good platform for interactive teaching / co-creation

What do you like best about the product?
While materials stored in computer folders might easily be forgotten, Miro offers a good solution—everything becomes visible at a glance. By placing materials on a Miro board, I can easily organize them, build structures, and make connections, which makes the entire process more streamlined and productive.

One of the standout features of Miro is its collaborative capabilities. Multiple users can work on the same board or project simultaneously, making it incredibly easy to co-create and share ideas in real time.

Additionally, the ability to revert to a previous version of the board helped me recover accidentally deleted items, which is a huge relief when working on complex projects.

While I haven’t tested its maximum capacity, Miro seems capable of handling a significant amount of uploaded content. I hope it can accommodate the entire set of materials for a course with 20+ students, but so far, the storage capacity has been no problem.

The support team of Miro is great! They replied to my email very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally I encountered technical issues such as a freezing board or not being able to open a board. But it usually resolves after a few refreshes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
a storage for data collection; co-creation of project ideas; organise ideas

Once You Start, You Can’t Stop – A Highly Addictive Collaboration Tool

  • September 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I started using Miro more frequently during the pandemic, and it quickly became a go-to tool for team online meetings. It’s incredibly addictive—once you start using it, it's hard to switch to anything else. The flexibility and ease of collaboration make it feel like an essential part of the workflow, especially when working remotely. Even now, I find myself using Miro for almost every project or meeting. It just works, and it keeps our team connected and productive in a way other tools haven't been able to match.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version is quite limited, and the pricing for larger teams or more advanced features can add up quickly, which might be a downside for small teams or startups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Engagement during meetings has improved. Instead of passive participation, everyone is more engaged because they can actively contribute. This has made our meetings more productive and cut down on the time spent circling back on missed ideas.

Good tool for collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a good whiteboard app. It allows for segmented sections on the board for easy organization and navigation. The app is quick to set up (browser or desktop) and to learn. I use this in all of our planning meetings, brainstorming, and ideation. It fits in easily to my strategy and capacity planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
With a large team, there can be a lot of movement on the board. It takes a while to get used to seeing all the work going on, but when you do, it's almost magical how easily ideas can be shared.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a distributed workforce and Miro allows us to map and brainstorm almost as if we were physically in the same room.

Miro is a must have in a world of online collaboration

  • September 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am truly impressed by how effortlessly I can create detailed, 1000-word pictures and sketches to bring my ideas to life on the Miro board. It’s difficult to imagine how we managed online collaboration before we began using Miro to visually support and clarify our thought processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The scrolling takes some getting used to. When you have several layers stacked on top of each other, it becomes quite difficult to select the correct item without accidentally moving a frame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miscommunication often happens, but being able to see the idea displayed on screen makes everything much clearer. It becomes much easier to understand how different elements are connected and relate to each other.

Very handy for product managers, not so for designers

  • September 25, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We are using Miro as the product team and it is the perfect tool to meet and discuss new features and ideas. Our product managers use and lead the tool actually and us designers add our thoughts and ideas during the meeting or afterwards.

The tools and features are easy to use to put in ideas. (votes, post-its etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit hard for designers to adapt to the tool, especially when creating flows as we look at it from the design perspective and it is hard to not to have control over basic things.

As we use other tools like Figma to design a product we look for a similar experience but it takes time to understand and since it does not work the same. I would be much more comfortable doing it on Figjam. But since we as a team use Miro for discussions, I am trying to adapt to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating product flows and discussions over features visually are two of things we do most on Miro, and these help us understand the product better while saving us time without having to meet.
