    Consulting

Basically everyday user, for mindmapping myself and for client workshops etc.

What do you like best about the product?
The freeflow - non linear way I can structure my thoughts, data and imagery while I am making my conclusions and discoveries. Similar to moving post-its on a wall - but I can bring it to anywhere and share with any team-member in any country.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I also do presentations I often miss the ability to make master templates and align slides visually across a longer chapter.

The PDF export is terrible compared to most other softwares / applications. Files are either resonably sized with terrible picture resolution or gigantic and I have to compress them in a third party software after the export.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit for me is the ability to allow me to create organized multimedia chaos in a big mindmap - and bring it to order into a presentation on the same page in the same application. PowerPoint gives me anxiety in comparison when I am still discovering my journey since it constricts me to a set frame and a set scale - the infinity scale and zooming in miro (and other moodboard softwares) has helped me so much I am terrified of the idea of having to go back and collect sources, pictures and data in other ways.

Intuitive, powerful and user-friendly

  • August 14, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is intutive and easy to navigate, even for a first time user. I am a Product Manager and I use it on a daily basis to create feature flows, UX journeys, facilitate workshops and to present. I don't even remember I used Powerpoint to present.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real dislikes but there are definate areas that could be refined:
1) Presention-mode can be annoying, because the sequence in which you create Frames is not necessarily the sequence that you want to present in. So now you have to navigate to the next screen, which can look disorganized to your audience, especially EXCO members, who has never beeen exposed to MIRO before.

2) Over time, a board can become overwhelming, especially if multiple people work on it. It becomes diffcult to find the specific Frame you are looking for. I recommend adding the ability to sub-divide your board, maybe in quardrants.

Disclaimer - I am using the free-package so these challenges may not be relevant in a paid package. I would not know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro streamlines cross-functional teamwork. Miro facilitates brainstorming, ideation, and decision-making with designers, developers, and marketers. This eliminates silos and enhances alignment.

Visualizing Complex Concepts: Product managers work with complex ideas, user flows, and procedures. Miro's canvas lets you visualize these ideas. Miro reduces complex information via wireframes, flowcharts, and diagrams.

Product Development: Miro facilitates quick iteration. You can collaborate on product features, user stories, and roadmaps. This adaptability helps adjust to shifting needs and market realities.

Enhancing UX: Miro customer journey mapping identifies UX pain areas and gaps. Visualizing the full process helps you make UX and customer satisfaction decisions.

Great tool for building any kind of a diagram!

  • August 14, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is very intuitive and gives a hand whenever possible to lower the number of actions (clicks, mouse movements or keyboard actions) required to craft a diagram. The keyboard actions are intuitive too.
I use it whenever I have a low or high level of tech diagram to make.
What do you dislike about the product?
I strongly encourage the Miro team to develop features (starting from the simplest improvements)
TO LOWER the effort needed to re-arrange the elements of the diagram to look great again
( a lot of boring chore )
EACH TIME the content of the diagram evolves
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I feel always confident I have the tool, with which I will be able to craft a diagram I need quickly

Perfect Product Companion

What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to pick up and use. I tend to work from home a lot and Miro really helps bring people together and make online collaboration sessions so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
If i had to say a couple fo things that frustrate me it would be as follows. Firstly evertime i go to use a text box the font size is always super tricky to manage, especially if you have started with visuals. I sometimes find myself blowing the font size up to a crazy number just to see the text clearly. Secondly, due to the use of Miro i find myself having so many boards that i lose track sometimes...perhaps a smarter way of saving and coming back to boards would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to the remote working nature of my role Miro is teh best way to bring people together from all corners of the world. We can work as though we are 'in the smae room' with all the tools we need to collaborate and share ideas

Miro helps me think

  • August 13, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro's ease of use and flexible templates help me to conceptualize and brainstorm everything from marketing campaigns to outbound email flows, processes, and just about any idea. It's easy to use it in a way my thought process works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing your maps with others can be tricky, but once you figure it out, it's a breeze. It would also be cool to have different ways to present a Miro board in an online meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are leaning heavily on Miro to help us develop streamlined and scalable processes to plan B2B marketing campaigns and get them to market faster.

What do you like best about the product?
There is a tone of options you can implement your imagination. It is only way to replace offline pen drawing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont like only some function\features.
For exmaple I need to resize all stickers to one size manually...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The one main point - it is a tool of vizualize something. People better understand everything when you vizualize that (not tables and so on)

Corporate engineer turned high school tutor -- uses Miro with all my high school clients

  • August 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Miro is Web-based and does not require an account for basic access. Many of my clients only use Miro to interact with me, sometimes only once, and it is very helpful to have a whiteboarding solution that does not require any kind of download, account access, etc. I also really appreciate having a REST API to allow me to generate custom boards automatically without my having to manually create each one. Finally, I am pleased with the proptness of Customer Service when I have having technical difficulties.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance is occasionally slower than I woud like, especially if I have many elements on the board. Ideally I would like to be able to support a whole semester's worth of material on each board, but that turns out not to be practical due to performance limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows me to interact with my high school clients easily and on whatever problems they are having.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use miro and the different templates are very useful
What do you dislike about the product?
That everything has to be on one board and not on seperate tabs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to see everything layed out and makes the organization more organized
