miro has customization options. For example, orders of shape and lines listed in the menu are fixed, but I would like some frequently used shapes to be shown at the top.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To clarify relationships of different aspects of features and ideas. To identify step-by-step flows for customer journeys. To streamline organizational charts and roles and responsibilities. To conduct brainstorming and KPT with teammates.

Great collaboration software! And general tool for brainstorming

  • October 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How it allows me to collaborate and quickly map out things, quickly make diagrams, generally quickly onboard other users. I use it with most of my team on an everyday basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the AI tools don't really work as much as I'd like. I wish AI could assist you in doing certain things like guiding yout throught process. Also very limited offline facilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the need to have a permanent, quick and "smart" online whiteboard

Intuitive Collaboration Platform with Room for Improvement

  • October 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro for team collaboration and facilitation with clients and find it to be a clean and easy-to-use visual workspace, ideal for participatory collaboration. I like that it's pretty easy to get started right away and has the ability to scale to more complexity. I also appreciate the templates, which I often reference for examples and ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often have to remind myself to check to see what is 'locked down' before going from board design to board use. And often when small things change on the board, the connections between items (the lines) can get all messed up in big ways.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for a clean and easy to use visual workspace for participatory collaboration, though I have to watch out for locked items and connection issues.

    Computer Software

Miro is easy to use. Great for engineers to design and share implementation plans.

  • October 25, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Less overwhelming compared to Figma.
What do you dislike about the product?
The text formatting is not quite as advanced as I like and the table building functionality is not great. However, I do think they're solving this via the Docs feature.

I wish there was an easy way to build UML diagrams. All it's missing is a way to create a table for UML schemas and list out fields easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an engineer, I can quickly build out engineering and systems diagrams. It's fun to use.

Short sweet concise

  • October 25, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I would like to highlight the ease of use on Miro to get ideas out in a digital format. Short of using a physical whiteboard it's been a hub for remote teams to collaborate and diagram our issues out in a presentable manner.

The templates are useful in a number of ways. Even when all the elements are not incorporated into the discussion the individual compenents can be repurposed appropriately.
What do you dislike about the product?
One constant issue we have as a participant is text on the elements tend to get bigger and bigger.

The longer the discussion and in turn the production of elements tend to end up with text size in the triple digits.

This could be the problem of the user.

Maybe there should be a way to normalize the board at the end. To scale down both text / icon elements appropriately?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General whiteboard discussions as the need arises. Otherwise all this will have to be captured in text format somehow.
