The go-to platform for remote collaboration & workshops
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to easily share a board with anyone with a link and password, even letting guests edit the board. The facilitation features are also top notch, and nowadays I even sometimes prefer running a workshop in Miro over a physical location. It also seemed easier to implement into a corporate environment (my employer is based in Finland, EU), GDPR-wise etc., compared to Mural, a competitor.
What do you dislike about the product?
Post-it notes with Miro, compared to Mural, don't snap to grid as nicely or easily – at least that was the case about 2 years ago. So you have to be more organised to keep the board nice and tidy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When doing customer interviews, it saves a lot of time doing them remotely and using Miro as the notekeeping platform. Also with Miro we can show the interviewee some kind of stimulus that they can react to, even edit te board with us, completing some kind of an exercise. Also to be able to collect interview notes from a bunch of interviews together in a same place and then visually work on them to draw insights.
Fun, amazing tool with endless features that improves engagement
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is extremely intuitive to use and really improves both internal collaboration between and engagement with my colleagues. It has a really robust set of features that has me coming back to this tool frequently; wherever I can, I'm integrating Miro and reducing the number of other tools I need to use to do my job. It's particularly helpful for people who are project or process-oriented - I'm constantly using the Kanbans, Timeline, and Diagramming tools. It's also greate for any team that brainstorms or pivots frequently - you can use sticky notes, mindmapping, and voting tools to facilitate sessions for these purposes. I also love the "Talktrack" feature, that records your face, voice & screen as you walk another user through your board - many use cases including a close-gap measure for a missed 1:1 with your boss, updating an overseas colleague, or onboarding a new employee. Finally, I'm so impressed with our CSM (Customer Success Manager), Miro in general and the community's commitment to helping you learn the tool, and further refine the tool. They are always releasing new tools and features and improving the existing content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have only two things to complain about. First, I've had problems with cards in Kanbans disappearing randomly. I can confirm by reviewing the board history that these were not deleted by a user accidentally. Second, there have been days when my team has experienced issues with Miro either not loading, or content that was input wasn't saved and reverts to a previous version. So I have some concerns around its reliability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
These are just a couple of many examples!
Problem 1: Colleague engagement. Through use of the Teams integration, presentation mode, tools for brainstorming & voting, etc - we've seen our colleagues become more engaged. I do think part of this also has to do with the "Private Mode", which allows team members to remain anonymous and feel empowered to ask questions. It really helps with the "Democratization of Voice" - no longer is the loudest person in the room the only voice that is heard!
Problem 2: Tool overload. Miro helps me reduce the number of tools I have to access or switch between. I have 100% replaced Visio; it lets me upload .vsdx files and converts them perfectly. With presentation mode, I'm going to Powerpoint less often as I grow more comfortable creating content in Miro. With Kanbans we're relying on Smartsheets less. It is nice not having to switch between programs/tools/browser windows constantly and therefore it helps me achieve my goals faster/seamlessly.

What do you dislike about the product?
- When dealing with a large board with many elements, especially images, it can affect performance.
- Some actions could be improved like undo for example; it would be great if undo included selections.
- When adding a frame there are only options for default sizes, it would be better if there was a free hand click and drag option

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem Miro solves for me is how to collaborate remotely.
Miro has been a game changer for remote collaboration. It allows teams to come together, share ideas, collect feedback, synthesise research, order ideas, vote together and many more benefits. This has made it possible for remote working to succeed and build a better sense of collaboration and bonds within teams.

Collaboration when the team is distributed
Indespensible companion for collaboration, creativity and workshops
What do you like best about the product?
Miro offers a level of collaborative creativity that I haven't seen in any other tool. The possibilities for its use are endless and diverse. For example, it can be used to visualize a customer overview with all ongoing assignments, facilitate retrospectives, generate joint action lists, and experiment with different approaches for workshops. It also provides great tools for running workshops, such as a timer and voting features. I find it especially useful because it allows us to consolidate various tasks and activities into a single platform, rather than using multiple tools for different purposes. Additionally, it offers a lot of fun options to make our work visually engaging and positive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's the threshold for using some tools. Even though I return to the tool regularly, I need to keep reminding myself how to utilize some features, and I'm still not sure if I use it in the best possible way when we run workshops. I would like to make this part more streamlined and simplified for me as a facilitator to support me in setting it up and rehearsing things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualize ideas and information for our Business Unit, visuzalize and collaborate on e.g. mgmt dashboard, various workshops e.g. risk analysis, idea generating, feedback, process modelling.

What do you like best about the product?
Great toolkit of functionality - covers a range of workflows from individual brainstoring and planning to collaborative work in both virual and hybrid settings.
I also really appreciate that they are consistently enhancing their features - I like that as both a good approach to software in general, as well as how it leads to specific Miro features.

What do you dislike about the product?
Recently, when I type in Mirro, it stops working, and the whole page becomes gray. I have to close and reopen the app for it to show all the contents. It has happened a lot lately, and I don't know if it's because there is too much content on the page. The page is unlimited, and there should not be any problems with the amount of content on one page or board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the writen work on paper and gathering them in one place , and collaborating with a team .
A complete solution for project planning

Templates are the best thing in Miro. Some of them extremely helpful in writing and organizing the notes. So it initiates a new thought process on a totally different dimension where our brains have limitations to think.
The zoom in/out feature is a breeze. In addition, the access controls are really helpful and fairly simple.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping me primary with the right tools for brain dumping and analyze all aspects. Plain note taking was not very effective and I used to rely on physical whiteboards, coloured marker pens. Thanks to Miro, now all my notes and work is completely online.
